Quickie for bonkers - jojomamanbebe for scooter. I have a 15% off code somewhere brings it down to 43 I think. Will try and find it.

futurity · 24/11/2011 16:14

am still reading and laughing along to this thread..life getting in the way of posting. No running done since Saturday as have annoying cold ..do feel a bit better so will go to running club tonight. This week was meant to be week 1 of my half marathon training but not really working out!

MoshiMoshi · 24/11/2011 16:16

Running on the G Trainer today. Ankle much improved. 2 hours covering 14.73M. Av pace 8:13m/m. Will catch up later. Birthday prep madness with DD2 turning 5 next week and DS1 has two parties for three girls this weekend. Rock'n'roll my life is, ladies.

MoshiMoshi · 24/11/2011 16:17

Sorry DD1 not DS1. He'd hate girls' parties Grin.

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 16:39

it's very worrying, the lack of status report on Drno's garmin. I fear the worst :(

Yes, it's wuthering up here. Blasted trees leaving their blasted leaves all over the garden Angry Why do they do that every year?

Todays target: 6 miles easy. Achieved, 6 miles, 1:01.

Had a Confused moment when I though sfx had worn her deep red dress at her wedding in a gym. That, I though, is dedication.

Wheelybug · 24/11/2011 16:58

Bonkers - code for jojo is MTF12.

MrsWednesday · 24/11/2011 17:18

I also got married in red (thread full of scarlet women obviously)...and it would go with your name Cherry Wink

Gym session sounds fab if exhausting. Am shredding again tonight (level 1 wussy) but am aching a lot a bit.

Congrats on bargain trainers Bonkers

Me and DS1 are attempting to pop corn for the first time (also rock n' roll lifestyle) so I'd better go and concentrate.

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 17:46

Just to buck the trend, I got married in ivory! But was a November wedding, so I had deep red and cream roses in my bouquet, together with lots of greenery and those little red berries I can never remember the name of.

No shred for me today, did my outdoor circuit class which was chilly but fun. Ds3 was really funny, he paces around with the trainer blowing his whistle and shouting "great job" or "keep it going" as he sees fit Smile.

What kind of coffee machine rhet? Am thinking of treating myself DH for Christmas.

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 17:48

Oh and on a separate note - 20 years since Freddie Mercury died! Love a bit of Freddie. Just had the boys watching Queen at Live Aid, what an amazing, amazing performance. Gone too soon Sad.

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 17:51

20 years! Amazing. How old was Freddie when he died?

I must admit, lots of the Queen tracks make me want to jab my eyes out with a blunt pencil - but "Don't stop me now" is brilliant exercising music.

God I feel old.

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 18:04

Only in his 40s, not sure exactly.

Wink
fannybanjo · 24/11/2011 18:14

I think this must be the most laughable of all the wedding dress colours... I got married in white. BlushGrin

sfxmum · 24/11/2011 18:14

bonkers bargain! does anyone know where I can find some Brooks adrenaline cheap?

random Queen related thingy, was watching some singer person at Festival (Newton Faulkner odd very odd following he has) leading a sing along of Bohemian Rhapsody it was actually fun even if I am not exactly a Queen fan
and I am old enough to remember Live Aid, Bono with a mullet, Phil Collins still polluting the airwaves...

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 18:15

:( Can I be reinstated if I give you my best rendition of "the Ace of Spades"?

Actually, more likely to be reinstated if I don't

backwardLFDTpossom · 24/11/2011 18:17

He was 45 when he died, can't believe it's been 20 years. :(

This job is stressing me out already and I haven't even applied for it yet. I need it so much. I have to get this job. Please please please please...

Running club tonight, bit of mad tempo running I suspect. Could be interesting. Will take my mind off the job application.

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 18:19

Was it like a retrospective fanny? Wink

Oh Phil Collins Confused I remember the 80s with rose-coloured specs (like when the Joshua Tree came out, that was a good moment) - and forget the hideousness. Til sfx reminds me of course Angry

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 18:20

oh backward :( - when do you have to have the application in by? Sounds like you need to run!

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 18:20

sfx I just googled the name and model I wanted (Adrenaline 8) then had to wade through the sites to find who had my size - got mine from M and M Direct for £17.99! Unfortunately they tend to only have the very small (up to 4.5) or very large (8-10) sizes, but they delivered very quickly and I was impressed with the price. Might just order myself some more now!

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 18:26

Hmm, dunno sticky - maybe if you shout

"WE ARE MOTORHEAD AND WE PLAY FUCKING ROCK AND ROLL!!"

beforehand Smile.

Must show you my picture of me and DH's two enormous nephews while we were waiting to go in, I honestly look like a midget hired for the event.

fanny - was it a meringue though? A big white fluffy meringue? My cousin's wife got married in one of those, it was brilliant - she had this massive foofy headdress/veil thing and a huge poodle perm. Actually not unlike Terry off Brookside Wink!

backward I will be keeping all available extremities crossed for you - when will you know?

stickyLFDTfingers · 24/11/2011 18:35

oh, I'm always shouting that, anyway, monkey. Helps DD2 identify me when I pick her up from school.

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 18:37
sfxmum · 24/11/2011 18:39

possum do a couple of drafts leave, return, write it up and post/email
good luck

sticky apologies, the 80's had a lot of good music and some monstrosities too

monkey I am a very average 7. 71/2 rarely do I find discounts

fanny go on do tell was it a meringue? I need to know

I seldom go to weddings, the last one I attended took 2 yrs to plan and was over in less 6 months Shock

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 18:46

Who mentioned The Joshua Tree? That was like U2 watched Spinal Tap and didn't realise it was a joke.

DP of one of DH's work colleagues saw U2 play at Bracknell Leisure Centre in (I think) 1982 before Bono disappeared up his own arse.

monkeyLFDTwench · 24/11/2011 18:51

Oh not the Joshua Tree, you know what I mean - the rockumentary. I went to see it with my first proper boyfriend Hmm shortly before he dumped me.

sfxmum · 24/11/2011 18:55

monkey you mean Achtung Baby and Rattle and Hum
The Joshua Tree was not too bad considering
