Garmin watch thingy for running

I may have posted about this before, ages ago, but does anyone have one of these for running? And if so would you recommend it? I have tried various apps but find them annoying and inaccurate. Also I think I'd find a watch easier to look at while running.

that's why I want the purple 220, most of my running stuff is orange and they make one of the best combinations I think

the FR10 only has a 5 hour training life though, I really wish I'd known this when I got mine

Only 5 hours? Oh no - I never run for fewer than 7 . I think I'll manage...

I went for lime green for my Forerunner 10 .

oi, you might want to do a marathon and be slow like me - it could easily take me 5 hours or more SAD BUT TRUE

on garmin connect just look under explore then people (I think), I didn't have the sense to make up a nickname because I thought it was only for me and my helpful coach/guru/friend but can exchange details by pm maybe? or if you explore groups and find UKMFP there should be a few - you just have to set your thing to share details with your connections and groups

Could we set up a Mumsnet runners group or can't you make your own groups?

not that I understand what the groups even do, there's no chat for example but you can 'like' or comment on one another's activities which is not all that thrilling

think it might help with accountability maybe?

Will check it out. Just did my first run with it, in the grim drizzly rain. Worked great. Mitchy1nge, you can't be as slow as me! I would never be able to do a marathon, unless I walked it!

Oh how fab! I haven't got mine yet as I spent some of my Christmas money on crochet stuff! But I'm saving up so when I get one I'll join the mn group

I have my privacy setting such that my groups can see my profile and my groups & connections can see my activities...I think my stuff should be showing up?
