Who fancies 10km of mud and obstacles? Come and join Team Wolef

Quite a few of us are interested in doing the Wolf Run this September so we were thinking of getting a team together.

It's for all abilities, it should be really good fun. It's not timed and it'll be too wet to wear your Garmin, so don't worry if you're not a fast runner. We'll be a team and no Wolef will be left behind.

It's on the 6th & 7th of September just south of Coventry, so fairly central. If we get a team together we get a slightly discounted entry.

If you're interested, post on here and we'll start making a list.

We also need to pick a charity so if everyone wants to suggest their favourite one and then we can argue about it for ages with no firm decision being made.

So, I'm in and my favourite charity is the Birth Trauma Association.

Hello hello everyone.

you may remember I came on this thread all full of energy to do the wolef run then realised just how hard it was and chickened out Blush .

So, at work I've been asked if I want to join a team and do the nuts challenge . I just wondered if anyone here has done it and how hard core it is/how it compares to wolf run? Would like to do an assult course type event but I'm not sure if this is as hard core as wolf run. I'm looking for a wolf run-lite. Thanks

Oh lordy, lordy...that looks high.

Am I the official shover-upper then with my 5' 10" frame?

Standingonlego · 30/04/2014 19:07

I am desperately PMing Big Foot (and also her friend) as they are the missing links for pack 2 - i have all I need from EauRouge and Feetheart.

Starting to fret....

BigfootFiles · 30/04/2014 20:29

I've PM'd you... but just seen you've replied, so you know that. :) I'll get back to you with friend's details as soon as she gets back to me!

I'm 5' 10" too, so perhaps we can form the base of some sort of human pyramid, Feetheart?

BigfootFiles · 30/04/2014 21:09

My friend can't make it, so sorry to mess you about. :( Standing, I've PM'd you. Will see if I can rustle anyone else up but not hopeful.

Any lurkers lurking who want to take the plunge?!

Standingonlego · 30/04/2014 21:19

Don't worry bigfoot i have an unsuspecting non- MNing best friend at the other end of the uk who I will enter as number 5 :)

She is a runner and up for a challenge...I owe her a surprise...and I know her DOB Grin

Standingonlego · 30/04/2014 21:20

Just relieved you and feetheart are there for the wall - she is a short arse too, but does have perfect eyesight!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 30/04/2014 21:54

Grin Grin Grin

lego you are on a roll today!

Standingonlego · 30/04/2014 22:35

Ok folks - pack 2 all registered and paid....so feetheart, bigfoot, EurRouge plus my unsuspecting BF - lets call her crockery - are ready to go Grin

OhOne - the packcode thing worked just really easily and cross matched to MN Wolefs straight away :)

feetheart · 01/05/2014 09:53

Showed DS some of the photos from last w/e before school - he is completely inspired (he's 8 :)), I'm a mix of fear and excitement and am now fretting about my glasses Hmm

EauRouge · 01/05/2014 10:08

Yay, we're booked. We can't change our minds now, right?

I'm a bit worried about my contact lenses. Maybe we should all wear scuba masks?

feetheart · 01/05/2014 10:11

Now I do have one of those and it has prescription lenses in from about 15 years -ago--. I will look like a dork though :)

GeekLove · 01/05/2014 10:13

OK how do I register - does my pack have a name I can put in on the website? I am guessing you would like me to pay sometime soon!

Also I am doing some drafts for T-shirt illustrations if anyone is interested. I plan to have the preliminary sketches ready for the weekend.

EauRouge · 01/05/2014 10:16

Ooh, yes, I would love to see them. Are they very wolfy?

OP posts:
feetheart · 01/05/2014 10:33

Excellent, t-shirts look good in 'before' photos on WOLF website, rather samey in 'after' photos :o

EauRouge · 01/05/2014 11:15

Yes, I think we'll have a job recognising each other at the end Grin Another reason for getting Wolef fleeces!
