I did yesterday’s quad session this morning and it was horrible. I had to really force myself to carry on through the lunges. Glad that one is over.

Day 27 today it went straight into my favourites. Loved the set up and every single exercise. It bit my biceps hard . Ironic that we had been discussing single arm pullovers just the other day!

You have to be the in the mood for those lungeathons, don't you, Fibrous. I use my dodgy knee as an excuse to bow out most of the time.

Full body split day 2 done and dusted. A little shouldery but such an excellent workout. I did kettlebell swings instead of heel-elevated squats just to try to wake up a bit as this workout involves so much time down on the mat... fatal when you're sleepy. Skipped the ab finisher as should be doing a combat class tonight.

The play Day 27 looks pretty good BB! Unilateral stuff is the best and I felt quite sulky when the previous unilateral day was only shoulders.😆 I might try it tomorrow.

Today’s workout definitely won’t be going into my favourites, unilateral upper body for the whole workout is sheer tedium for me 😂but I’m glad you enjoyed it @BigButtons! I don’t mind unilateral leg workouts at all tho’ and will try the quad workout on Thursday. I did my usual Monday upper body from Intent then 45 minutes on the indoor bike as it’s still raining here….

moving around tomorrow will be fun 😬😂
if’s funny @samthebordercollie how we all like different stuff . I could not do the same workout every week. !!

I agree. Unilateral work is so good for feeling the muscles, recruiting the core and all that. It's hard. She has a great upper body kettlebell one on the app with single-side upright rows with 10kg and it's beastly (for me) - not so much the strain on the shoulders, but staying stable and not listing to the side! Unilateral chest press are just as tough. And my core feels it the next day.

Did a unilateral shoulders from epic 3 yesterday instead of another tedious glutes day. Loved it. My body feels really tired am sore atm though. Might be forced to do a deload for a few days/

Full body split x 3 day 3 today, but had to just do 2 circuits due to a time crunch.

Any good Play ones this week? This upper push one today- pyramids- looks hard and maybe interesting.

Thank you both. I will do some combination of those two workouts from Play on Friday. Looking ahead the next upper body day is called DELTS X 100 and if I ever knew I wasn't even going to glance at the workout, it's this time!

@Gobacktotheworld2 it depends how that delt workout is structured I guess. I am going to do some of yesterday’s today with lighter weights. Don’t feel too good and there are loads of sickness type bug at school- I never get sick like that but can feel crappy.

I did that play pyramid one (day 29) this morning. It was fine at the time but I'm feeling it now every time I raise my hands up from my keyboard.

I wasn't brave enough for the unilateral one after all your comments on how hard it is. You guys are way stronger than me! Also I love pullovers but the thought of a one handed one didn't sound appealing.

@Gobacktotheworld2I’m with you on that delts one! @Fibrousthe unilateral one wasn’t that bad. I don’t lift anywhere near CG’s weights but used her weights as guidance. I think she used 7.5s for the unilateral pullovers.

Definitely trying the pyramid push workout tomorrow from Play, but will sub either chest presses of chest flyes for push-ups. This morning I did the quad cluster workout from Sunday and agree with @BigButtonsit was quite boring but with clusters I guess she was limited, are wall sit clusters possible? Step ups would have been, though. I wasn’t at all a sweaty mess like some commenters so added on Day 16 too as I had the time this morning. Although I regretted it a little during the lunchtime spin class, that was a lot of quad work for one day!

That's a lot of quads Sam.

Also did the pyramid day 29. Mostly good, though almost lost my reason during the rear delts. I did skip the lat raise one entirely because shoulder press and upright rows more than hit the side delts enough, and the shoulder stuff bores me senseless.

I did day 30 play this morning, full body. It was okay. Trying to get my house ready to go to market today or tomorrow so my mind is on other things but glad I got it out of the way!

Ooh, Fibrous. Good luck with that! Hope you can move somewhere with enough room to swing a cat. Your dogs would surely enjoy that.

I had planned to do Play Day 30 this eve but saw diagonal raises and rear delt rows and just did extra cardio instead. Going back to Heather for the coming week.

@TessTickle0I do a lot of cycling so have quads of steel now 😂. I also don’t find Play very challenging with lighter weights and long rests. There’s no way I could have done 2 PE workouts back to back. On a FB group (not the one I’m banned from) a few people mentioned they were feeling a little ‘soft’ from doing Play compared to other programmes so it’s not just me

Seriously though, Play is my first programme on the app and im finding some days tough, I think im not used to the longer sets and actually had to decrease my weights because of it.
I said it before and will again-i am in awe of what some of you ladies lift.

I am always wary of people dissing progs. I have had to take my weights down at times with play. We all respond in our own way to different sorts of training. I have certainly not gone soft from play but then again I am not a crazy who is measuring my biceps like some of them out there. Caroline doesn’t look like she has ‘gone soft’ lol!🤣
