Who fancies 10km of mud and obstacles? Come and join Team Wolef

Quite a few of us are interested in doing the Wolf Run this September so we were thinking of getting a team together.

It's for all abilities, it should be really good fun. It's not timed and it'll be too wet to wear your Garmin, so don't worry if you're not a fast runner. We'll be a team and no Wolef will be left behind.

It's on the 6th & 7th of September just south of Coventry, so fairly central. If we get a team together we get a slightly discounted entry.

If you're interested, post on here and we'll start making a list.

We also need to pick a charity so if everyone wants to suggest their favourite one and then we can argue about it for ages with no firm decision being made.

So, I'm in and my favourite charity is the Birth Trauma Association.

Standingonlego · 23/04/2014 21:16

Are we all still here??/ I just have to report not on my fitness training (there has been none, just regression into Easter egg comfort eating) but that i saw a lady at the gym in a very fetching Wolf Fleece....i was about to try and sneak a picture but then realised i would look like a lunatic...

Standingonlego · 27/04/2014 00:18

OhOne you are a pack leader too, are your WOLEFS ready to go?

EauRouge · 27/04/2014 09:37

EauRough? Angry Grin I sent you a PM, did you get it? I sent it from my phone and my typing on there is a bit wobbly.

Blathers
jellybrain

Mitchy1nge · 27/04/2014 10:19

I think the plan is something like this-

Everybody is dead keen and pays their entry fee very soon.
We get MN Team Wolef t shirts sorted.
We get Wolef fleeces to wear after the race.
We meet up for some kind of muddy trail run training thing if possible.
Wolf run day and we try to get around without peeing ourselves, drowning or getting stuck behind a wall.

WOAH THERE

nobody said anything about a fleece! what if I have a rare sort of disorder where I don't mind looking shit all the time yet draw the line at wearing fleece? is making me shuddery

am I the oldest? maybe can have some special senior 'fleece' made of dinosaur hide

Mitchy1nge · 27/04/2014 10:59

(obviously this is not a deal breaker but I must have missed the part about the fleece, it could be worse, it could be a onesie!)

EauRouge · 27/04/2014 11:13

We'll be cold and wet afterwards, and a Wolef fleece will be both warm AND stylish.

I don't know how old everyone is. I think we did stats further upthread where some of us said how old, short-sighted and short we are.

Hi EauRouge (EauRough - i blame the autocorrect Blush) i got your PM but not heard from anyone else in my original gang yet - I PMed everyone - might have to e-mail them too - so it is just me and thee at the moment.

Standingonlego · 27/04/2014 11:35

I think we will have some drop outs and injuries so we might need to re-jig a bit. So shout if you are IN, and shout if you are OUT so we can get organised as needed. We do not have to go in bundles of 5 :)

feetheart · 27/04/2014 14:30

I'm in (and probably get the 'oldest wolef' prize Mitchy - like the idea of dinosaur hide tres chic and hopefully warm and water-proof :))

Mitchy - if my memory serves me correctly weren't you going to be a wolef pack leader? If not I am happy to do it.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 27/04/2014 21:18

Blathers, Bellsa and I are still on from my original pack of 5. I will PM jelly and gin Smile

BigfootFiles · 28/04/2014 09:57

I'm still in, and I have a friend who is also interested in coming along - let me know if anyone needs one more in their team.

Mitchy1nge · 28/04/2014 11:01

oh yes would be v happy to devolve the powers to you feetheart

and am still in

feetheart · 28/04/2014 12:03

Think we need 3 more! Unless anyone else got in touch with you Mitchy?
I'm happy to do the sorting out but need to be reminded of the details I need. Will look on website later once I've done payroll and paid myself so I can afford top pay for wolefs.
Did anyone hear the mention on Chris Evans this morning for a team that had done this weekend's one? He even did a hoooowwwl for them :)

Mitchy1nge · 28/04/2014 12:08

oh yes people did!

I will dig them out!

feetheart · 28/04/2014 12:10

'top pay'? to pay
Wish I was getting top pay, whatever it is, sounds a lot more than my pittance :)
