I thought I had better start one seeing as no one else has.
Please add your updates, whether it is a New Year's Resolution to get fit or you have been here for the long haul!

I have just had two days off due to my lower abs being hugely painful, thing I must have pulled something the other day.
Hopefully back on it after the child goes to sleep.

Hope all is going well for the rest of you and you are all eager to go again when the kids are back at school. My poor DS1 starts back today!

I know sally its hard going the shred makes me ache but never feels enough cardio wise don't know if I will be able to keep both up every day though. I've got an outfit I need to get into in less than 3 weeks so I'm hitting it hard in the hope of quick inch loss.

spinningirl10 · 14/01/2014 17:18

Great to hear people are seeing results!!!

I also managed an hours cardio in the gym this aft.

I've lost 3lb this week and 1 inch off my bum, yay!!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 14/01/2014 17:35

Well I'm going to have another day off to let my knee recover. Might do a bit of other exercise that is not so knee-intensive though. Hopefully back to shredding again tomorrow, depending how it feels!

lobsterkiller · 14/01/2014 19:19

Well done everyone!

I've done day 10 level 1, I am beyond rubbish at push ups I can follow Natalie on all of level 1 bar the bloody push ups.Grrrr

LakeFlyPie · 14/01/2014 20:08

L1 D9 done, it's certainly not easy but definitely feeling stronger, cardio still difficult but better than 7-10 days ago. Caught sight of my bingo wings in the mirror whilst Shredding earlier and think they're flapping less.

PeppermintCream · 14/01/2014 20:09

So impressed with everyone's progress. I ate quite a lot of crap today (several meetings with lots of biscuits), guilt is also a motivator for me.

Just done L2D5 - it's getting easier on my arms but harder on my abs.

Lindt70Percent · 14/01/2014 20:11

Sounds like everyone's doing really well.

I've done L1D6 today. Have got to the point where I'm not scared of it and actually enjoying it although my pelvic floor is completely shot. Starting to get nervous about L2 now. I'll enjoy my last 4 days of L1. Having flashbacks to L2 last time and think it started off with moving push ups or planks. Must not think about it!

JRmumma · 14/01/2014 20:47

L1D9 done here! One more day till L2! Gonna go straight through till Friday with no rest this week, but im having the weekend off as im super busy both days.

Not sure if ive seen any body changes but my fitness has improved. I'm going by weight though and haven't weighed myself yet, but will do on Thurs before i start L2. Hoping to have lost a couple of pounds.

tanukiton · 15/01/2014 04:46

d12 l2 d4. completed using 1kg weights bountyicecream and officelady thankyou! Really helps keep me motivated.
And thankyou to everyone for posting good to know there are others out there.
I have drop from 67kg to 65Kg. I didn't take the before measurements but am definitely shrinking round the middle :)

spinningirl10 · 15/01/2014 07:18

D6 L1 done.

I might move up to level 2 tomorrow!

WillColbert · 15/01/2014 09:47

L1D7 of Ri30 done. Great to see so many people sticking with it on this thread.

Tiredemma · 15/01/2014 09:56

I started 30 day shred last week (Jan 6th) and did it every day except for Friday. Weighed myself on monday and lost 3lbs (had been dieting also though).

Did level 2 on monday night and was ok- but really struggled last night so im going to go back and do level again for a few more days- especially to strengthen my upper body as im useless at the 'plank' exercises.

I have lost a considerable amount of 'chub' from around my C Section overhang- so am I am really pleased with the results so far

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 10:00

L1D8, plus 3x50 sec forearm planks, 3x17 inclined press-ups and then 3x1 min extended-arm planks, using dumbells as handles to avoid wrist strain ... I'm going to need my wrists for the other levels of shred!

Yes, I thought January would be busy, but its great to see so many people not just starting but continuing - half way through the month I don't think we've too much attrition! Smile

Ah, did someone mention pelvic floors - feel free folks to drop a CLENCH into your posts on this thread to remind us all - also on some of the moves where Jillian says 'squeeze' (eg chest flies) you can do a bit there. Every little helps!

Tiredemma · 15/01/2014 10:02

and NO PHONING IT IN!

msmoss · 15/01/2014 11:34

Yay to disappearing bingo wings! Also really impressed with everyone keeping on going and doing other exercise too.

L2D14 done! My word this level is hard on the shoulders, still swapping out the plank jacks as my shoulders just won't have it after those v-fly things and military presses, but now doing power jacks instead of just jumping jacks.

Definitely feel tighter, although actually feel a bit less cardio fit as I haven't been for a proper run since before Christmas, partly lack of time and partly just me being a fair weather runner Smile

Only two more days of L2, am going to watch L3 over the weekend although I may not have time to get it done so likely that I'll end up having another two rest days.

DayAfterYesterday · 15/01/2014 12:15

I'm about to do day 3, do you think it will matter if I switched the levels up? I don't find level 1 all that challenging and think I will be bored before 10 days are up but I remember level 2 was a killer, not sure if it will effect progress though I really maximum loss quickly

Tiredemma · 15/01/2014 12:35

dayafteryesterday- I was exactly the same so jumped up to level 2 after 6 days at level 1. First day I was ok but last night I struggled so im going to pop back down to level 1 tonight.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 12:36

DAY - well, why don't you suck it and see? If L1 is easy for you (Envy) but L2 is hard maybe you could alternate them - L1 'natalie' with L2'anita' maybe to start with?

DayAfterYesterday · 15/01/2014 14:06

I decided to stick to level 1 today and done 30 mins davina too, exhausted now. Im going to do level 2 tomorrow but just that as its harder just to mix it up a little

I think the only reason im finding it easier is because I did the whole shred a few months ago I must still be holding onto a little of that fitness the first time round I struggled with level 1 alot

SallyFinkelstein · 15/01/2014 14:36

Everyone is doing amazingly. It's a fantastic motivator for me, I don't want to lag behind and have no excuse as so many are making time for it.

Tiredemma I must admit to being a little Envy of your disappearing c-section overhang. Mine hasn't shifted at all yet. I have hope though, got almost rid of it entirely a couple of years ago by doing Pilates a few times a week but then went and had another section (and baby!) just over a year ago and it's all back again.

I finally did L1D7, only took a couple of years and three or four attempts! It was easier than it has been, probably because I haven't find it since Monday morning. Plan is to do it tomorrow and Friday (hopefully at 6am) and switch Sundays rest day to Saturday. But we'll see how that goes!

spinningirl10 · 15/01/2014 14:41

I'm just recording JM Killer Buns and Thighs from Sky Fitness thats my problem area!!!

Think I might do this in the morning and then alternate between this and 30DS!

msmoss · 15/01/2014 15:45

JM is on sky fitness, will have to check that out, what channel is it?

On a slightly off topic note, Errolthedragon how did you get that hovering thing over your username? I've never noticed anyone else with one, but then I'm not usually on a proper computer.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 16:28

mrsmoss - go to your profile (My Profile under My Mumsnet in the top RHS on a PC), its the 'User Status'

Well done Sally! You're over the worst, now just keep going.

spinningirl10 · 15/01/2014 16:38

MsMoss....it's channel 282Grin

spinningirl10 · 15/01/2014 16:40

Just checked out 'buns and thighs' looks like a killer! Going to do it in the morning Grin
