Thanks @YogaFlow much appreciated. I could do as an add on but I really need to do some strength work as well to support my cranky back.

Day 80, CF Beginners Day 8, 20 minutes full body morning yoga, but I did it at 9pm. I almost looked for a 10 minute practice, but I decided to go with it and would stop early if I needed to. I completed it all as the time went so quickly. I love the way CF is explaining things in this programme, I feel like I'm actively taking part and using my muscles rather than passively holding a poses.

I've had many unsuccessful attempts at yoga 😐

Years ago I did Body Balance which I loved, unfortunately the gym closed down after covid.

I then tried a new yoga class but the instructor was a nutter and was into that 'laughing yoga' 🤨 I didn't go back.

I then found a sunset yoga class on the beach, it turned out to be proper hippy yoga and everyone just sat holding hands and chanting 🙄

Last year I found a new yoga studio close to me, I was so excited and optimistic about it. I signed up for a month of what was supposed to be Hatha yoga but turned out to be Yin yoga. The teacher not only was an anti vaxxer but also shared articles about how yoga and higher beliefs cured cancer. At that point and as a breast cancer survivor I walked out.

I don't want any hippy bollox happy clappy chanty shit, I just want a power yoga type class where I get a workout and my legs shake 😅

CF 20 mins yoga to supercharge your day. It certainly did after a night of 2 enormous moths having a bedroom boogie until I took myself off to the living room to try & sleep. Not a wasted moment in this practice from the weekly playlist. Day 25!

@YogaFlow Day 80! Wow! Well done forgoing for the longer practice knowing you can stop, I did the same this morning but time flies with Charlie!
@IdenticalHandTwin finding a class/teacher that hits your vibe is so important for a regular practice.sarah Beth currently has a Strong series on YouTube, Charlie Follows also has a 7 day Strong series. I believe @Jumbojem has done CF one so might be able to give you a better idea Of what it involves. Personally I’m getting huge benefits from practicing with CF, physically & mentally so she would be my recommendation on YouTube. In person you potentially would be better with a gym yoga class which would be geared more towards the physical exercise rather than the spiritual side of yoga. It depends what’s available and convenient for you 🌻

Oh @Yogachick, nobody needs that sort of disruption during the night. You’re right, time flies with Charlie!

@IdenticalHandTwin you’ve really experienced some alternative yogis. I hope you find a good place to practice. I’m only a beginner, but I agree, Charlie Fellows is great.

Day 81 CF Beginners Day 9, 20 minutes full body relaxation- a lovely stretch practice and I think the first time doing puppy pose with a leg out to the side. I found it challenging and I couldn’t put my forehead to the floor.

Yogachick · 22/06/2026 10:59

Day 26. CF Beginners & Improvers Day 1,wk 3 of doing these and I can feel a definite improvement . A brisk little 15 min flow in the sunshine☀️

I wish I had done yoga this morning, like you @Yogachick 😓
Day 82, 14 minutes YWA for tired feet. Not only tired, but very swollen. It hasn't helped, but I've maintained my streak.

Yogachick · 23/06/2026 08:33

Well done for maintaining your streak @YogaFlow . I used to work in retail and my legs & feet were pudgy tree trunks by the end of the day when it was hot-& the air con never worked properly!
Day 27. CF Beginners & Improvers Day 2. This one ramped the creativeness up a gear, such an interesting, challenging practice. Always with the options. Early in the garden today, I’m setting an early alarm for the next week to get Her Ladyship out before it gets too hot.
Stay hydrated yogapeeps!💧

  1. CF 15 min yoga for sore muscles. Had a rubbish day yesterday and I do like to make things worse with self sabotage so wasn’t going to practice. Fortunately this one was on the playlist so I started off going through the motions,by the end I’ve reset that self destruct mode and am heading into today much more positive.🌻

Amazing @Yogachick , well done for allowing your body and mind to be taken over by yoga. I hope it was just the ticket for you.
Cankles are all I have at the moment, and sausage fingers. I have no aircon in my office and it was 30 degrees all morning and then 33.7 during the afternoon. I'm drinking 5/6 litres of water a day at the moment.

Yesterday Day 83, again, the 14 minutes YWA for tired feet.
Today, day 84, YWA 10 minutes for insomnia, because my DD was signed in to Youtube on the TV and it was the first practice that came up. I'm looking forward to getting back to CF once the temp returns to more normal levels, I think my head would explode if I did downdog in this heat.

I hope @Pinkfluffypencilcase @Heraldry @IdenticalHandTwin @B0D and @fingfong are all ok.

Yogachick · 25/06/2026 07:22

It’s getting harder to get on the mat but once I’m there I love how much more flexible I’m becoming in the practice. With Charlie I’m getting so much more in a compact time frame than I did with Adriene( sorry Adriene!) Day 29

The heat is a bit too much for me today,I’ve felt quite unwell. Just maintaining my streak (day 30!) with this 5 min CF posted in case anyway needs same

You inspired me today. Half past 6 this morning I saw the thread and got out of bed, stopped doomscrolling and did two short practices. Thank you!

YogaFlow · Yesterday 11:35

Well done @Yogachick @Talltreesbythelake for beating the heat and getting to the mat.

Thur & Fri Days 85 & 86 YWA 10 mins for insomnia-I slept really well both nights despite the heat.
I’m tempted to do the same practice tonight, we will see.

Yogachick · Yesterday 21:15

Lovely to hear you’ve been inspired @Talltreesbythelake . This and similar threads has helped me on countless occasions.
I’m interested in yoga for insomnia as I’ve been sleeping terribly in this heat @YogaFlow .
I’m did some strength work with weights as my main workout today. My back has been more niggly,I’ve had to revert to medication again too often . Still this evening was CF 15 min evening routine. Some truly delicious held stretches in this one along with the gentle sound of a babbling brook, Charlie is 👑of locations for sure. Somehow Im more flexible in the evening,so has added a dimension to my practice. Day 31🤩
