Not on yesterday's performance!

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 08:27

Sooo, the line-up for the weekend ...

Today
3pm - France v Scotland (Stade de France) Rugby Times predicts France to win by 14.
5.30 - Wales v England (Millennium Stadium) RT predicts Wales by 24

Tomorrow
2.30 - Italy v Ireland (Stadio Flaminio) RT predicts Ireland by 20.

Here's to a good weekend of rugby

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 15:08

not looking too bad so far!!!

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 15:09

shouldn't have typed that should I there will be a sodding try for France in the next 5 minutes now!

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 16:42

oh dear, my kitchen is getting a bit too full of wooden spoons

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 17:31

Not a disasterour performance from Scotland tho Dizzy... too many handling errors perhaps but the first-half possession/territory were pretty impressive!

Just hope I can be as positive about England in about 90 mins ...

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 18:00

we always seem to need the first few games to warm up and only get into out stride when its too late!

calcutta cup is our last match though

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 18:46

the England v Wales match is fantastic, am on the edge of my seat!

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 18:58

You should try being English or Welsh

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:00

my best mate lives in wales with her welsh DH so the texts are being fired left right and centre - she makes me promise to support Wales when not supporting scotland or ireland

I can hardly watch!!!

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 19:13

Well ... oddly, despite it being a loss, it was a much better performance than last week!

I am livid that the ref didn't bin someone from the Welsh team! He penalised Martin Williams 3 times for the same offence but never even warned them that someone might go

Anyway. I'm happier with the future of English rugby, despite the loss

Oh, and well done Joe Worsley

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:17

was a fantastic match

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 19:20

BTW - don't know if you follow the Sevens serise ... England 22 Scotland 12

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 19:21

And it was a fantastic match - tho I think possibly better for the neutrals

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:22

lol

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 19:27

Oh, and Wales got beat 35-14 by Fiji

Oh, how I love Sevens

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:28
Grin
dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:28

first welsh team in 20yrs to get three wins in a row over England - now thats not bad going

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 19:31

Oh yes, you've got to hand it to them.
They've won their last 8 6 nations matches... Don't have to like it tho

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:34

I think its wonderful Wales are back to being a true rugby playing nation again, they were SOOO good such a long time ago and they seemed to loose their way but not anymore

know what you mean about not having to like it though to be admired it not liked!!

TigersEnglandChick · 14/02/2009 19:43

Don't ... you'll get me on my soap box about how wonderful rugby is compared with football other sports

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:44

football doesn't even exist in this house, except when the world cup is on

mileniwmffalcon · 14/02/2009 19:44

phew! by the skin of our teeth

mileniwmffalcon · 14/02/2009 19:45

i have a lovely little vid of my girls (5 & 20mo) waving homemade flags shouting "wales! wales!" that will go down well with the inlaws

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 19:47

well done falcon, well done - was on the edge of my chair for you for a while there, you lot know how to play it tight don't you!?!
