Ok, I know we technically haven't finished 2022 yet as there is still the Christmas Concert for some (my ds is not taking part due to his conservatoire concert) but NYMT have released details of their 2023 season & auditions here

@Mcmumager definitely do that. I have needed to request a particular session time due to commitments and travel arrangements and got a response straight back saying it was fine…

We have requested auditions on Saturday but not sure what the others have asked for. They are all a year older and going through lots of auditions for degree courses so he wouldn’t want to ask anyone to change plans for him. What will be will be 😊. Fingers crossed we find out today.

@Coniger Just to say Break a Leg to your DS this weekend. I hope he enjoys the audition and he gets good news too!

Hello does anyone know when we might get news of recall times and materials for NYMT?

Think it’ll be next week. Don’t know when exactly but they will need to finish and send out results for todays auditions in London and Belfast.

Ds just got home - the results from today are supposed to be out tomorrow or at the latest by Monday so not long I don’t think until recall material is released

@Biscuitsneeded @Montimom - I think so! He told me by text at lunchtime that the dancing was good! The rest of the day never got reported on as he came home by himself so by the time he got to the train station he no longer wanted to talk about it. teenage boys!

@Coniger it is great to get any bit of information from a teenager unless you catch them immediately after they finish. Good to hear he enjoyed the dancing!

Hi Results are out - it was a no for my DS who literally shrugged his shoulders - so now looking forward to the recall with DD

@Coniger sorry to hear that. It’s tough with siblings. He’s also at a difficult age- as too old for younger parts but too young for grown up parts. I’d definitely recommend auditioning for BYMT if he still wants to do a show.

@Coniger Sorry it wasn't good news for your DS. I think it's maybe harder for those who audition on the final weekend. The recall slots are probably almost full, so even if you're really good, if you're not an obvious fit anywhere you may be unlucky. He should definitely try again another year.

For those recalled, let's hope news comes soon of dates and times!

Just heard of someone who has been given a saturday morning recall slot and they have received their recall materials, so I expect they are going in timeslot order, but hopefully everyone will now hear this evening.

We’ve had it too. 1pm for ocean and 4pm for KMK.

Do we assume we don’t need to learn any of the concert materials even if you are being considered for those too?

@Mcmumager last year there was no separate material for the showcase. Does it sound as if there is, this year? DS hasn't had an email yet, and he's out so I can't look at the wording I'm afraid. Normally they would prepare for their named show recall and would be auditioned for the showcase through that.

And us. At the moment there's only the information sheet (no sides or music) in the Dropbox folder for Armchair - is that what others have too? We've got the sheet music in the KMK folder.
And yes, I'm guessing if they're recalled for a show they'll have enough to go on for the concert. I'm hoping so, otherwise it's a lot to learn in a week - mine is still at school this week!

I wonder if the difference is this year that they’ve recalled people specifically for the concert and the stuff in that folder is for them to prepare if they aren’t also recalled for a show.

I have heard of people recalled specifically for concert. So yes, if there's separate material maybe it's for them?If it's not clear from the wording of the letter, maybe check, but I imagine it's enough to prepare the materials for the 2 shows.

Within the Armchair intro letter there is a link to another dropbox with script and music. Does that help?
