Are you from Mayo?! Grin Mayo is lovely!
I'm from Cork City, living in Cork County Smile, though only a stone's throw away from Cork itself.

I'm just about a month doing this now and I feel really well, I'm happy to say.

BlueFishSwims · 25/06/2021 16:16

Cork is beautiful too and very fancy compared to Mayo. I am South England now. It’s good you feel well on the diet, hoping for the same.

Forced myself to try on last years wetsuit as we are off to Cornwall in a few days. Nearly threw up halfway. Impossible. Hate buying bigger sizes, got the cheapest size 18 one I could find online in black cos that’s slimming.

Haven’t eaten yet today but having seatrout and 4 veg for dinner.

tinselandlights · 25/06/2021 16:43

Welcome @BlueFishSwims! Your stats are similar to mine, BMI and weight wise (guessing you're shorter than some?!)

I have had an ANNOYING Grin realisation! I was craving some chocolate so made myself a healthy chocolate pudding: an avocado, two dates, some milk, a bit of vanilla and a tablespoon of cocoa powder.

Guess what... it actually DID stop my cravings and fill me up nicely! I hate it when healthy swaps actually work!!

Welcome to all the newbies.

I have been losing and gaing same pound all week , if ithe scales would slide down by another pound I would be half a stone off , so fingers crossed for this weekend

Happy Friday everyone ! X

yumyumpoppycat · 25/06/2021 18:34

tinsel 😆 that is annoying!

Welcome bluefish! Hope you feel the benefit soon - I used to be on here in newaveragebear days too.

Small world, my mum is from Mayo and I have cousins from cork! We went to cork to visit the cousins when I was really little - maybe 3, and my grandmother in Mayo teased me so much because I came back with a cork accent after about 2 days (I'm from London and my grandmother used to have a really hard time understanding my London accent!)

Had a pretty good day yesterday and again today, fingers crossed it shows on the scale - I know it's not really important but it's kind of reassuring seeing it go down.

Have a good weekend everyone

yumyumpoppycat · 25/06/2021 18:36

Fingers crossed the scales play ball Mercedes - up and down is so annoying but hopefully then a few pounds might come off more quickly - seems to go like that sometimes.

LotsOfTrees · 25/06/2021 19:02

Welcome @BlueFishSwims!
Hoping you see a loss tomorrow @MercedesBenz. I’ve had a similar week after my whoosh last week so I’m hoping the same for me!
Good to know about the healthy swaps @Tinselandlights

vestastilly · 25/06/2021 19:51

Ugh so hard tonight! Crap busy week at work and DH and kids have a takeaway and chocolate! Made lemon chicken from the book for me but wasn’t impressed it was a bit lacking in taste. Stayed motivated as it’s my weigh in in the morning For week 3.
On holiday for a week at the end of the month camping so trying to work out how to eat on plan for a week!

yumyumpoppycat · 26/06/2021 09:10

Wow well done vestastilly getting through hard week at work followed by family eating takeaway. Good luck with week 3.

Fingers crossed for whoosh lotsoftreees

I had a meh weighin but moved the scale and dropped 2lbs which obviously is the correct figure to log Grin

MercedesBenz · 26/06/2021 09:46

Whoo hoo
Lost another 2 which means I have lost 8 altogether . It’s not a lot over 3 weeks , especially after the up and down malarkey of last week , but it going down so that’s the right direction

Do feel like I’m getting into it , I know I need to be stricter on early eve treats , and that will be my next focus

So far doing 16:8 and a tiny. 300 cal lunch , no daytime snacking has started to become the normal to me and was enough to be getting used to .

Naughty naughty
@yumyumpoppycat
😂 my bathroom floor is shaped in squares and I have to put the scales in the exact same spot lol
But it’s very tempting

Have a great Sat everyone x x

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 26/06/2021 11:13

Well done, MercedesBenz! It's great to hear it's going in the right direction. That's very encouraging! Have a good weekend!

LotsOfTrees · 26/06/2021 12:34

Fantastic @yumyumpoppycat and @MercedesBenz! That’s a big boost for you both as we enjoy the weekend. I’ve only lost 0.25lbs so far this week so am hoping scales will drop by Monday. Hope you find the 2lb loss stays with you @yumyumpoppycat!
We’re also about to go on holiday @vestastilly so have been trying to do some good planning too. It’s just as my 12 weeks ends so I need to keep telling myself the end of the 12 weeks marks just another stage and not going back to how I ate before.

vestastilly · 26/06/2021 13:02

Thanks everyone, cheered myself up today with the falafel salad (red book) which was delicious! Apologised to everyone for being a grump here last night at home and taken DS on a shopping trip.

BlueFishSwims · 26/06/2021 17:50

Thanks for all the welcomes and hi to all my cousins Grin. Well done MercedesBenz I would be chuffed with 8 lbs in 3 weeks, and yumyumpoppycat. Day 2 for me and no loss yet (I am a daily weigher). Lunch was salad in a box at an outdoor school event, it seemed pretty healthy to me. Dinner is seatrout leftovers and salad. I am about to have a glass of something which is bad I know and not sticking to the Fast800 but it’s a beautiful evening. One teen crashed out with a sports injury that may take weeks to heal and one has a medal, typical day as a parent I guess.

tinselandlights · 26/06/2021 21:34

I've realised I'm heading into my last five data on the first 12 weeks of the plan!

I feel good actually, definitely healthier and I can feel a change in my body.

hello! can i join this thread? ive been umming and ahhing for ages about starting the fast 800, but enough is enough and tomorrow is the day! can i just ask though, what is the difference between the blood sugar diet and fast 800?

MercedesBenz · 27/06/2021 17:18

@cmj7397
Welcome
I think that the fast 800 is a fast entry into blood sugar diet principles
It is intended as a fast strict er start , but someone more experienced may be able to tell you more.
Drink lots of water , it mar take u a few days to get into it , but I have had lots of help from reading other posters , and support

cmj7397 · 27/06/2021 17:23

thank you!

i have ordered both books so have lots to read up on!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 27/06/2021 18:45

Welcome, cmj7397. Wishing you luck!
The recipes in the books are lovely and I'm enjoying everything I've made so far.
I would say that a few times I've put in the liquid stated in the recipes and it has been too much, so I would advise you to add it gradually and not to throw it all in at once as I did.
I read the blood sugar diet book before and it seems similar to me.
DH and I are a month in and it has worked very well for us so far.

H1Drangea · 27/06/2021 21:34

Hello , jumps onto thread
We’re starting tomorrow
I have the 8 week blood sugar recipe book , have done a bit of Googling and have the next 5 days planned out
( we’ve also bought the fast asleep book as both us have crap sleep patterns , hoping for some good results )
DH will probably add potatoes to his plan ( or he’ll starve to death )
Finishing the wine tonight ( I’ll miss you, my friend )
Have lots of thread reading to do and am inspired by the results ❤️
Will weigh in tomorrow and add the grim details

MercedesBenz · 27/06/2021 21:39

@H1Drangea
Welcome
You sound very organised , planning for the next 5 days ! That always helps when you have the I’m starving moments and then eat rubbish ( sure that can’t only be me )
Good luck to you and your husband
Tell us the ‘grim details ‘ 😂

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 27/06/2021 21:45

Good luck H1Drangea! I hope it goes well for you! 'The grim details' Grin

tinselandlights · 27/06/2021 22:58

Welcome @cmj7397 and @H1Drangea!

Jump in and get involved, the books are great and the recipes are delicious!

I was staying with my parents this weekend as my DM hadn't been well, so I was a bit limited choice-wise.

She's a veggie so everything is very carby but I did my best! Also did 20 mins yoga in the living room this morning while my dad read the news next to me as I was trying to do downward facing dog.

Big welcome to @cmj7397 and @H1Drangea!

Weigh in today - 1.75lbs lost in week 11. Now on to week 12!! It’ll be shorter week before weighing in because we’re off on holiday at the end of the week. It’ll also be a harder week because it’s just so busy with a couple of meals with friends to navigate too.

H1Drangea · 28/06/2021 14:42

Thanks for the welcome
Got off to a bad start by waking up still feeling tired , never a good start to the day !
