Anyone doing it and can give tips please? I know it's where you only eat in an 8 hour window but wondered if there's anything else I should know?

Thanks Original and i did ask about how much everyone on here eats(2 or 3 meals?)
Your BMI is: 22.3
Your BMR is: 5225 kJ / 1249 calories
Your TDEE is: 7184 kJ / 1717 calories
Just calculated the above on a lightly active setting. I reckon I am eating
no more than 1200 at the most during the week, more at wknd due to wine! I do take a well woman capsule and a Vit D3 supplement too.

iknowimcoming · 12/06/2017 09:50

Finally saw a new weight this morning after hovering around the same 3 pounds for ages! AND I've lost an inch and a half from my waist! Needed that boost for a Monday - how's everyone else doing?

ElspethFlashman · 12/06/2017 10:02

I'm in a "starving all the time" phase. I'm sticking to my 8 hrs but tbh my diet is shit at the moment so I haven't had the courage to weigh myself in a while. My problem is that because I'm 9.30-5.30 I end up eating breakfast lunch and dinner.....whereas I think the people who have the most success only eat two meals.

shamoffour · 12/06/2017 16:11

I've had a bit of a wobbly weekend, I'm back on it now though. I've not really been that hungry today (probably because I've eaten everything this weekendBlush) I've had a banana, some Greek yogurt, strawberries and flaked almonds. I've made a chicken and spinach madras for dinner which I will have with a small portion of brown rice.

Giddyaunt18 · 12/06/2017 16:42

Elspeth I find it easier to reach the 500 calorie daily deficit required to lose 1lb a week by eating 2 meals. But I guess so long as you are reducing calories by that amount every day you will still lose. I just try to make sure I choose filling foods that will get me through to the next meal time like an omelette or chicken with salad or beans on toast.

littlemissM92 · 12/06/2017 19:27

I have lost 4lb so far but in the 8hour eating window I probs haven't been that well behaved ! Anyhow go on hol tomorrow for 2 weeks so not using the diet word or even thinking about it but will jump straight back on it when I'm home x

Giddyaunt18 · 13/06/2017 07:56

Had to share, saw 9st 7 on the scales this morning! Grin Grin Grin

iknowimcoming · 13/06/2017 08:23

Ooh well done giddyaunt! I'm down another half a pound this morning AND I started the couch to 5k with dd last night and didn't collapse! Onwards and downwards ladies Grin

theresamustgo · 13/06/2017 12:46

DS's birthday today so I had to join in breakfast - and then last week I was in a hotel for 2 nights and had to - just had to - have the free brekkie. But I realise I really don't like it that much - don't know why I never just avoided breakfast before this - guess Ibought the idea that it was the most important meal of the day blah blah. . This has been the true revelation. More hotels next week for work. Wish I could just rise above freebies!!
Still not weighed myself - I really want there top be a discernible difference. It has been about a month now. Don't think I feel that different weightwise, but I do feel livelier.....

Giddyaunt18 · 13/06/2017 13:09

theres Why not just go to breakfast in the hotel, get some free continental to eat later? You'll have too start carrying zip lock sandwich bags Grin or just take the fresh fruit!

theresamustgo · 13/06/2017 14:07

believe me - I have thought about that. Always feel so self-conscious when I do i! Mind you, scrambled egg and beans in a bag is not so pretty, even if locktite.

ELR · 13/06/2017 17:55

Hi all not posted yet but have been lurking started 16:8 last Monday so this is 9th finding so easy!! I got weighed after 6 days and had lost 2.5lbs! I was doing 5:2 for 4 weeks before this and had gained about 2lbs!! Have had previous success with 5:2 losing 15lb so thought it would be easy again but it wasn't. This 16:8 is amazing!! I'm doing 10-6pm so eating all three ears but no snacking and sometimes just eating two meals as so full! I'll try weighed again later this week and hoping for a further loss.

ELR · 13/06/2017 17:56

Meals not ears!!

macnab · 13/06/2017 22:54

Well done on the weight loss giddy
I'm still at it, although like others I'm pretty sure what I am eating during the 8 hour window could be a lot better. I don't have scales at home so am going on clothes and my belly in general which had gotten really flabby and bloated. It's definitely flatter. And my trousers are a bit more comfortable too, still tight though! I'm going to stick with it because I am finding it easy and even if I'm just losing a pound or so a week it's going in the right direction.
I eat between 2pm and 8pm mostly, so only 2 meals. I do think that makes a difference as opposed to having 3 meals and stopping at 5 or 6pm and I don't find it hard so for those who find they're not losing at all I would recommend dropping a meal, breakfast probably easiest. My hunger overall has definitely reduced so that's a good thing!

Giddyaunt18 · 14/06/2017 08:09

Another pound off this morning! I am surprised. So 9st 6 and my initial target was 9st 7. Carrying on to get to 9st 4 then not sure as I am used to not having breakfast now and feel completely satisfied with my meals. I was 10 st 2 on 20th April I think. Only been skipping breakfast for 2/3 weeks so it's mainly been no eating between healthy meals and only alcohol on Sat/Sun. I thought it would be harder. Hang in there people!

iknowimcoming · 14/06/2017 09:25

11.13.8 this morning - I know it's only a whisker under 12 stone but I'm taking it!!!!!!

Eebahgumlass · 14/06/2017 09:28

Hi Can I join? Hit my highest weight for about 8 years at the weekend. 10 st 7 at 5 ft 4. I feel bloated and unhealthy . Work stress has seen me drop exercise and embrace crap food and too much wine. Started this on Monday and have already dropped water weight - now down to 10 st 4 which was where I had been settling since after Chistmas. I really would like to get down to 9 st 7 or less if possible. I am doing a window of 1 till 9 and trying to lay off alcohol apart from weekends. Inspired by the successes I see people having on this way of eating.

Fortysix · 14/06/2017 12:00

Four week weigh in this morn. My exercise has increased from one hour extra per day over normal when I started to two hours extra per day over normal so my approach is more full on than others posting. [ Increased the exercise just over a week ago to 24 k steps a day as I wanted to maintain steady weight loss as holiday approaches.]
Good news though. Started 11 st 4 lbs and now at 10 st 0 lbs. Am delighted but definitely putting big, big effort into adding the daily exercise. The actual ‘eating less’ part is going better than I thought but it is tough to break the habit of reaching for snacks.
Huge plus is that I suffer from menstrual migraine and had over 20+ years of headaches of at least six days headaches per month. No headache pills for six weeks which is truly brilliant as I was definitely over medicating and have been trying to cut back for a long time.
Iknow the milestone amounts are the worst so well done you. I am about to do battle with one of mine.

shamoffour · 14/06/2017 13:15

Welcome to the newbies and forty wow! Well done that's a fantastic achievement!!
I lost 2.5lbs this week which I'm pleased with especially as it was a bit half hearted a few days this week. Too much sugar!!

shamoffour · 14/06/2017 13:16

Iknow that's fab, I currently weigh 12.1 and I can't wait to say goodbye to this stoneGrin

Fortysix · 14/06/2017 14:14

@shamoffour Your half hearted 2.5 lbs sounds far more sensible and fun than my all guns blazing 4 lbs.

@Eebah Mine is working out at 1-9 pm as well although has moved around a bit after I removed breakfast

My DP pointed out that the dog has been doing 16:8 all his life Grin

Giddyaunt18 · 14/06/2017 14:18

forty but is he skinny? Grin

Fortysix · 14/06/2017 14:27

@Giddy Yep he's 17 kg and gets a haircut on Monday so will soon look like a puppy again (9.5 year old black cocker spaniel)

Eebahgumlass · 14/06/2017 22:20

Wow forty that's a brilliant achievement. I'm impressed and inspired to stick with this. Quite pleased with myself that I have resisted wine again tonight. That is always my downfall.

iknowimcoming · 15/06/2017 10:29

11.13.2 today (I know that it's really sad that I'm so pleased about a .6 of a pound loss but it proves to me that yesterday wasn't a fluke and I'm really under 12 stone now)Grin. Ate really well yesterday too - sausages egg mushrooms and tomatoes for lunch with chicken stuffed with mozzarella and wrapped in Parma ham with salad followed by strawberries and blueberries with a BIG dollop or extra thick cream for my tea. Diet - schmiet Wink

Forgot to say yesterday as well that I'm feeling so much better in myself this week (probably the weight loss getting going again is helpful tbh) much less tired, more my old self iykwim?
