Well done @DaisyWaldron and @MercedesBenz! I have dropped an inch today on my waist and on my hips so am now very comfortably a clothes size down (probably 2 if not 3 sizes down since I started!). My waist measurement was in the ‘significant concern’ category before I started.

Sorry @JaquelineBean! This may be no consolation today but I now occasionally have a liquorice and mint tea if I want something sweet after dinner. I never thought I’d be someone who would accept a herbal tea as a hit of something sweet! It really does taste very sweet.

LotsOfTrees · 10/06/2021 08:59

1.5 inches to go and my waist will be in the healthy range (below 31.5 inches)

vestastilly · 10/06/2021 10:32

@JaquelineBean a second vote here for liquorice tea. I like the clipper one, it tastes very sweet but great for those moments when you just need something!

Hi All, I have had a bit of a break.
Started Fast 800 in February, did 10 weeks on it ending on 14th May 2021, and then had a week off work, had my birthday and went away for a weekend and sort of fell off the wagon.

I kept intermittent fasting, but there was some carbs, several gallons of wine and even fish and chips one night......

I was dreading getting back on the scales today, but had only gained 1lb!!

I'm not sure what to do now - I don't think you are supposed to do the 8 weeks 800 diet again so soon after the previous one, so I am thinking intermittent fasting, and Mediterranean style diet keeping under 1500cals and ensuring I have a decent walk everyday.

I was wondering if I started the 800 again if I would have the rapid weight loss you get when you start a new diet?

anyway....Stats:

Starting Weight: 259lbs
Starting BM (blood sugar) on waking: 12.6mmol/L
Waist: 126cm
BMI: 39.38

Week 10
Weight: 234lb - total 25lb loss
BM: 6.0mmol/L
Waist: 105cm - total reduced 21cm
BMI: 35.4

Today:
Weight: 235lbs - total 24lb loss

Will do all the BM, waist etc at next weigh in.

LotsOfTrees · 10/06/2021 12:51

Good news on only gaining 1lb @LockdownLard! I’m not sure what the answer is about re-starting the strict 800 again but would be interested to know.

DaisyWaldron · 10/06/2021 13:25

@LockdownLard, wow! That waist reduction is seriously impressive.

Thanks @DaisyWaldron I must admit it reduced a lot - most of it in the first 6 weeks, I have gone down two sizes in jeans.

Balloondog · 10/06/2021 15:15

Wow @LockdownLard, that's an amazing loss of inches! Well done 👏🏽
We had shakshuka for lunch today - another winner and amazingly filling

Just done blood sugars -6.1 - after lunch - glad to see it has stayed down Grin

LotsOfTrees · 10/06/2021 19:31

Yet another favourite tonight - chicken goujons with Parmesan crust and salad. In nine weeks we’ve developed quite a repertoire of favourites.

LotsOfTrees · 10/06/2021 19:33

You’ve done really well @LockdownLard. Good for all of us to see it’s possible to maintain when not on the strictest plan. And your inch loss is incredible!
I watched the last of Michael Mosley’s 21 Day Turnaround last night and it’s amazing the difference three weeks even can make.

Thanks :-) there’s a long way to go. I was weary of it and the three weeks off has given me a break as it was quite hard - I stuck to it for 10 weeks with only a couple of deviations. I measured today and another cm off my “waist” but still a pound heavier - it doesn’t make sense 😂
LockdownLard · 10/06/2021 19:53

This is the visual of my total loss over the ten weeks - as you can see I have a lot of weight around my middle, which is why I think it dropped off from there first.

Thanks - I feel much better, lots more energy and it is really motivating losing nearly 2 stone in ten weeks - I was disheartened because I thought I’d blown it, but now I know it’s only 1lb on I’ going to get back on it - I continued to intermittent fast - only eating between 12 and 8pm, so this may have been my saviour!
IsFuzzyBeagMise · 11/06/2021 06:56

Good for you, LockdownLard that's fantastic.

DaisyWaldron · 11/06/2021 20:20

Urgh, I was really, really hungry today, and felt all light-headed at work. So I decided not to count calories this evening, and to have a bit more fat, so I had tasty Ottolenghi seven-spice chicken with a big salad and some Greek yogurt.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 11/06/2021 20:46

That sounds delicious, DaisyWaldron!

LotsOfTrees · 11/06/2021 20:53

I had a meal at a friend’s house so not on plan at all and probably took me to 1400 calories total today.

MercedesBenz · 12/06/2021 07:26

Have a bbq to go to today will stay away from the carbs and will limit the alcohol drinks . ( plan a)

I suddenly ‘feel ‘ lighter , less bloated and managing to stay up later ( I love my bed lol) hoping to maintain that feeling

I made spicy beans which was so simple ,, tin mixed beans mixed with a home made spicy sauce , it was delicious and vv quick ( and cheap ) either units own or with some meat , tho we hadveggie sausages )

Happy Saturday everyone !

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 12/06/2021 08:22

Enjoy the carb-free barbecue MercedesBenz!
I'm at the start of my third week today. I'm down eight pounds altogether which is brilliant. I'm going to do another two weeks and see where I'm at by the end of June.
I had harissa chickpeas during the week, similar to your spicy beans. They were very quick and tasty.
We got the red book yesterday. More delicious recipes!

LotsOfTrees · 12/06/2021 08:29

I’m relieved to be 0.75lbs down today despite yesterday veering off plan. Going out for the day today and haven’t planned food so need to get on it in order to avoid temptation.

I’m finding I have more energy too @MercedesBenz.
Fantastic loss already @IsFuzzyBeagMise!

I’m now racing to the end of June which is when my 12 weeks ends. I’d love to lose another 7lbs in June which may be a bit optimistic and especially juggling more social commitments and some work days away - but would be a huge boost if it is possible before then moving on to the next phase.

LotsOfTrees · 12/06/2021 08:33

My aim is to lose another 7lbs by 2 July.
