Would anyone like to join me doing the squat challenge?

I've just started the squat challenge tonight. The aim is in 30 days to get you doing 250 squats. Anyone else up for it? I did the first 50 today, didn't realise it would be so hard, but then, I am unfit Grin

Day 1 - 50 squats
Day 2 - 55 squats
Day 3- 60 squats
Day 4 - Rest
Day 5 - 70 squats
Day 6 - 75 squats
Day 7 - 80 squats
Day 8 - Rest
Day 9- 100 squats
Day 10 - 105 squats
Day 11 - 110 squats
Day 12 - Rest
Day 13 - 130 squats
Day 14 - 135 squats
Day 15 - 140 squats
Day 16 - Rest
Day 17 - 150 squats
Day 18 - 155 squats
Day 19 - 160 squats
Day 20 - Rest
Day 21 - 180 squats
Day 22 - 185 squats
Day 23 - 190 squats
Day 24 - Rest
Day 25 - 220 squats
Day 26 - 225 squats
Day 27 - 230 squats
Day 28 - Rest
Day 29 - 240 squats
Day 30 - 250 squats

My goodness, Wibbly, well done! When are you going to peak as it were?!

Just done 110 squats, 110 dips, now some resistance stuff and Pilates stretches. Phew.

Morning Sal!

The main aim was to get up to 250, so I think I've peaked this morning. When I go back to work, I'll probably have to split them into a morning and evening session of 125 each.

A rest day for me, but I've just looked at the numbers again and I've jumped ahead a bit Shock

I did 50, 60, then 70 on my first 3 days.

Should I just start at 80 tomorrow & push on? Don't suppose there's any point NOT doing that unless anyone advises differently?

I'd go for the 80. You know you can get up to that number, so no sense in going backwards Grin

My trainer advised doing the 30 day squat challenge with burpees instead of squats to tone the whole body and increase fitness.

I knew I'd heard of it from MN but had no idea how many squats/burpees you were supposed to do. I assumed you'd do 1 on day 1, 2 on day 2, 3 on day 3....

50 burpees in a row mwhahahahahaha

Squats I can manage. I might join in when my cold buggers off.

Did my first 50. Not to bad but I have been doing 20 mins aerobics every day for last few months.

I used to be able to burpees in my dim & distant past.

I would definitely fall over after 1 or 2 now though.

I am giving the squats a miss today. I did my first 5k run yesterday night (1 hour!) so am feeling it today. Going up and down stairs is certainly interesting today Grin

My knees & pelvic floor are not what they were Hmm

However, 115 squats & dips completed

Hi, I'm still here. Not been doing the squats thoughSad . Tomorrow is another day, and I will do 250. The running side of things has taken over, but it's no excuse to stop squatting Grin

Am on day 13 and it is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard Grin (and I haven't even done it properly).

Yes. Am varying a bit now though- plie squats, slow squats, fast ones, with weights etc otherwise body gets used yo it. .think its a great psychological exercise and quick fix but not sustainable in longterm. Got to 150 dips and 150 squats now incorporating into a balanced weight resistance training

I also started a 30 Day Tricep Dip Challenge on Friday. Today'a a rest day from that. Smile

Anyone feeling/looking better for the squat challenge? Also is it OK to split them into sets or should they be done all at once?
