Ok, I know we technically haven't finished 2022 yet as there is still the Christmas Concert for some (my ds is not taking part due to his conservatoire concert) but NYMT have released details of their 2023 season & auditions here

Ds has been offered AMD on the show he was hoping for.

We now have to work out how he’s getting from Leeds where he is MDing & playing for a student workshop production on 31st March (thankfully daytime) to Sevenoaks for 1st April on a train strike day

I hope you and other musicians hear soon. I suspected creatives might hear first because of needing to plan for the Easter residentials

On instagram is a post from a young lady who has auditioned for the last 7 years and this year she has got a role in Merrily. You can't fault her perseverance

great news- lots of armchairs about!! We might have to take a trip to Leicester if dc’s other things allow over the summer!!

Armchair musician here too! We had quite limited availability this year so lucky to have got this, although was hoping for Merrily. But all good. Obvs have no idea what the music is like.

@filchards Armchair was workshopped last year and by all accounts the music is beautiful. The composer has worked with NYMT for a long time and there's a lovely buzz about the show. Although tbh I think it's a fantastic season this year and all the shows will be incredible to work in.

@filchards, DC was in the Armchair workshop last summer and I can vouch for the music being great! Still singing some of the songs even now
