ok - x posts with your 23.50 post.

Don't tell her then, ring but don't tell her.

You're not doing it for her - you're doing it for you and your DS.

Alambil · 23/07/2010 00:04

thanks

I don't have childcare for ds either tomorrow - mum arranged it with my nan (who potentially has dementia so isn't my first choice, I have to admit) .... but she's decided she needs to go to sainsburys (even though there's noone to take her)

so she can't have him

so... do I get to my house for 9am an leave ds here with my dad (mum will probably be out walking the dogs) or do I wait and see if she meant she wasn't coming or what.....

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 00:18

leave him there - if she's not coming with you she can look after him.

tbh I think you're going to be better offf having a day tackling it on your own without all the extra tension that it brings.......

Alambil · 23/07/2010 00:22

it wasn't too bad today... til an hour or so ago

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 00:26

look at your 22.01 post.........it was bad enough for you to feel shit .

Alambil · 23/07/2010 00:42

true...

I will get up, get ds breakfast, get dressed and go to the house to start whether she's in or out or up or in bed...

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 00:45

that's what I like to read

you go and get stuck in and show yourself what you can do

toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 00:45

what's are tomorrow's jobs then?

Alambil · 23/07/2010 00:56

um, let me think...

get rubbish from settee/pouffe/toybox and by cupboard and tip it

tip left overs of today (table legs etc)

sort stuff on chair and pouffe and settee

put sorted stuff where it needs to be; clothes in bags upstairs, other stuff away

hoover under furniture

see if spray I got for carpet will do the job

buy cat litter and change her box

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 00:59

cool - so a few things there that will be done in one go I guess - 2 things for the tip, and I guess you'll buy the cat litter on the way to/from the tip?

You can get that stuff done without her bellowing down your ear firing instructions at you.

Just make sure you write it down on a piece of paper to have with you so you can triumphantly cross them off when you've done them

Alambil · 23/07/2010 01:02

yes, you're right - the tip things will go together and I'll stop at tesco on the way home

i will write them down now

i can not believe what a fool of myself i'm making on here!

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:04

you're not making a fool of yourself.

If that was my list it would start off with

Get up and dressed
Give DS1 his breakfast
Find car keys
Go to house

and include

have lunch
have dinner

etc etc as well

toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:05

oh there is one little thing you've not put on that list to do tomorrow ........ring the Drs.......

I'm going to keep nagging you like LGJ (what the hells bells happened to her????) did to me years ago.

Alambil · 23/07/2010 01:07

i was going to go for an emergency appointment tomorrow

it can be up to a month wait otherwise

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:09

no need to blush - great idea. It needs sorting sooner than later. You don't want to be waiting around another month

Last time round (couple of months back) when I realised I HAD to go to the Drs I went for an emergency appointment.

Alambil · 23/07/2010 01:10

i am just so terrified

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:12

I know - but you don't need to be.

toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:13

could you write down some of the things you want to say/want some help with incase you clam up? I did that last time I went, didn't need to refer to it in the end but was reassuring to know that I had the paper in my pocket if I suddenly found myself unableto articulate myself

Alambil · 23/07/2010 01:15

I was planning on "morning - I need help, not pills, I don't know what - I am actually losing my mind and cracking up"

I kinda figured that covered it all...

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:18

he might offer you pills just to help "even you out" (as the GP said to me when I went - he was right they did help me even out so I could start dealing with the deeper stuff) and then sort something out as well.

But yeah - it does kind of cover it all regardless of whether you accept some pills to help in the short time or not

Alambil · 23/07/2010 01:21

lol yeah

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 23/07/2010 01:24

I kind of liked the term "even me out" kind of like ironing a piece of clothing to get the creases out before you fold it up to finish the job

Tortington · 23/07/2010 15:21

yo yo yo lewis - hows it goin today>?

Alambil · 23/07/2010 16:48

yo yo custy

it was ok - mum did come and was alright with me

I think last night was more about being the punch bag than the focus of all the stress, if that makes sense

We've COMPLETED the living room today. That means MORE than what that woman wanted done is done and it's clean and tidy and everything...

just need to go tomorrow to put things like dvds and stuff away
