I played it safe over the weekend, Frustrated! There was a small craft weather warning so despite the sea actually looking quite calm, I decided not to risk going in. Yesterday was more squats at s&c and I just had a short run with ds.

45 mins swim - didn't count lengths
97.

BezMills · 29/05/2025 06:37

Kind of an awkward week because I'm on holiday. So basically nothing, yet, but hope to do gym and McBodyCombat today, Friday and Saturday.

My gym is stopping classes at the end of June so no more local BodyCombat. I am gutted for lovely Anna Sensei, and it's a big loss for me too. For most of the last 4 years, BC has been my non-negotiable, the anchor to my week's fitness activity. The baseline that kept me "pretty fit" even when I was doing little else. The springboard from which every other good thing was launched.

I am going to be a bit bereft.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/05/2025 19:10

Lovely sea swim yesterday and s&c this evening.

That's a shame Bez. My gym announced yesterday that it's going to start doing HyRox which had me worried but I met the owner tonight and it's only going to be a couple of classes a week so shouldn't impact on the rest of us normals 😁

3.8 mile dog walk. Had an easy week, due to tendonitis.

56 x25m swim

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/05/2025 21:13

Very sorry to hear that, Bez.

I have had a crazy week at work followed by a week’s holiday, but have faithfully done 30 minutes of yoga a day while we were away, so I think I will count it.

48/200

BezMills · 31/05/2025 07:33

Great work training on hols, @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson

I've managed to train on Thursday (gym then BodyCombat) and Friday (just gym). Today is gym then hopefully get a cancellation or squeeze in to a fully booked BodyCombat class.

Then no training Sunday, travel home Monday and get back on it Tuesday.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 31/05/2025 09:58

“Training” is pushing it to describe anything I do, really, especially 30 minutes online yoga videos.

Lift and Shed L1 done, plus the flamenco bit of my dance video.

49/200.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/05/2025 20:13

S&c this morning followed by a dip/sauna/dip/sauna. Sauna on a warm day is very disconcerting.

I got in the gym but BodyCombat was full and no chance to sneak in, even as an additional instructor. 111 tho!

Alittlefrustrated · 31/05/2025 22:35

20 mins on my elliptical walker, which has stood unused in the garage for 22 years. I was knackered 😳Infact, I had to do it in 5 minute bursts with 1 minute recoveries. Things can only get better 🤣

Alittlefrustrated · 01/06/2025 21:12

50 minute swim,as fast as my arms and legs would let me !

5 (and a bit!) mile dog walk - that's probably it for today.

Well done on hitting 100 frustrated!

S&c Monday and today. I'm sore after them.

5.1 mile dog walk yesterday - not too happy to have found a 3 ticks in the utility today. He's fully protected, so he's OK, but I always hose him and then dry him in the utility, he obviously had some passengers 😕I also brushed and combed him before he went home, so hopefully he left them here. I've been desperate for another dog, after mine passed, but last year and now this year, is putting me right off. I had a dog for 17 years, and the only time I saw a tick was on holiday, down south. When your dog is protected they look for you instead 😕

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 07/06/2025 17:48

That's a pain, frustrated. Luckily our dog is really short haired and AFAIK ticks aren't an issue round here

S&c this morning. Got to 65kg x 4 lifts for my deadlift. Since I was at 75kg before my surgery, I was thinking this morning that I'd love to get to 90kg before the end of the year. I dont know if that's realistic but I need an aim.
