Day 1 of this adventure. I’ve got a headache but will soon be going to bed.
My eating window today was 8am-4pm. I’ve got so much to shift & hope I can keep this up. Anyone else want to join?

Oh @Rollergirl11 well done and sounds like you had a blast doing it! I’m so tempted by a day fest.

I’ve had a VERY busy work at week this past week. In an hour earlier every day and on my feet all day and eating my lunch on the go. Exhausting but resulted in another 1lb down at 9st 10.

Then yesterday there was a big group of us celebrating assorted birthdays and we went to Drumsheds. For those who haven’t heard of it it’s an old Ikea depot in Tottenham North London that has been converted into a 15,000 capacity super-club. The events are held during the day so perfect for us oldies as means you’re home by midnight. Anyway, had the best time, danced for hours and hours. Also ended up doing OMAD as ate a big lunch from a yummy pop-up and didn’t end up eating again.

Weighed myself this morning and am a further lb down which means I have now reached my target weight of 9st 9! I am sure it’s probably water weight as must be completely dehydrated after yesterday. I would say that I will probs fluctuate up and down for a few days but I’m still sooo happy. Think I’m going to carry on until 9 st 7 and see what happens.

SW: 10st 9
CW: 9st 9
TW: 9st 7

Well done!!

Cashew1 · 11/11/2024 16:42

Finding today hard, had some toast late last night and broke fast after 12 hours by having oat milk in my coffee. Disregarding that got to 16 hours.

Roast veg for lunch
Will be tomato and feta pasta for dinner

GameOfJones · 11/11/2024 17:17

Well done @Rollergirl11!

A 17 hour fast for me today. Poached eggs and avocado on sourdough for lunch and I'm just making a coconut chicken curry with brown rice and lots of extra veg for dinner.

greengreyblue · 11/11/2024 17:19

Some days are like that @Cashew1 but you’ve done really well regardless.
18 hr fast
lunch: chicken salad , apple.
dinner: chicken pasta using stock from yesterday and leftover chicken with leeks and carrots and tarragon.

Rollergirl11 · 11/11/2024 18:43

I weighed myself this morning and as I suspected I’ve put 1lb back on again. I knew that it would be down to dehydration. So still 1lb or 3lb if I use my new target of 9 st 7.

greengreyblue · 12/11/2024 16:40

18 hr fast
lunch: daal with spinach. Apple
dinner: chicken skewers with roasted veg and bulgur wheat . A pear.

Cashew1 · 12/11/2024 19:06

18 hour fast

Egg fried rice with tofu, sweetcorn and spring onions

Leftovers made into a salad, bit of everything with some omelette, leaves, feta, and veg.

Got a work lunch at 1230 tomorrow so have finished up eating early here to still fit in an 18 hour fast!

Oh and gym this morning

Queencam · 12/11/2024 20:34

@Rollergirl11 I’ve been eyeing up drumsheds for some time! I live nearby; it looks amazing. Chemical Brothers the other week!! Whyyyy did I miss that!

Feel like I’ve been a bit shit at food recently, it’s all slippped a bit. Still fasting 16 hours daily but I’m not sure that’s having any effect. It needs to be super healthy diet plus fasting to actually shift any weight doesn’t it…

Rollergirl11 · 12/11/2024 21:44

@Queencam it was The Chemical Brothers we saw at the weekend! It was a night to celebrate a club night that’s been running for 30 years and who we know through friends. The Chems were immense as they always are. I thoroughly recommend Drumsheds, although it is somewhat bizarre wondering through an old IKEA building!

Queencam · 12/11/2024 22:04

@Rollergirl11 whaaaaaat no way! Beyond jealous!

Have been there as an Ikea many times, I can imagine it must be pretty strange!

Cashew1 · 13/11/2024 07:08

Sounds amazing @rollergirl I am jealous! I am also a Londoner sounds like there are a few of us on the thread!

Clearingaspace · 13/11/2024 08:37

Hi would you mind if I join you all? I am on another lovely thread but the posts are more weekly or so. I am a fellow Londoner however but very uncool so no idea about the ikea warehouse!

Hello waves to @GameOfJones!

I am currently skipping dinner but plan for 3 meals a day at the weekend. I have teens who find it cringe when we all eat together at the table unless we are at a restaurant Blush I am hoping to do one autophagy fast in the next week or so but so far haven’t been able to and have been slipping an occasional milky coffee into my fasting times. Still I am losing a bit every day right now. I suspect this is because I am relosing weight I lost earlier in the year and I will need to be more strict to get new weight off.

Of course @clearingaspace, welcome!

I find skipping dinner really hard, how's that going? I find breakfast way easier.

Clearingaspace · 13/11/2024 10:07

@Cashew1 thank you so much! I am the total opposite I find skipping breakfast so hard! I do eat a much bigger lunch than usual though. I find it harder not to have my evening milky decaf drinks but to be fair I drink an unhealthy amount of coffee and decaf so it’s no bad thing even if it’s just a reduction. Weirdly eating dinner makes me more likely to go on to eat other things late in the evening. The only downside is it is very antisocial so I couldn’t do it every day.

greengreyblue · 13/11/2024 16:02

Hi and welcome @Clearingaspace !
18 hr fast
lunch: leftover bulgur wheat with roasted veg and some cottage cheese. An apple
dinner: will be chicken thigh tray bake ( sweet potatoes and veg)
Would also find missing dinner hard, especially in this weather. I’m finding that although I’m a lifetime breakfast eater, it actually benefits me to skip as I’m not a morning person so skipping food means I have more time and am now organised it he morning.

Queencam · 13/11/2024 16:27

Hello welcome @Clearingaspace !

Funny as I've been thinking about trying skipping dinner lately. It's meant to be better for you to eat more earlier in the day isn't it. And I'm so knackered by the time I've got the kids to bed I can never be bothered to cook. Will give it a go I think.

Clearingaspace · 13/11/2024 18:48

@18hourfast - tagging you after replying on your thread not sure if it will work

Clearingaspace · 13/11/2024 18:55

Thank you so much for the welcome @greengreyblue

@Queencam maybe I will join you in switching things up by skipping breakfast tomorrow! Yes I have read that it is slightly more beneficial to skip dinner, I also wonder if this might be more the case in winter when the nights are dark as apparently a lot links with our circadian rhythm. Maybe it’s bollocks but I seem to find fasting easier in the autumn than the summer - I wonder if it’s because food becomes more scarce in winter? Fasting definitely frees up time and saves money - there are a lot of pros compared to other diets.

Queencam · 13/11/2024 20:20

@Clearingaspace love that theory!

I’ve found so far with colder darker days I’m reaching for food as comfort more…

Time to up my soup game I think.

greengreyblue · 14/11/2024 16:24

18 hr fast
lunch: smoked mackeral fillet and salad, apple
dinner: just making a coconut curry with cod and prawns. Brown rice.

Clearingaspace · 14/11/2024 18:45

@Queencam ooh let me know if you have any good recipes!

Your food sounds amazing @greengreyblue

20 hour fast- my weight was up despite skipping dinner yesterday. I think it was salt related. Anyway, it gave me a push to skip breakfast and do omad. However I ate too much (healthy stuff) at lunch and ended up totally wiped out - I guess it was a ‘carb coma’. Need to be more careful or push my meal to dinner time if only having one meal on a work (from home) day.

greengreyblue · 15/11/2024 07:18

Morning it’s weigh day for me. I’ve lost a smidge. Under 9st 10 but not quite 9st 9. 😏 Was so pleased to see a different number though.
SW: 10st 66.24kg (June)
CW: 9st 9.5 61.5 kg
TW: 9st 7 60.5kg
This is the lowest number so far by 0.2kg! 😆

Cashew1 · 15/11/2024 09:13

No fast yesterday, just really wasn't feeling it so had three meals

Marmite on toast
Salad of whatever was left in the fridge
Fried eggs and avocado on crumpets

So overall pretty healthy. Will try to get back on the fast today with a skipped breakfast.

Too scared to weigh as had an indulgent evening the other night too!

Queencam · 15/11/2024 09:35

That’s brilliant @greengreyblue , are you feeling the difference in your clothes etc?

my period has cleared off so I stepped back on the scales. Weight has held at 61.6kg and I’m pretty chuffed with that.

would love to get to 60 by Christmas!
