I want to cancel my skype and also facebook. I have googled. Sorry, I can't work out how to do it. I need to get rid of them both. Please, can anyone guide me what to do?

Thank you. I have been trying to force myself to keep busy today and not let myself have time to think. It's just all too overwhelming :(
Thank you for being there all of you lovely people.

One day at at time, Mosp. That is all you need to focus on. :)

MrsSnaplegs · 22/05/2012 19:24

Hi mosp just popping in to see how you are Smile what kept you busy today? How are your children?
We're here when you need us Smile

mosp · 22/05/2012 19:43

Been cleaning and tidying. Even cleaned the windows. Meant to tidy my bedroom this evening while the girls are out at their club, but decided it was far preferable to write to my penfriend :) That in itself is therapeutic :)
Thank for you coming back to check on me. I don't feel worthy of it, but really grateful. Please don't feel any obligation though...

No obligation - I've had some wonderful support from Mumsnet - glad to offer some.

Keeping busy and mind occupied is good and you seem a little calmer today.

Glad you have your pen friend to help you as well xx

MrsSnaplegs · 22/05/2012 20:28

A question - do you still write letters to your pen friend or is it all "modern email thingies " Grin

mosp · 22/05/2012 20:33

MrsS. There is actually a whole thread about said penfriend. Feel free to look it up if you're curious. We write proper letters because he has no internet. I love him to bits. He's never leery or pervy :)

MrsSnaplegs · 22/05/2012 20:49

I think that is fab that you still write letters. We move a lot with my job and when we move this time I'm hoping my DD will be able to write to her BFF from here Smile

NotGeoffVader · 22/05/2012 21:58

How lovely to still write letters. I did write proper letters to my penfriends up until a few years ago, but the one who I have the most correspondence with is now on email, so we find it cheaper and easier to keep up that way. The other one I am in regular contact with is online also, so we can share photos in an easier format.
In some ways it is good that I don't write as such now, as my handwriting is appalling! But I have made some excellent friends in other countries.
Have you ever met up with your penfriend, Mosp?

mosp · 22/05/2012 22:02

I really hope that one day I will meet him, but it will be hard.

It's so great getting a real letter drop through the letter box. I look forward to them, and he always writes streams. He also always writes back straightaway, although he takes a few days over writing the letters, as do it. I kind of write as though it's a diary really.

Mosp, that sounds lovely!

NotGeoffVader · 22/05/2012 22:20

I agree, Molepom!

I am meeting up with one of my penpals later this year - it'll be great to catch up as we've not seen each other in 16 years.

I now realise how much I miss 'proper' letter-writing. :)

mosp · 22/05/2012 22:23

you lovely people on this thread, if you want a penfriend you could go through 'humanwrites' as I did. I am so grateful I saw the ad and went ahead. He's enriched my life.

Hi mosp glad you are having a better day. Grin

MrsSnaplegs · 23/05/2012 06:19

Mosp -not sure they would be suitable for my 6 yr old DDGrin

mosp · 23/05/2012 07:37

Ha ha. Not quite yet. :)

Thanks for the tip, Mosp - I might just check that site out. I got penpals years ago when in my late teens. Originally I had eight or nine but gradually lost touch with a few. I am still in contact with four -and have met all but one of those over the last ten years.
It would be nice to exchange views etc with people in different countries, but they'll have to be English speakers as my grasp of foreign languages is pretty much zilch! :)

What are you up to today? I am trying to write an essay...but as you can see, I got distracted by MN!

mosp · 23/05/2012 10:43

I'm house cleaning again today. Listening to music and trying not to think.

Time for a cup of tea I think :)

Let me know if u get a pen pal, won't u?

Sorry for text speak. Hard to do it on iPod.

OP posts:
NotGeoffVader · 23/05/2012 10:47

ooh yes, a cuppa is always good.

Going to go and get on with essay writing, but feel free to keep chatting here (I'll be back later) or PM me if you need to. Not sure where you are in the UK but if you can get into the garden for some fresh air (the sun is out here) and a little vitamin D, all the better. x

MrsSnaplegs · 23/05/2012 14:26

I'm supposed to be working but as you can see I'm not Grin
In the middle of handing over my job before my next one but have another month here hanging around until due to start my next one so trying to look busy but think I will slope of home early today as the weather is glorious!
mosp your house will be sparkling soon!

mosp · 24/05/2012 13:16

Wow, it is SO hot again. Off to hang out the washing.

RetroMom · 24/05/2012 14:19

It's summer. This time of year always makes you feel better, don't you find?

How are you holding up?

NotGeoffVader · 24/05/2012 14:41

Urgh - I am still writing stuff. But thanks for mentioning your washing, Mosp, you just reminded me that I need to empty the machine.
I did go to do it earlier but got sidetracked clearing up cat sick.
I do lead a glamorous life Grin

mosp · 24/05/2012 17:52

It does make me feel better, yes. Just being so light outside, it feels safe. However, I don't enjoy the sticky and itchy skin!

What is the essay Geoff?

Today I spent all day tidying my dd's bedroom. Under the bed was a sight to behold!

Mambonumberfour · 24/05/2012 17:57

Mosp, glad to read you seeming a little perkier - everything seems a little better in the sunshine I find.

How are you doing today? Did you send your letter off?
