In an effort to be consistent without being overwhelmed we’re doing Flow for March. All practices less than 30 mins, modify freely, make it your own. The series is available on Youtube along with a calendar to download.

blimey! Just did day 1
i am so out of condition. I couldn’t do many of the moves and adapted lots of them. But from previous experience I hope to improve.
she had us in a squat and said go into mountain pose. I couldn’t get up! Took me awhile.

But that’s what convinced me I had to do something - I was squatting down to get something from bottom shelf and had to push myself up off floor

Use your hands on your legs/ knees to help @Pinkfluffypencilcase . I’ve done that a lot since I had sciatica,I’m still less flexible& weaker on that side and that was last August🙄
Had a niggle to start the day,couldn’t add Flow Day 1 in the app( don’t get the app if you’re thinking about it,this is one of many niggles) I emailed support then found a workaround by going to the website. But the whole point of having the app is smooth simplicity😡
Anyway I quite enjoyed Day 1- Set. It was a little different from other practices. The knees,chest,chin was a bellyflop here. My wrists have gotten weak so I had frequent breaks. It’s all good.
Ive also downloaded Insight meditation app for a 7 day trial and did 10 mins before coffee. I used to have Calm but it got a bit spenny for me,Insight is cheaper but also has a vast library of free stuff .

it makes the journey better with others.
I have sciatica and a rotator cuff injury so movement is quite tricky. Lots of belly flops here too. She makes it look so effortless!

Day one done. Certainly no elegance here ( dread to think what I looked like 😃) and struggled with the lunges and weak wrists but looking forward to being more flexible in a months time 🤞 it was a good length for me. I can’t get on with the app @Yogachick so I gave up and just streamed it from youtube.

Day 2- Notice. I think a repeat of yesterday but felt a bit more,the layering is what I most enjoy about the 30 day series.I defy anyone to say yoga is easy,my HR got up to 119! I’m so happy I’m doing this series with all of you 🌻

Hello, I just did Day 2.
I am so happy right now, I am so tight and do a repeat of yesterday at a slow pace was so good. Even though it seems Adrienne takes her time without rushing overall I thought it was over before I knew it!

Flow Day 3- How. I always struggle with Warrior 1, my hips just don’t work with it. It’s easier with feet on railroad tracks instead of lined up,then do a big ole shuffle to Warrior 2. Figure 4 is awkward, I need the stretch of bringing my leg up but my arms aren’t quite long enough. Note to self,bring belt & blocks to the mat,they really help!

I struggled today- I know my hips are very tight but I really hate lunges. I’m also much shorter and rounder than Adriene so I think I will always struggle with some moves.

Yes those warrior poses are t smooth for me at all.

Also shorter and fatter than Adrienne. I imagine I look graceful then catch myself in the mirror!

My mum (in her 80s) started yoga a couple of years ago and she looks graceful. She’s a similar figure to me. She was showing off her tree pose to me recently. And can bend forward to touch the floor! I really struggle with that forward bend.

We all have different bodies so shouldn’t compare,though I know that’s easy to say. Just think @Pinkfluffypencilcase in a couple of years with steady consistency you won’t recognise yourself! Remember Adriene’s actual job is yoga,the rest of us have real lives. I’m somewhat juicy with mahoosive boobs ,I constantly modify for practicality & comfort. But I’m on my mat,as are you guys,doing our best,and we weren’t doing that before so GO US!🥳

Blimey day 4 movement. That was fast. I stopped at 11 mins to take breather.

by the time I got into mountain she was already 5 steps ahead!

I can’t go down to the ground then up to cobra so I do cobra then go to the ground. For now. Just to feel that stretch in my spine.

Any spinal stretch is great @Pinkfluffypencilcase ! Happy Benji helps your relaxation, my dog particularly enjoys running round the garden then trotting back & forth on my yoga mat with damp feet while I’m practicing. Hint-damp pawprints don’t clean off Liforme yoga mats very easily,or completely🫣
I wouldn’t have got to my mat today if we weren’t doing this together so thank you all x
Flow Day 4- Movement. Knee to nose was only done one side,so if you’re anal about that stuff,pause after that move and do the other side. My win today is getting on my mat,so I was fine being a bit unbalanced😬

Ha I didn’t even notice she only did one side! I was just relieved she moved on. I drag my leg there’s no lifting 😂

Do you all keep your tummies pulled in for all movements? I did try today as I think it might strengthen core and that’s what I really must do.
