Morning everyone. It’s our last day of holidays today and I’m feeling pretty good. We’ve drunk a lot but to be honest, my food has been really good. I’ve run 5 times as well, and walked loads. I might allow myself an ice cream or dessert today if I really fancy one, but I don’t feel like I’m powerless. I’m quite keen to get home and hop on the scales because for the first time ever I think I might get back from a holiday having not gained half a stone!

You have been really focused bear, well done. And it doesn't sound like it got in the way of enjoying your holiday.

I am hoping for a whoosh next week, which will be my 4th week of doing it on weekdays. I haven't really lost anything this week since my bank holiday alcohol consumption froze things so I am still sitting at 6lbs down (and 3lbs off my main target that I have been aiming for for years). Looking forward to relaxing it a little over the weekend but won't be going daft.

DandelionAndBedrock · 01/06/2018 16:58

Sort of no-scale victory - officially in jeans that are a 30inch waist (had 32s before). Tight on the thighs - of course - but I got them on over my tights and they still did up. Tangible progress!

chrispenrallt1 · 01/06/2018 19:50

Hi shrinking woman, well just think it’s 7 lb less than you weighed two weeks ago so that is a resultI’ve tried to follow as best I can but a mixture of being away from the house unexpectedly and pressure at work made it quite difficult. My weigh in is Monday so I’m looking forward to see what the scales say. Out for dinner tomorrow nite, I’m nominating myself the driver so no drink, also I won’t have a pudding my friend can share with my sil. Both skinny by the way. Think it will be salad and chicken for me!
Cauliflower rice is surprisingly nice!

ChocEggNoThanks · 02/06/2018 09:46

Another three quarters of a lb off this morning. Is it a whoosh or just my light TOTM? 🤔 I've had 2 low cal days around 900 plus had a bowl of porridge the other night so maybe that helped. Supposed to be out for brunch this morning though which as a veggie means lots of bread stuff. Might just have a coffee and eat later.

TheAmazingShrinkingWoman · 02/06/2018 10:56

Thank you so much Chris!!! I read your comment last night just as I was about to say fuck it and eat chocolate. And am back to 9lb off today. I love this thread.

ChocEggNoThanks · 02/06/2018 12:38

Well done Shrink 😊 Not thinking fuck it is half the battle. Sometimes we win sometimes we lose but we're still here 😊

diamantegal · 02/06/2018 12:45

Can I re-join you please? Did BSD a couple of years ago, so I know it works, but sadly I've put most of it back on. Life got hectic and too many takeaways and wine in the evenings is starting to show!

So starting weight is bang on 11 stone. Lunch is all sorted - lots of naice nibbles from M&S made into a salad - to be honest I could have had just the one egg but I'd worked the calories backwards from the Hairy Dieters Spanish chicken we're having for tea.

Bring on the weight loss!

There you go amazing shrinking woman, a 9 lb loss in two weeks is not to be sniffed at! That’s what I love about this forum, encouragement, tips and laughter. Yes I’m sure I will be saying sod it further down the line but I know there will be someone here who will make me think twice or at least help me back on the wagon
Down we go !

thenewaveragebear1983 · 02/06/2018 14:04

We’re home! I’m really looking forward to a few healthy weeks now. DD’s birthday tomorrow so there may be a small piece of cake, but then from Monday it’s back on it!

It’s a very conveniently timed 8 weeks until our summer holidays, plus nearly time for a new thread as well. Perfect opportunity for a really focussed stint. Before holiday I was 10.12, I fully expect to be 11.1 when I weigh in tomorrow morning- I’d love to be 10.0 (actually 9.13 3/4!!) by then. Is it possible? Yeah!! Who’s with me???!!

Gah! Went for dinner at a friend's last night, and had pasta, cheese and crackers and a ton of wine.

I'm hungover and couldn't be bothered with thinking of anything for lunch, so ended up eating an egg sandwich.

I dread to think what that's going to look like on the scales, but I shall not be doing that again.

Clean-living all the way from now on. Grin

ChocEggNoThanks · 02/06/2018 19:51

Today has gone to the dogs 🙈

chrispenrallt1 · 03/06/2018 06:46

Well it’s another day today chocegg so try again. I went for dinner last night, had no chips no pudding no wine. I’m hoping for a result tomorrow. The other ladies kept saying oh why not have a pudding. It’s ok for them skinny Minnie’s . I could have wrestled my sil to the ground for the pudding she was eating,
However one good thing did arise from last night, I had a flavoured water as I was nominated driver which was my own choice. Do you know that water was so sweet I could not drink it. So it just shows that your taste s do change.
Downwards we go

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/06/2018 07:50

Well, I don’t quite believe this but I have returned from holiday 2lbs lighter than when I left! Unheard of! Current weight is 10.10- still a very slight gain from my lowest weight and a definite overall plateau for the last few months. My losses have been slooooow to say the least- but I am sussing out maintenance. I think for the first time I have a manageable strategy for maintaining which is very helpful.

But now I need to lose those last 10lbs!

Along with my food this week, I’m also going to introduce two things from the guts book. Live yoghurt instead of Greek (found one in asda which is ok and is less calories for full fat than Greek yogurt so that’s a bonus) and also introducing some apple cider vinegar. I’m also trying to summon the strength from somewhere to cut out sweetener in my coffee but I can’t quite bring myself to do it.

I’ve set up the new thread by the way as we were sailing a bit close to the wind!

Ok-ish day yesterday - followed the plan for Saturday of week one strictly until about 6.30pm. Had 3 glasses of rose, some olives and salted cashews Shock. However no fries with my steak, just loads of salad and no pudding.... unless you count the Roquefort DH bought. So some good bits, some not so Grin Aargh, back on it today.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/06/2018 09:07

Thought I’d share this instead of a meme- I’ve been in two minds whether to or not as I think my ‘after’ photo is still not ideal and my skin is ruined by pregnancies and being overweight. But if anyone was in any doubt that this diet works, this is my photo from 1st January (those jeans are a 12 and clearly don’t fit!) to May 25th (those shorts are a 10 and are too big!)

Think I might have been a bit optimistic about starting this week , have been more mindful about what I have been eating and haven't actually put any weight on , even after a couple of days away and a take away and wine last night. Starting properly tomorrow.

ChocEggNoThanks · 03/06/2018 09:32

Bear thank you for sharing those. They are so encouraging. You have done really well ❤

Your skin looks great but I know what we're all like, so hard on ourselves. It's why I'm having to think carefully about how much to lose. If I lose 4 stone I am fairly certain I will have an actual overhang of skin so I'm aiming to lose 2.5-3. I'll still be bigger than many people would aspire to be but I'll be crepey rather than having all over bingo wings!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/06/2018 09:46

Thanks choc! I’m hoping that over time the skin will improve, it’s definitely crepey!
