New thread all Smile

plink I love the circuit workouts but they always fool me into thinking they are going to be easy but they hurt!! Shoulder intervals are definitely the easiest of them all and there for my favourites Grin

purple was it the first time doing 10 minute abs? It is amazing! It hurts so much but you know it is working...it is our go-to abs workout. Even better now that we have another 6 versions to use as I was so bored of the original one in terms of Autumns witterings. I swear I know it off by heart GrinGrin

My poor abs - they’re so sore! Abs doms are the worst. I’ve done the 21dfx and real time 10min abs but they are nothing compared to that beast. I expect an instant 6 pack now!

Struggling a bit today. Diet went a little off course yesterday after I drank my body weight in Prosecco Blush. I didn’t think there was much point in recording that on mfp...... back on it today. Went for a 10mile run but I can’t believe how hungry it has made me. I’ve eaten what I normally eat but am staaaaarving. That thing about cardio making you hungry is definitely true for me.

Hope you’re all well and looking forward to the weekend

Reastie · 21/09/2019 18:13

Purple I always find running uses up mega calories so not surprising you’re hungry. Hope you enjoyed the prosecco!

Thermo that’s great it felt a bit easier. I know what you mean about when it’s boring it’s harder. That’s why I love les mills as you can often sing along to the music at least.

Plink having a happy accident last time means the 2ww is a new thing then. It sucks, you find yourself checking every single twinge and weirdness you get and trying to put it down to maybe being pg. it’s a complete mind bend but after a few months I found it easier. It’s coming up soon to a year since I got my bfp Shock . I’m sure it’s been quick for you all but it feels like such a lifetime ago!

Still physically struggling with daily life and debilitating stomach pains from exhaustion meaning I physically can’t manage to workout most days still. It’s frustrating and feels like I’ll never be back on form but I know eventually I’ll get there. Need to start taking my anti anxiety medication again as gp things this might calm me enough to help my stomach. It’s annoying as exercise is suppose to help stress and anxiety and stamina yet I can’t manage it properly. My legs and bum feel so weak and I miss them feeling strong. Today I managed a c25k week 3 ‘run’ so still trying. Just hoping I don’t get too much of a stomach ache tonight to pay me back for it. Tomorrow I might try body balance again as it’s hard work but sort of relaxing at the same time iykwim. Weight loss in continuing and recent NSV is my engagement and wedding rings are once again too big for me to wear so are off. Feel bad to be happy about not being able to wear them but hey ho! I am on the absolute cusp of healthy weight bmi now too Grin

Purpleraindeer · 22/09/2019 09:58

That’s brilliant about the BMI reastie (sad re the wedding ring though). I know what you mean re body balance. I find it very relaxing. I wonder if doing more of that and building your strength will help you do more exercise and stop the pain? Worth a try?

I’m checking in as I’m half way through today’s hybrid workouts. Did full body HIIT this am then 21df dirty 30 later. This hybrid is testing me. It is really noticeable how hard the weights are. I’m enjoying it in a twisted way though.

Reastie · 22/09/2019 10:44

Purple enjoy part 2 of workout this afternoon.

found this . Apols for horrible newspaper on the link but wow to that woman!

yumyumpoppycat · 22/09/2019 13:29

Wow purple - she is amazing! Well done on workouts - would you say the hybrid is harder than doing insanity?

Reastie I agree with Purple - body balance sounds perfect. Really fantastic about weightloss. You cant do anything about the stress your body is under from lack of sleep but doing something like body balance sounds like it would be a restorative thing for your body.

I have been a bit of a disaster this week - fingers crossed I get my act together next week.

yumyumpoppycat · 22/09/2019 13:33

Reastie - if you are actively cutting back calories would it be worth upping them for a bit now that your BMI is looking healthier again, just to help with the exhaustion?

Theromanempire · 22/09/2019 16:37

reastie well done on the weight loss...I'm embarrassed to admit that I am losing weight to get my engagement/wedding rings back on. I haven't been able to wear them since I was pregnant with DC1 and they are now a teenager BlushBlush

Love Body Balance but can't access any of them without LMOD. I love the music and blend of yoga, pilates etc and there is nothing like it on BBOD Sad

purple well done on doing both workouts today. .I am splitting up the Full Body Hiit and Dirty 30 as I cannot do both together! I've done week 8 FBH today and am planning on doing Dirty 30 tomorrow before Clubbercise and then week 2 will be dunzo!

So I have found the Body Pump workouts that they did for Beachbody about 6 years ago. They aren't available on BBOD but are on the secret site. I am going to try and fit them in somehow as I love Pump, the music tracks sound awesome and they have Joel and Jericho teaching in them - Joel looks like a baby but Jericho looks exactly the same! DH won't do it as he hates working out to music so I'll do it on nights I'm solo! I also don't have a barbell but I figure I can adapt it with dumbbells Wink

OP posts:
Reastie · 22/09/2019 18:35

Thermo defo you can adapt with dumbbells. I really like those pump workouts, wonder why they’re not on bbod. Maybe a licensing issue from lm or does bbod only have the new stuff? That was what got me into pump :) . I have the dvd. Speaking of which, I wish lmod would sell some dvds rather than all on their app. I like to have something physical and they seem to delete the older workouts when they put on new ones so at some point my favourite releases won’t be available anymore and if I could buy them to keep forever I would. Btw you’ll get there, the important thing is your fitness I think, and I may be slimmer than my initial dd pre preg weight but I’m less fit.

Yumy it might be worth upping calories, I’m not sure. Some days I’m ravenous all the time and others not as much but I feel like I’m eating a good quantity and I’m keeping it pretty clean. Today is a hungry day and I’ve felt sick with hunger before dinner so I had a bowl of muesli andnthen an oatcake after my soup for dinner and I’m still hungry 😲. I’m not sure if it’s hunger or exhaustion though because I barely got any sleep last night and couldn’t have a nap as ds kept crying for milk every time I tried.

Did body balance earlier, the harder tracks are impossible for me! But I modified a lot and got through it with different easy options. It’s the legs and core stuff that I find most impossible. Was a lovely relaxation at the end though (even if I had to cut it short to feed ds). Ds is still a pushchair denier but will now go in a carrier facing outwards. Which annoyingly hurts my back but does mean hopefully I can do short walks with him when I’m up to it. It’s just as well he’s so cute so I forgive him for totally ruining and breaking me!

Purpleraindeer · 22/09/2019 20:22

Yes it was a bit of a hardcore day roman. I’m tired and my bum is killing from the combo of legs yesterday, HIIT this am and then dirty30 this eve. You are wise to split them up. Although I’m not sure a double with clubbercise is any easier.

You can modify most barbell stuff to dumbbells. I think it makes it a bit harder.
We also did a family 2k race today - was really nice to do something I enjoy with the kids too. Dd was a bit competitive. I think she might get that from me Blush

yumyumpoppycat · 22/09/2019 20:29

Reastie I would love it if there were some lmod dvds! I guess they want people paying for the monthly sub. Re the cals - seeing as you have been steadily loosing there must be some room to up them a bit? I am not eating clean at all at the moment and I wish I had your discipline but at the same time you probably need more cals right now. I am mostly eating vegetarian at the moment and I feel like that is part of why I am struggling as a lot of the options are carby which makes me want more carbs!

yumyumpoppycat · 22/09/2019 20:34

cross posted - purple your family run sounds great, love that there is a mini purple in the making!

Theromanempire · 23/09/2019 09:09

purple love that your family run together. My 2 DC are the typical lazy kids who won't do anything extra unless it involves a ball Hmm

Honestly, Clubbercise is an absolute walk in the park compared to Full Body Hit! I barely get out of breath during the 45 minute class and only do it as it is just sooooooo much fun...certainly not for the fitness benefits Wink so doing Dirty 30 and then Clubbercise is like doing Dirty 30 and then going for a reasonably brisk 45 minute walk with maybe 2 hills!

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 24/09/2019 20:54

Just did day 1 of wk 2 of hybrid. I found total cardio fix (21dfx) included some rather tricky coordinated moves so I’m not sure I got them right. Autumn has gone a bit ‘dancer’!
Also I was sore-er after my weekend hybrid workouts than I was after my ultra. I’m still struggling to get out of a chair without making an ooof noise!
How are you getting on roman?

Theromanempire · 24/09/2019 21:33

purple yes, some of them are quite tricky...I really struggled with the woodchopper jumping feet and felt my woodchopping from suffered as my feet were in the wrong place.

Rest day today - last rest day was Wednesday and had a 5am start and a 6-hour round trip for a work thing today so I just didn't have the energy for 2 workouts today. Week 3 of the hybrid will start tomorrow Smile

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 25/09/2019 06:27

Oh I forgot - went to clubbercise on Monday and there was a woman there who used to go regularly but hasn't been for probably 9-12 months. At the end of the class she came over (never really spoken to her) to tell me that she had noticed that I had lost absolutely loads of weight SmileSmile made me feel really good (even though my weight hasn't really changed since before Christmas as I've been losing the same 7lbs ever since then [blush)]

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 25/09/2019 21:42

That is fab re the lady at clubbercise roman. No wonder you’re pleased. You have lost a lot of weight. So what that you’ve been a bit up and down since Xmas - it’s brilliant.

I’m tired tonight cardio fix week 2 was really hard. I struggled, but in a good way. I really enjoyed the workout - will definitely do that one again. My arms are all wobbly from chest and triceps too.

Theromanempire · 25/09/2019 22:08

purple yes I think week 2 workouts were my favourite as I really enjoyed the 30 secs of each move rather than 60 secs of one move. Week 3 is 60 seconds of the harder move ConfusedHmm did week 3 Cardio Fix tonight...was harder than last week and nowhere near as interesting!

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 29/09/2019 15:43

Hi all
I’m nearly at the end of week 2 of the hybrid. I did the horrible double today (full body HIIT then dirty 30). It wasn’t as bad as last week. That’s more than I can say for that horrible 10mins abs workout which is evil. How is it even possible to keep their pace?! It is working though. I’ve lost a few lbs but my dress which was getting a bit snug is now definitely looser Smile

Theromanempire · 30/09/2019 12:20

purple I don't keep pace in the 10 minute abs as it is far too fast and I prefer to keep my form good so I do them at my own pace while Autumn counts to 20 - I generally do 14-15.

So coming to the end of week 3 (just got full body hiit to do). I am loving this calendar Smile did week 3 dirty 30 this morning and it was fab - loved the changes to the exercises and will definitely do that again when I want an all-over body workout!

Did week 3 10 minute Abs aswell- it is totally different to the original one and really great. Mixes up crunches, plank work, obliques so really does work all the core.

Next week, we move to 21df extreme. .I'm scared Confused

Hope you are all ok Smile

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 30/09/2019 20:14

I’d like to say I do fewer to keep my form good but that would be a lie. I do fewer as my abs are burning and begging me to stop!

I am really enjoying the hybrid too. Don’t worry about 21dfx - the new one has been designed so it is not a big jump from wk3 of 21df. the hardest workouts are dirty30 and cardio fix extreme. The others are ok.

DH said I was looking slim tonight. Smile he then followed it up with ‘not all gaunt like you looked like last time you went on a diet’ Grin.

yumyumpoppycat · 03/10/2019 21:25

Hello! I am not exercising at the moment but just popping on to say well done on the hybrids Roman and Purple - really impressed that you are both loving them Grin

Purple what are you doing differently with your diet do you think, I get the gaunt comments when I lose weight too even when I still have a fair bit of weight to lose (not that that is likely to be a concern for me any time soon!)

Hope you are ok plink and reastie!

Reastie · 05/10/2019 07:59

Hi all,

Not been on here too much as don’t want to be reminded of all the exercise I want to do and can’t 😭 but checking in.

Yumy good to hear from you, how is everything?

Purple I think that’s a nice compliment from your dh 😂

Thermo 21df extreme?! As if 21 df wasn’t hard enough! That’s fantastic about the comment from the woman, things like that are such a boost.

Still trying to do a c25k and body balance once a week. Still losing around 1lb a week but don’t know how as I’m eating a lot . Finally into healthy BMI and looking slimmer than a couple of months ago but a long way to go. My muscle tone and fitness is non existant but tbh I’m just proud I’m not gaining. I’ve had to start citalopram because of my stomach and it’s intensifying my hunger so I’m sensing this will be a tough time.

Purpleraindeer · 06/10/2019 18:58

Hi all!
Hope you’ve had good weekends
Sorry to hear about the lack of exercise reastie - you’ll get there eventually just hang in there. Great re the weight loss. It must feel reassuring to be back at normal BMI too.

Poppy - All I’ve done is calorie count again and tried to stay at 1400-1500 cals. I’ve stopped now but I find I end up resetting myself so after a few weeks cal counting I naturally eat less (apart from this weekend when I had some bits of cake which is a bit unlike me!). Are you not feeling 100% still? I recall you were exercising a bit but then got plantar fasciitis - is that getting better?

Good weekend of exercise. Finally felt good on my long run. I think the ultra took more out of me than I thought as I really noticed I was feeling more energetic this weekend. I did that 21df wk3 abs and you were right Roman - it is amazing. It was really challenging without being depressingly too hard. I hope I don’t need to laugh at any point tomorrow! Smile

PlinkPlink · 06/10/2019 19:13

Hi everyone!

Long time no check in!

It's all fallen by the wayside. Exercise. Diet. Argh.

DS has started potty training and I was not prepared for how much hard work that would be and how stressful it was.

Washing machine has broken down - sparks flying, potential house fire danger.

Just making small choices to try and get back on board.

You guys sound like you're enjoying the hybrid! Hope you've all been well and looking after yourselves Smile
