A shiny new thread Smile. I thought if I didn't do it this evening, words would be had by magi....

Right, let bedtime chaos commence chez pumble town!

Christmas is a stress fest - don't worry about feeling like that. It's the dreariest, darkest time of the year (especially this winter) & P1 & P2 are now old enough, I suspect, to be super hyped. And you have a tiny P3. Hell of a lot on your plate.

Have you had a run? I assume that Mr P has some time off over Xmas?

Make sure you get out on your own for a bit whenever you can

And it will all be over in under a week!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all the Pumbles.

And a special kiss to P3 as he shares a name...........

I can't tell you how much I enjoy coming on here & reading your posts, Pumble, I do feel a real connection, even though we have never met.

Xmas Smile [santa] Wine

And lots of love to you all

Got p1 and p2 to bed but p2 very worried abjure Father Christmas coming in and touching her so had to hang her stocking outside the room....and then p1 worried how he could do hers in the room- there were negotiations of UN proportions!!!!

Nor to get p3 to sleep and it will be Winetime!

Hope you can Skype your PFGD tomorrow and share her first Christmas Smilexxx

How was it? How's the pox?

We had a quiet but good day. Crowned by skype - I clapped & PFGD beat her hands on the desk in appreciation back! And she smiled - just for granny.

Just under 3 weeks until I go & see her - not counting the days, oh no!

Just checking in and saying hi. Pox has gone, Christmas has happened. P1 is finding things tough but nkt sure why. Possibly exhaustion as lots been going on but not sure. Sometimes I worry she finds things stressful because of all the times I shouted or cried due to the PND but in more rational moments I don't think that's the case.

Can't believe how soon it is until you see PFGD again. She was obviously v excited to Skype you GrinWink

Think also feeling funny that life returns to normality again soon... Been at my parents and soon it will be back to home and then to school. Much as being at my parents bring stresses it's not normality which is nice!

Sod all to do with your PND - stop over thinking things!

I suspect she is still a bit run down post the pox & well out of routine with being at your parents. Also, it's probably the first Christmas she has got really excited about & then it's an awful let down when it's all over so very quickly!

DH has given me an extra Christmas present - his stinking cold & am feeling v snotty & tired. But it's a fine time of year to hibernate a bit.

Hope the Cold is improving magi-what a kind DH you have to share such things with you...

I shall wish you a very happy new year now as who knows if I will stil be awake at midnight....! I hope you have a wonderful 2016 filled with lots of cuddles and smiles with your PFGD.

I can't believe how much has changed since the new year I started the original thread... All for the better Smile

Hoping to do that run tomorrow-worries people will laugh at me as it will be slow due to the length of time since my last one (plus I'm a little larger too...!) but that's life and u want to run....

P3 all unsettled-possibly due to being back home and different surroundings. Hoping for peace soon!!

Happy New Year to you too, dearest Pumble. And HNY to all Pumblettes & Mr P.

I too am off to bed early.

No one will laugh at you - I bet you run like the wind & they will all be standing there with mouths open in admiration.

And a special xxxxx for P3 - I have a soft spot for him (you know why!).

I can honestly say that 2015 was the best year of my life - at 60!! (faints).

Would you like me to Pm my address & you can pop P3 in the post to me?? Grin

Well done on the run! Hope you can keep it going.

I must get back to swimming but will wait a few days until the tail end of cold is gone (it's much better, but am always cautious about swimming).

Ask me in a few years about 3/4 year olds - can't remember how to deal with them too well.

PFGD is nearly crawling & getting very cross as she only manages to go backwards Grin

I was so worried about heading back to normality but actually it's been ok. P2 is thriving being out of p1s shadow again and p1 is settling back ok. P3 adjusting to losing his proper naps etx too!!

I am a little worried about me and mr P. We are surviving but I think that's pretty much all you would say at the moment.... And I need some child free time...I love them but there's so many of them now!!

Not long until you see PFGD now is it? Are you getting super excited yet?

OP posts:
Report
magimedi · 07/01/2016 15:48

Excited? Me? Counting the days? No - pas du tout.

I think what you are describing re you & Mr P is very normal with 3 very young children. By the time the day is over, your work is done & his & P's are (hopefully) all in bed you're lucky if you have half an hour to yourselves. Not much chance of much closeness. P3 is possibly a bit young but soon you must make some adult time for yourselves. Get a babysitter & go out. Even if it just down the road to the pub for a drink for an hour or so. ANd don't talk about the DC!1

The DC are all consuming but one day (& it goes so bloody fast) they will be gone & left home & it will be just you & Mr P left there!! Very important to work hard to make time for each other now.

If I lived closer I'd come in & look after them all for an hour or two in the evening. You need to start looking for a surrogate granny!

Not wimpy, just tired I reckon.

Pleased that is all that's wrong though - when you think how things were & how far you have come..................

Hope you had the sunshine we had here this morning - what a difference to wake up a blue sky.

Am I excited? Have I been buying up half the books & baby clothes in my town? No, not me Grin

I know-I can't believe how different life is this time around than with P2. I'm sure it's tiredness not helped that p3 has a stinking cold. P2 fell asleep standing up today with her head resting on a chair which shows how tired she is!!!

I imagine there are very few books and clothes left in the area magi!! An appropriate scenario for any grandparent!

How's things 'mygast'?
