April- we’re still trying for consistency with our yoga practice. Flow is still here, we’re just doing the best we can!

Struggled today but I overdid it yesterday out walking and lots of joint pain today. Need to manage things better so I am not wiped out the day after any busyness 😞

Day 19- Ride. I realised I do what CF recommends in that short video when I bring my foot forward! This was a good strong pace,I got very focused with my breath which always brings a buzz.
it’s a balance @Midlifeshenanigans ,maybe every other day would be a more comfortable aim for your body right now,or strip it right back to a 5 min practice

I woke up aching today, but felt better after completing day 4. I am embarrassed that I feel like I've been weight training, but it's only my body weight that I am finding challenging to lift. I keep reminding myself that each day I complete is a good thing.

Started Day 20, something about it sent my back off again,so abandoned after 10 mins. Back to my back exercises and naproxen.

Day 5 completed yesterday and Day 6 completed today. I lost concentration near the beginning and zoned out from what Adriene was saying, and was thinking let’s get on with it, but once she started with the abs it took all my concentration to complete it 😂

I’ve got a series from Bad Yogi( Erin Motz) which has done wonders in the past for my back so I started that today. It’s 6 wks but I always stopped 2 wks in so this can be my consistency. Well done on day 5&6 @YogaFlow . Day 7 is another abs one iirc!

I have managed about every other day between flares. Doing some modifications, including skipping past the bit where you're on all fours and have opposite arms and legs out - I remembered how much I hated that bit the first time I did Flow and although she always says it turns on your abs, I've never felt it does anything for me (although I realise that it's probably not me doing it right). I don't want to use the little energy that I have with that so just skipping til it's done.

Feels good to be back on the mat though.

@Trickedbyadoughnut instead of having opposite arms and legs extended try keeping both hands on the floor and sliding one leg out behind you,keeping toes on the floor. If you feel stable and want to ,you can then do the opposite hand,extended also keeping fingers/ hand on the floor,so you have the feel of the pose without the intensity. You might feel a gentle firming of the abs if you’re not stressing about lifting limbs and trying to balance into what’s quite a tough pose in the full version🌻

Day 7 complete. I found it tricky to balance at one part today in the lunge with my arm up and out.

Day 8 done. It was lovely, and just what I needed after a big lunch out with family. I have noticed that I am unable to do any of the arms above the head moves well. My arms just don't want to play ball.

Thanks - that's the thing, it doesn't feel intense at all, it feels too easy and like it's not doing anything, so I get bored with it - that's why I'm pretty sure I'm doing it wrong! But I am hypermobile so sometimes it's extra difficult to see where you're going wrong. I'll see if I can ask my yoga class leader at some point.

Did day 4 last night, got up to the abs/warrior bit and had to just do some breathwork until I could jump back in as I didn't feel great, but that was the last of the flow anyway, so got back in with the stretches/breathing. Might try day 5 today, which would be first time I've managed two in a row.

Day 9 done. A fun ending, I needed to do some forward folds at the end as I felt too energised and needed to let it out.

sorry went mia last few days. Got a lot going on

but missing those few days I really noticed how much my body misses it!

Jumped back into day 6. I do like this one core /centre. But it’s really hard!

Sorry to hear you’ve got a lot going on @Pinkfluffypencilcase but I’m glad you felt the benefit of getting back on the mat.

Days 10, 11 & 12 of Flow completed on the correct days. I’m back at work next week so I need to stay mindful of how much I enjoy the practice, even when the days are busy and time feels short.

I’m a rubbish thread person have been MIA. Well done all who are still Flowing( geddit?😂) Abandoned Bad Yogi😕but have done 30 mins of yoga on Apple Fitness the last 2 days. I do like that there is always a modifier & options talked about. I really enjoyed the 2 energetic flows I did, no aggravation on my back and interesting asana. I felt energised and calm after so definitely beneficial, though very different to Adriene

Yes, still Flow-ing but I seem to be in a every other day pattern now, but that's still a win after over a month being too sick to do anything! Although I did my old favourite bedtime yoga yesterday as my energy was definitely too low for Day 6! So hopefully will do that today

i tend to shorten or miss yoga in the days I’m at work. I can’t seem to do both.

Day 7. Today when she did her closing statements I was surprised we were done! Usually I’m checking how much longer to go.
