In an effort to be consistent without being overwhelmed we’re doing Flow for March. All practices less than 30 mins, modify freely, make it your own. The series is available on Youtube along with a calendar to download.

Hello,
I did day four earlier, it did flow faster today - I agree. I am just loving be conscious of my body moving. I spend so much time in my head, I like it so much, I do wonder why I stopped the last time…anyway, by the end I feel so happy!!

day 5 nice one today
i could squat! Feet flat on the floor. V pleased with that

I do like how she knows when my shoulders are up and my jaw is clenched.

@Yogachick thanks so much for starting this. I really would’ve stopped by now without the group.

Day 5- Represent. My heels are nowhere near the floor ,well done @Pinkfluffypencilcase ! I need more hip and ankle mobility. Evening practice for me as I did a strength workout this morning. You guys got me here,thank goodness,I’m feeling stretched and chill now🌻

Hello, unfortunately between work, eyelashes appointment, going to Waitrose and playing chess I didn’t yoga flow today but I will be back tomorrow!!

Day 6- Center. We all know about Day 6, though this wasn’t too hideous. I did all the first part but my leg scissors were a suggestion as I have a prolapsed disc. I have frustration with Adriene that core only ever means the front of body, it’s your whole centre and the back needs work as well for balance. I’ll have a dabble on Apple Fitness later to get some back strength work in.
I’ll be feeling this one not only in my abs but in my hip flexors,which turn on to help my feeble abs out. Be brave my friends ,this is Day 6 🌻

Hello! So I did day 5 today but if I had thought about it I would have done day six and just skipped it from yesterday. I didn’t think and just pressed play on the one that came up. I hope you were able to find some extra core exervises…I remember when I didn’t even know what a hip flexor was, I miss those days!! x

I missed day 6 yesterday as long day at work and decided I’d do it today as didn’t want to miss a core day.

I couldn’t get my legs up vertical to scissor so had to adapt big for that.

I did an upper body & core workout from YouTube yesterday for balance.Pummelled my abs again but did my back a world of good,I could feel the difference this morning.
Day 7-Sync. I thought this would be more restful after Day 6 but there was a little abs hit in there that I really didn’t need. I enjoyed the breath vinyasa at the end,lovely and calming,one she’s done on several practices. Because it’s just your arms moving I find I can really focus on breath to movement,clearing the monkey brain nicely..
I always think having the courage to modify your practice to be kind to your own body is a huge strength @Pinkfluffypencilcase ,something I very much lacked in my early years of practice,I’m sure forcing myself into poses contributed to my prolapsed disc.
The joy of just pressing play is one of the many reasons we love the 30 days @Sweetbeansandmochi . It doesn’t mean it has to be completed in 30 days. I also know I won’t do Day 30 which is always unguided. I need the guidance!

And I did part of day 7. Never done that before !

I’ve never completed 30 days in 30 before either.

Day 8- Relax, at last! Though my mind does go a wandering when the practice is this slow,the stretch is delicious and needed. Past the one week mark 🥳for Flow and Day 20 for my streak! Most impressed with myself😆

My abs ache today after day 6/7 yesterday.
I felt the ache and thought oh no what’s that and remembered and it made me happy!
day 8 relax phew!

I swear I’m feeling more flexible

Flow Day 9- Release. Lots of locusts. Balancing, 1 legged tadasana to warrior 3,I have a significant difference on my dodgy side but used the windowsill to assist. I got my heels a bit closer to the floor in the squat & I’m bringing my leg forward into lunge a little more smoothly. We have to appreciate our progress @Pinkfluffypencilcase ! My abs are still a little tender though,merely a sign I need to do more core work🌻

incremental improvements is good. They all add up.

I had a very busy day at work today so I’ve sadly not had chance for yoga. And it sounds very energetic!

Day 10 - Align. Her cues for Warrior 1 don’t work for my body and when she says feel the earth under your feet( not a quote but similar) I can’t feel it on one side as most of my foot is numb since back/ sciatica trauma last year. I do try though. I had to force myself to the mat,though of course I feel better for practicing. I’m just getting a bit bored

Almost half way through though!

I think I’ll do day 11 today to keep up and add day 10 after or when we finish.

im determined to keep going as this is usually the point I go forget it!

however I can feel the benefits already to my mood, energy levels and I think a bit more flexibility. Well worth it!

My mum can touch her toes I lost that ability through stiffness a couple years back. I’m getting nearer though!

Day 11- Soul. Thanks for your encouragement @Pinkfluffypencilcase , you got me to the mat today,appreciating why I WANT to be here. Nice stretchy one today, I find if I raise my hips I access much better opening and get more from those postures. Short but valuable.23 days🌻

and I didn’t have to drag my leg as much
I mean I still
had to drag it but it felt easier

i I can’t do forward fold it makes my breathing funny.

But I feel stronger.

Yay good to hear that. Obviously you’re recovery is the most important. Thanks for the encouragement too.

I did day 13 ease today as missed it yesterday. Nice and short at 18 minutes. My abs can really feel that one.

@Pinkfluffypencilcase sorry I missed your comment,it’s not the forward fold it’s the hands under the feet which is gorilla. Get a good bend in your knees and have your feet comfortably wide to access it without pain a juicy tummy. It’s bliss on the hands and wrists when you wiggle your toes 🤩
