It's alright ladies, it weren't all doom and gloom, they're at least good looking gingers so DH and I decided they were at least worth keeping. Fortunately I have one blonde who is the only one who is similar to me. She's the favourite and the other two are only useful for child tax credit and benefit reasons.

I love ginger hair! DH's nephews are both ginger, very pale colour though I guess strawberry blonde. DH is fair, but if he grows facial hair he gets a little ginger minge beard! We have ds1 blonde, ds2 mid brown, ds3 dark blonde. Ds2 is the funniest, he's getting lighter - at birth he had this shock of thick black hair - he looked like Phil Spector!

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 21:45

backward case of pot calling kettle black on the speeds, missus...hope application goes well

I love red hair - there's a little boy at DD's nursery with flaming red hair - I asked her what colour it was, 'orange', says she...(he is on the carrotty end)

cherry it's your day, pick the dress that you really really want (I got hitched in a very gorgeous Karen Millen suit...I still love it and it makes me happy every time once in a blue moon I wear it)

fanny god, how boring is that thread? yawn

fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 21:46

Just a quickie, manic here, but had to check in on me gals Smile

Our 9 yr old niece was admitted to hospital last night with pneumonia so its benn all hands on helping with looking after our nephew and their dog. Work today, dog walks, across town to do hospital visit, back across town for ds cubs (he was invested tonight), home, tea and now am pooped. D niece is improving bless her, god bless IV antis b's, poor kid.

In other news, the garmin survived, luckily for dh. I am already lining up a perspective dh number 2 just incase he does it again Grin

Apols it's all about me. Will read more tomorrow. Did pick up that peach has piles. Oh dear. I had them. In fact, still have the odd one that pops out everynow and again. Nice.

Oh, also managed a 5.3 mile steady run with dh. Average pace 9m/m.

fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 21:47

DrNo thank fuck for that. I was getting desperately worried. Lucky DH hey? Bet you his arse been clacking all day and he's probably got 100 different Garmins on his watch list.

fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 21:50

Watch list on eBay NOT a tick tock watch list. Grin

"the odd one that pops out every now and again..." Grin Glad your little niece is on the mend DrNo. Thank goodness for a great NHS.

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:10

Dr No glad that niece is improving - it makes you realise what antibiotics are really for, doesn't it?

fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 22:11

Gosh yes, in my dire straits re your Garmin I totally overlooked your poorly niece DrNo Blush. Hope she's ok.

OP posts:
monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 22:16

drN you talk about Percy Pile almost fondly ....

Hope your niece improves and feels better soon.

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 22:19

drno hope your niece continues to improve. Thank god for antibiotics. Also glad to hear the garmin's OK.

I was born with bright red hair, but in the end only the little bit at the front stayed red. Actually am a bit gutted, it would have been great to have real flame red hair. Certainly more interesting than mouse...

I'm off to google what piles actually are (will probably regret this)

rhet I want to do what you're doing with the HRM. I have HRM envy.

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:27

sticky it's really really easy - just work out your max heart rate and resting heart rate and then run your numbers through my excel sheet (ha ha ha). Seriously - I'm simply doing a couple of months running at

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:28

ps on the spod theme, I'm afraid that I actually do have an excel sheet for calculating heart rate % Blush for someone who works with words I sure do like numbers

fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 22:29

rhet I'm going to borrow my chum's HRM and see how unfit I really am.

Oh there's a Shred thread where someone's asking what Shredding is. . I've jumped on. This may be a farewell from me, I have fresh meat to be evil to.

OP posts:
stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 22:30

no no no, I lurve excel spreadsheets. I only found out about them when I started being an accountant. It was an epiphany.

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 22:31

don't go fanny!
::throws herself across the room and holds grimly onto fannys' ankles::

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:31

fanny noooo, don't go

you have to post your ave HR and max HR along with your paces

fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 22:33

Calm down, calm down!! How funny, you two posted very similar posts! Grin. I'll stay but only if you do me a spreadsheet rhet. I'm allergic to anything that isn't on Safari or Firefox.

OP posts:
stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 22:33

rhet we appear to be holding onto Fanny's legs together. Shall we just take a leg each?

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:35

well I did the spreadsheet and I am shit at them, so anyone who can type numbers and press enter can use it -

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:35

left or right?

rhetorician · 24/11/2011 22:35

that'll slow her down, for sure!
