I became I follower of The Shred in June. My reasons are below. Share yours and let's shred together! I lost 5lbs my first week combining the DVD with WW.

I'm a size 16-18, 13st5lbs, 5'8", flabby, wobbly, unfit and desperate to shift the back fat that's making my new correctly sized bra lumpy.

I want my toddler to stop burying her face in my fat belly and blowing raspberries that make my boobs jiggle.

I want my DH to comment my nice arse again.

I want my double chin to melt away.

I want to walk up 5 flights of stairs without lactic acid burning my thighs and being out of breath.

I'm not going to stop until I'm size 12, under 11st and feel like I love my body again. I've hated my body for the last 13 years and I want to look in the mirror and feel good.

Shred is phase one. If I have to do all of Jillian's programmes then so be it.

Oh MrsB tut tut Grin

Sounds lovely Grimma Smile

HellesBelles some days are easier than others, you should've seen me this morning, over balancing all over the place, not my finest moment!

Oh and BTW I'm sure if Jillian and her best girls had to workout in my 30 degree sitting room rather than an air conditioned studio, they would be sweaty and red in the face too (still trying to come to terms with what a state I'm in after)

NoelHeadbands · 22/07/2013 19:17

Well done shredders

L3D3 done. Can't believe I've actually made it this far, I'm usually such an exercisephobe

mrstalbear · 23/07/2013 08:55

L1D7 done! feel so much better to be exercising regularly again!

keep it going everyone Smile

mrstalbear · 23/07/2013 09:01

oh bugger, just realised I have to start L2 tomorrow!

mrstalbear · 23/07/2013 09:07

ah, relief! don't go to L2 for another 3 days!

smiles and wiggles fat backside further into sofa

GrimmaTheNome · 23/07/2013 09:51

Day 25 done - 5/6ths of the way!

HellesBelles396 · 23/07/2013 09:55

L1D3 and the wobbling has begun. Really struggled to keep my balance during lunges.

GrimmaTheNome · 23/07/2013 10:00

Do them slower. Or maybe you could do them next to a chair so there was something to grab for balance? (not sure if that would work - I did that for the leg raise in L2 once I'd realised I couldn't do the military presses at the same time anyway)

IWillDoItInAMinute · 23/07/2013 11:55

L2 D8 done too exhausted to type !!

Great work everyone Smile

Grimma and Noel you've nearly done

Envy Sad Grin

L2 D1..What is this madness!? When it started I was thinking 'ahh this isn't that bad!' until all the plank exercises started.

mrstalbear · 23/07/2013 13:10

Shock Illustrated

covering ears, not listening!

still in L1 ignorance Grin

NoelHeadbands · 23/07/2013 13:39

Grimma and Noel you've nearly done

Yup, that six pack has 6 days left to make an appearance Grin

OverAndAbove · 23/07/2013 16:03

I've had a ten day heat wave break but am now back on it. Did level 2 days 3,4 and 5 the last three mornings. I just end up a sweaty dripping mess at the end, but I am hoping it will be worth it. I think my legs might be toningup. Belly still very wobbly though. I am so sick of it!

IWillDoItInAMinute · 23/07/2013 19:31

overandabove me too!

My legs and arms are definitely more toned, but my tum/bum/hips are still wobbly. I'm hoping that whatever Hell Jillian has for me in level 3 will tone these areas up Grin

Well done for not giving up !!

mrstalbear · 24/07/2013 09:23

L1D8 done here, blimey it's hot today!

GrimmaTheNome · 24/07/2013 09:36

Day 26 done.

I still can't do press ups properly, even from the knee. I do a bit of a dip and then if I try to go further I end up with my face on the carpet. I really want to be able to, as push-ups are one of the exercises that if you can do them you can do anywhere anytime without kit.

HellesBelles396IsDeeplyUncool · 24/07/2013 10:47

L1D4 done with no stiffness or aching but huge levels of weariness. Feeling good now it's over though :) I am think that I am working harder each day trying to go deeper and wider into the movements but my upper body strength is appalling. Just totally non-existant. Not for much longer though!!

Glad to see some progress in terms of feeling better able to do the exercises. Despite 5:2 for two weeks and now this for 4 days, I haven't lost even half an inch of my waist - that and fat proportion of weight are my key indicators for getting healthier so I'm a little dispirited. Passing a boots today so will nip in and check my fat percentage. Fingers crossed.

IWillDoItInAMinute · 24/07/2013 12:21

HellesBelles don't be dispirited !!! I have only just noticed a real difference, it'll come, just keep up the great work and you will notice a change Smile

My upper body strength is appalling -and lack of coordination-. This morning DS was showing me how strong he is (he's 6) using my weights. Of course by the time I came to shred they had vanished and I had to use heavier ones Shock it was painful

I can't do a proper push up either, but I live in hope

IWillDoItInAMinute · 24/07/2013 12:24

One more day of L2. - yikes

NoelHeadbands · 24/07/2013 13:27

Well done everyone- Grimma you are nearly home and dry! Are you going to carry on?

I'm another who can't do a proper press up. I'm almost there with a 'knees' one, but not quite

GrimmaTheNome · 24/07/2013 15:36

As opposed to home and dripping with sweat Grin

I think after day 30 I'll cycle through the different levels for the few days before I go on holiday. Then when I come back, not sure if I'll carry on doing that or try something else - anyone got any recommendations? Arms and abs are what I need most - plus cardio...might try a bit of running if the canal towpath is still dry and if this stupid toenail will allow me to wear trainers by then. Are you planning on anything Noel - you're pretty near the end too.

NoelHeadbands · 24/07/2013 16:05

Well I'm on week 3 of the couch to 5k thing so I'm going to continue with that. And repeat the shred a couple of times I think?

GrimmaTheNome · 24/07/2013 16:30

doing c25k at the same time is masachoistic impressive.

NoelHeadbands · 24/07/2013 16:36

Operation Bikini Bod you see Grin

Illustrated · 24/07/2013 16:48

Bloody hell I don't think I could hack doing more exercise on top of this! You must be very fit.

L2D2 I will be very pleased if I ever manage to do this level without having to take a few seconds break here and there. I cant imagine how hard level 3 is. I was taking some more pictures to compare to when I first started and I am liking my bum for the first time in agers! I feel like strutting around in my pants for the rest of the day now.
