Checking in! Hows everyone getting on?

No breakfast this morning went for a walk and did a shop to stock up on veggies. Did have lots of water though

Lunch: Broccoli & turkey bacon with mushrooms & tomatoes (144 cals)
Plus had the cowboy baked beans (309) really only had a spoonful so not sure if I should count the whole 309.

Dinner is veggie chilli again think I'll have that on little gem lettuce cups (246) everything is left overs so just using it up, will set out a new menu for tomorrow leaves me with 100 cals so that'll go towards a cuppa or two if needed

Having another wobble. Realistically I have another half stone to lose as I still have a tyre round my belly. I'd like to lose another half on top of that. 21 days feels like forever! Can I make weight loss go any faster?

Just had a procrastinate watching Fast 800 Before & After You Tube videos. Oh that was very motivating.

Also decided that my goal is definitely losing another stone. I don't think I have ever been so focused on anything, ever. 10 weeks so far of exercising will power (bar two binge days), I've done that.

Going to do 16 more days which should see me hit on or near goal weight. Going to stick to the 800 calories which seems to work so well for me and do weigh ins every 3 days as I trust myself and the process now.

If I feel I am veering off or tempted will weigh more.

Just so chuffed!!!

Kitchen closed early this evening. 807 cals. I had the pesto lentils dish, first time trying that and jeez it was lovely. Really filing. Will be having that again.

Lunch: Roasted Pepper & Butternut squash soup (150 cals)
Followed by Strawberries blueberries & Greek yogurt (117)
Dinner: Pesto Lentils (496 cals)
Tea & dash of milk (22 cals)

Well done Misty Skies, 10 weeks that is fantastic will power and the results are showing. I just hope I can keep it up now I've started. Must watch some of those YouTube videos might be useful to keep on track esp when having chocolate cravings Confused

mistyskiesaregone I love being in the zone. So motivating!
These 4lbs are taking a while to come off! 1.5 pounds off from the weekend over eating.
I had got down to 11.7.5 last Thursday. Put on 4lb and have now lost two of those pounds.
Feeling more in the swing of things now and back to not feeling hungry.
I have a wedding in Saturday and so that will be off plan. I'll get back on it straight after.

Hey everyone - Ok I'm coming back! I kept trying & then falling at the first hurdle but now I literally can't fit into my summer clothes because I need to lose 2 stone (I've thankfully kept the other 2 off!). So I'm going to do 6 weeks and then re-evaluate. I'll be starting back up properly on Monday so going to give myself time to menu plan and grocery shop.

The things that I really, really am struggling with are:


  • I've started running 3 x a week for 40 - 60 mins, when I ran on Fast800 before I had to give up because I was too hungry. I'm thinking I'm going to have to do 1000 - 1200 cals on running days (1 protein bar + small amount of carbs) or I'll just faint

  • No booze - I KNOW I can't drink on Fast 800 or all healthy eating goes out the window. I don't have any big celebrations coming up but I do love a drink after a stressful day

  • Dating. I'm dating again (after years) and the thought of dating sober terrifies me, but also dating brings out insecurities and I tend to eat my feelings so I'm going to have to manage that (I've started therapy again so hopefully that will help)


I also know I'll feel so much better when I've lost the weight, I've had so many good things happen from when I originally lost 4 stone on Fast800, just last summer some awful things happened and my life got busy & stressful so I've turn to convenience food and booze to 'make things easy' but it's not really making things easier because I don't like the way my body feels and my head is so cloudy.

I know I need to check in daily & use mfp to make it work and I'm confident I can commit for 6 weeks and then see how I'm going.

I came on today. No period pain. Just two hours of feeling agitated then I developed a cracking migraine. Sometimes the headache can linger. I hope not.

Ideas for period snacks? So far had buckwheat rice cakes (40 cals each) with marmite and soft cheese.

I'm tempted to eat all my calories for breakfast tomorrow then eat salad and a plate of green beans for dinner.

That sounds a good exercise plan @PhoenixMama . Ideas for other ways to wind down - I love an epsom salt bath soak.

I'm also dating and don't drink. It's better in my opinion as I am clear headed. The best dates are the ones where I have just unleashed my positive energy, as it seems to have a ripple effect. I just try to buy drinks that look alcoholic ( soda and fresh lime etc.) 😂. I know what you mean, I get the dating butterflies and I hate them. Just stay strong, it is a habit you are breaking/forming.

By some miracle I have eaten healthy since Feb with only 2 slips. You've got this.

I think I have hit the plateau. To be fair I have been eating more veggies so probably retaining more water and I am on my period.

Not to be deterred! I am going to :

  • meal plan this weekend for the next 2 weeks
  • do 16:8 as well
  • do some walking every day

Yest 650 cals according to my tracker. Largely sedentary day as been clearing out the spare room.

Porridge and fruit and nuts
Purition shake
Prawn and halloumi and lentil salad

I think my goal weight may be out of reach for holiday. 1 stone in 3 weeks isn't happening. But half a stone would be amazing.

Morning! Ok Day 1 here and it's already a crazy busy day - my fear is the days that go from busy work days into busy activity days for dd and then we get home later, hungry and I give in and we order food or grab a frozen pizza. My plan is to make dinner at lunch time so I'm prepped.

Dinner will be the lentil stuffed peppers from one of the cookbooks - really tasty & a family favourite!

So weigh in this morning I'm at 200lbs exactly - so this means 2 things - 1 - I've kept off 25lbs of the initial weight I've lost and 2 - I haven't gained since January. @3kidsaremorethanenough I had similar to you last year - in July my whole life sort of blew up and I had a crazy 4 months where I gained 25lbs, then I just haven't really had the time/energy/focus/positive mental health to tackle it.

Last time round I lost 2 stone in 6 weeks, I don't think I'll do the whole 2 stone again in my 6 week focus this time (I'd love to) but I think it gets harder the less you have to lose AND I'm running this time round so that's going to be a bit of a learning curve with regards to needing extra calories.

I'll be weighing every day (keeps me motivated!) and checking in every day so looking forward to hearing how you all get on!

Sounds good @PhoenixMama ! Dinner sounds amazing!

I've not shifted anything today despite not reaching 800 calories yesterday. I think this has to do with two things - timing of eating. I delay breakfast and consequently don't eat dinner until quite late, but then I eat breakfast early the next day, so it's not really 16:8. I think I'm going to just eat breakfast first thing, then deal with being hungry in the evening!

Also, fibre. Definitely not getting enough. Plan for today is lots of veggies - I really like the sound of the stuffed peppers, I have some lentils and halloumi I need to use so I think I will do that too.

Plus log everything as usual - I know if I stop doing this I will waver!

I am not far off the goal, but this last bit seems to be slow.

10.9 is a another milestone for me, as that is the sort of weight I was at before my weight got out of hand, basic clothes stopped fitting and I fell into the leggings trap! At this stage, I think every 2 pounds lost is milestone, that's how I see it. 2 pounds also feels achievable. So my goal is to see 10.9 on the scales!

We can do this today! One day at a time!

@MistySkiesAreGone My experience from last time was if I ate under for more than 1 day then I stalled - might be worth just having a bit more protein or a teaspoon of peanut butter on those days?

@PhoenixMama I think you may be right. I ate 800 yesterday and I've lost today. I also think I had some water retention due to being on.

So I closed the kitchen yesterday at 824 which is great. As everything in my life right now the day didn't at all go to plan but because I'd stocked up on healthy bits i managed to do a fast, healthy meal where I would have gone for frozen pizza or convenience for so that was a win.

That said keto flu is in full force - I slept awfully, have a head ache & generally feel crap. I had it for 5 days last time so hoping it's not as bad this time.

Haven't weighed myself yet today I tend to get a more accurate result after a walk & I'm not in a good headspace so heading out now. Will update later.

Well done @PhoenixMama ! You can do this. Drink lots of water. Had a big wobble on 4 days then okay after more or less.

NSV here - my go to chunky jeans are falling down! Not sure if good or not as will need new jeans!

Ughh after all that the scale says I'm only down 0.4lb. (Well it originally said I was up 3 but I know that can't be right so stepped on it again in a different spot).

I'll keep going but usually that first day rush is so helpful for staying on track!

So hungry today as post period. Rather than eggs and avocado which is becoming boring I'm focusing more on carbs today.

Purition for breakfast

Lunch was lentils (20g), feta (50g), toms, cucumber, olive oil (1 teaspoon) and mixed herbs.

Dinner will be soba noodles, salmon and courgette. Soba noodles are lower carb than wholewheat spaghetti I discovered.

Your posts have inspired me to Fast800 again. Thought I was having a heart attack on a work site visit this week but it was my only remaining smart work trousers being crippling tight round my expanding apple waist. Can't afford a whole new wardrobe. 52 and tall but now the weights piling on. So tomorrow I will get back to 16:8 and Fast800. Tips for dealing with meals for husband and teenage son who don't need to lose weight gratefully received.

No loss todat but had 815 cals yest and 47g fat of 30g allowance so that is probably why.

I had 50g soba noodles which were 10g carb. Oh my gosh so filling. Not had so much carb for a while, I actually fell asleep after!

Aim today is to eat loads of fibre.

Small NSV which is I don't look as hideous in a bikini. I really hope I can look passable by another 2 weeks. 13 days to holiday!

I'm still here. Just faded out for a while! 😂
I thought I was the only one who was starving AFTER my period. Absolutely no hunger before or for the first few days but famished after.
I've recovered from my gain and I'm now at 11:6. Started at 12:3 one month ago
I've certainly not stuck to the 800 all of the time and had a whole weekend off. Most days I have about 900 Cal's now.
I had the wedding this weekend. Fitted into my dress and felt really good.
I'm back in the zone now and will try and keep regularly checking in here.
