After gaining 1 lb yesterday 😐, I have lost that and another 1lb today 👍
No rhyme or reason , but I’m still on it , and the number is going in the right direction … down

Hello all, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm starting my fourth week. I'm steadily moving down one pound per week and I'm nearly at the top of my healthy weight for my BMI.
DH has lost twelve pounds and has come out of the obese range into the overweight range.

I'm still enjoying the recipes from the books. The spicy bean burgers were delicious, a hit with everyone. I broke out and made a brown sourdough loaf yesterday and dh and I had a slice of it with a topping for lunch. It was a treat!

DaisyWaldron · 20/06/2021 13:07

Those meals sound lovely, and congrats to @IsFuzzyBeagMise and @MercedesBenz on your losses.

I'm half way through week 3 and as predicted the weight loss has slowed down, but it's still happening, so I'm happy. I was hoping to be overweight rather than obese by the end of the week, but I think it might take a little bit longer than that, but not by very much.

vestastilly · 20/06/2021 14:25

Keep going everyone - I’m gritting be teeth today as DH guzzles his body weight in Father’s Day chocolate and beer. Another point off my Bmi this week which I’m super proud of and had some lovely tuna and horseradish cups from the book for lunch which were lush. Everyone else is having steak for tea but I’m having my favourite eggs and spinach on rye which I will enjoy.

Thank you, Daisy! My DH is just at that point now, at the top of the overweight category. His weight loss has slowed down too, starting week four, but as he says so long as it's a downward trend, it's good!

I’ve had a bit of a whoosh this week ... 4.25lbs lost in week 10! 40.75lbs lost overall!

MercedesBenz · 21/06/2021 07:18

@LotsOfTrees
Well done ! That is a great whoosh 👍

Movealongmovealong · 21/06/2021 08:37

A better week for me. The scales have finally moved. Started at 208, 1st week 201.second week no change , today 197. So 4lb change this week and 11lb over 3 weeks.

The best part is that I don't feel like I am on a diet and when I was disappointed not to lose last week - because I don't feel deprived, I didn't throw my toys around and make myself a stack of toast and jam. (My favourite) instead I just carried on because the food is lovely and sufficient anyway ...

LotsOfTrees · 21/06/2021 08:40

Great news @Movealongmovealong - well done for sticking with it through the week of no movement on the scales!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 21/06/2021 09:07

Great news on the double whoosh!!

Tinselandlights · 21/06/2021 10:53

Good news on the whooshes @Movealongmovealong and @LotsOfTrees!

I veered off track on Friday - I actually think it was because I made the beetroot brownies and the flour made me crave carbs. The afternoon was awful and I caved.

Then on Saturday I hadn't planned ahead enough and ended up having a wrap and a brioche bun.

Then yesterday was my DN's birthday and I am determined still to enjoy cake on birthdays, particularly as I had baked it for him! However, back on it this morning with the yoghurt and frozen fruit from the red book. My DH tells me this morning he can see my shape is changing, which was very encouraging! I'm within a hairs' breadth of a normal BMI now (10 stone 4ish).

I weighed in this morning - STS but have lost an inch from my hips! Happy enough with that as my period is right around the corner.

DaisyWaldron · 23/06/2021 05:52

Urgh. I had horrible period pains yesterday, and ate far too much crap, but am back on plan today.

LotsOfTrees · 23/06/2021 08:01

Good job @Tinselandlights! You inspired me to measure and I’ve lost half an inch from both my hips and my waist!
Sorry @DaisyWaldron. Well done for getting back to it.

yumyumpoppycat · 23/06/2021 08:05

Well done on nsv and getting back on it tinsel!

Well done also Move - I so need to adopt your positive attitude!

Just reporting in for some accountability (well really a moan) my weight just isn't coming down! I have stayed strong in the face of DHs watching the footie snacks and gin and tonic etc but no loss as a result! I know there is room for me to be more strict - I just don't seem able to do it. I am having too many milky drinks and not enough veg. I often see people in weight loss chat saying they are having 1000 cals a day and not losing weight and I seem to be that person now 😩 anyway fingers crossed I can get more in the zone now I have put it out there Wink

LotsOfTrees · 23/06/2021 19:10

Sausage courgette lasagna tonight - possibly our favourite of all the dishes but I always need to be careful not to eat too big a portion.

LotsOfTrees · 23/06/2021 19:12

Hope you’ve had a better day @yumyumpoppycat

MercedesBenz · 23/06/2021 19:25

@LotsOfTrees
Can u tell me how to make the saysage lasagne or where the recipe is please

Just I have lots of frozen sausages to be used up x

LotsOfTrees · 23/06/2021 19:33

Oh you have to try it @MercedesBenz! It’s in the blue book (p166). Sausages (6) and onion fried, add garlic, oregano and chopped tomatoes, add a layer of sliced courgette then wilted spinach with creme fraiche and Parmesan on top. Serves 6 but I juggle my calories on the day we have it and usually have about 1.5 of a serving.

The one thing to avoid is it all getting too watery which the recipe warns you about. I didn’t squeeze the spinach enough today and the courgettes were perhaps too thick.

MercedesBenz · 23/06/2021 22:31

@LotsOfTrees
Thank you , I found it , will make this on Friday

yumyumpoppycat · 24/06/2021 08:58

Thanks lotsof the scales shifted down a little - I think you really have to measure and monitor with this diet to get results - clearly I am being too half arsed 😅

tinselandlights · 24/06/2021 22:14

Thank you @LotsOfTrees!

We had the roasted salmon and cherry tomatoes from the red book tonight, it was absolutely delicious!

And a beetroot brownie for pudding. I have frozen them and have been having one after dinner.

Hello, I would like to join please. I am early 50s but not ready to give in to stretchy waistbands forever just yet. I did Fast800 a few years ago and loved the food. It was back when NewAverageBear ran a thread.

I had a haircut yesterday, first time since first lockdown. Felt so great I bought some vitamins and have dusted my copy of the Fast 800.

SW 11stone
GW 9 stone
BMI is 26
Waist is 37”

I am small boned and the weight is all around my middle. I feel ill generally and my energy levels are very low. I am retired, kids are teenagers and I can afford good food so I have no excuses.
