April yoga consistency

April- we’re still trying for consistency with our yoga practice. Flow is still here, we’re just doing the best we can!

OP posts:
YogaFlow · 28/04/2026 23:05

Flow Day 28 done - but I failed at crow pose, but it's another thing to aim for. Nearly at the end of the 30 days.

YogaFlow · 29/04/2026 18:34

Flow Day 29, the penultimate day. I wasn’t feeling it at all and it was probably my worst day. I had a really busy day at work and I’m very tired and hungry. But I did it. Fingers crossed that I’m more into it tomorrow.

Oh, and I don’t understand how crow pose works, I read about it yesterday, and it made sense, but actually doing it is another matter 😆

Day 27 completed as soon as I got in from work. I've been shattered all day and it was then or never.
I did a shoulder stand, of sorts, but it wasn't achieved by contracting my stomach muscles, but with leg momentum. I'm so glad I did it. I'm off to bed now and hope to feel less tired tomorrow.

I hope you're all doing ok 🙏

I feel the need to keep posting, as I could give up easily but I'm determined to stay accountable.

Please keep
pistong! It really helps to read and motivate.

day 13 today. V pleased that it started on your back. But it continued all on back.but I liked it.

there’s a thread in yoga somewhere asking how to do crow. That’s not the feet up is it?

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 30/04/2026 12:53

Serves me right for trying to post whilst laying down!

I meant keep posting!

Trickedbyadoughnut · 30/04/2026 15:52

This thread bumped me back into consistency - I have been gradually working through Flow, and have been doing post run and bedtime yoga, and sometimes the back videos, every day, so even though I'm not pushing myself as much as I would with Flow every day, I'm really pleased to find that consistency again after illness :)

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 30/04/2026 17:34

Agree. It helps massively. Left to my own devices I’d be an avoider.

YogaFlow · 30/04/2026 22:30

Hurrah, I thought I'd killed the thread 😀
@Trickedbyadoughnut and @Pinkfluffypencilcase I'm glad my posting is helpful, I'd be an avoider too without this thread.

I've done it, 30 days of Flow, and I overall I loved it, except today. I really didn't like the practice without Adriene verbally guiding us, I thought I was going to get a cricked in my neck trying to look at what she was doing.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 30/04/2026 22:46

Yay well done @YogaFlow 🎉

I must admit I’ve never got to day 30. I always swerve it.

What’s your plan next?

YogaFlow · 01/05/2026 07:40

Happy May Day everybody, good luck with you practices this month 💐

@Pinkfluffypencilcase I’ve decided to do Center this month. I’ll be back tonight once I’ve completed Day 1.

YogaFlow · 01/05/2026 22:38

Center Day 1 Done - It was great, just what I needed. I've did a few months of Center a back in 2023 and it felt nicely familiar today. Roll on tomorrow!

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 02/05/2026 14:16

That’s good @YogaFlow

ibe done centre before but only got part way through. They’re quite long aren’t they.

day 14 flow. Quite nice this one.

YogaFlow · 02/05/2026 14:49

@Pinkfluffypencilcase Ive just written it out and they average 21 minutes, with most being between 21 and 24. The longest is Day1 at 33 minutes but there was a lot of chat at the beginning 😄 then days 4,5,8 22 are between 25 and 30 mins.

I actually thought some days were much longer, but it probably just felt like it when it felt tough.

It’s been useful to write it out as when I play them though the TV I can’t see the length and if I pause it sometimes reactivates the YouTube ads.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 02/05/2026 14:52

Oh that sounds doable. Thanks for writing that detail.

I’ll either redo flow or perhaps centre. I like the 30 days series. I couldn’t get with the calendar for some reason.

YogaFlow · 02/05/2026 23:21

The calendar wasn't for me either @Pinkfluffypencilcase I like practice that builds day to day.

Center Day 2 done. I yawned all the way through, and finished feeling energised. Superb!

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 03/05/2026 13:43

Day 15 flow 21 mins

even Benji didn’t like the nostril breathing as he walked off.

lots of floor and mountain.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 03/05/2026 13:44

How’s everyone getting on?

YogaFlow · 03/05/2026 18:26

😂 @Pinkfluffypencilcase I’m with Bengi I’m not a fan of the nostril breathing either

Day 3 Center 24 mins. I found it really hard. I finished an hour ago, and my quads are still shaking 😂 Hopefully I’ll improve over time 🤞

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 04/05/2026 13:22

Day 16 flow
20 mins
felt shorter!
I could not do horizon. I keep squinting at the screen.
But the final stretches lovely.

YogaFlow · 04/05/2026 22:23

Day 3 of Center, 29 mins. I did it about 7pm. Again I yawned a lot, but felt so much better and refreshed by the time I finished - this is such a magical feeling.

Well done @Pinkfluffypencilcase a good stretch is amazing, isn't it?

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 04/05/2026 22:52

You’re doing excellent promotion of centre. I’m v tempted.

Yes the stretches were just what I needed too

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 04/05/2026 23:45

Oops I felt that strongly I posted 3 x!

YogaFlow · 05/05/2026 19:14

@Pinkfluffypencilcase I love Center, it feels like a slower practice, where she explains things better than in flow, so it makes me concentrate and adjust my pose, rather than drop the shoulders/breathe when she says. I'm not explaining it very well, but I really like it.

Oops, I realise, I posted yesterday as Day 3, but it was definitely day 4 that I did.

Day 5 of Center, 27 mins called Hug, and was a slow start sitting cross legged hugging your arms across your chest. It was the perfect start which subconciously switched my work brain off and engaged my yoga brain.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 06/05/2026 16:07

Day 17 of flow. Spine focus. Which was perfect as I woke up with a really stiff back today.

useful to know that in centre she talks through a bit more.
