Fuckety fuckety fuck Turned ankle over when running today so had to abort before I got into the faster miles. Was looking forward to doing 4x 1M (6:50, 6:40, 6:30, 6:20 pace) w/2:30 recoveries.

Rhet with DS2, I woke at midnight with sharp pains at the top of both hips. They died down and came back at exactly 5 minute intervals. no mild contractions for days in this case. Fretted about going into hospital in case not in labour. Got there at 2.30am only to discover was 8cm dilated. Bargain!

Still knackered but now lunchtime then need to go out to buy DS2 a brthday cake. He made himself a little "I am 11" badge this morning!

Good job I did a trial drive I got lost. Loads of roads with no name posts on them . Anyway think I now know where I'm going but it seems so much further when you don't know where you are going

I felt a bit if achilles pain last night but seems to have abated so panic over. Did a drill sesh last night and teh coach said I should aim to do the same 10k next year and do it in 45 mins He said this is achievable.....

drNo because i let her put the toys away rather than making her leave...I thought it was a reasonable principle to observe - that tidying away is important? achilles - not a good niggle to have - maybe back off the mileage or intensity for a couple of weeks (it's always an overuse injury) - better than being sidelined for months on end. 45 min 10k - wow! you are an inspiration, given that you only started seriously a few years back. Great stuff.

Quick catch up as am knackered. Was in the car at 7.30 am to get ds1 to school, got on M1 to Watford to find huge tailbacks due to fog and accidents. After ducking and diving down the completely snarled up back roads, I screeched into the hospital at 9.55. By some miracle I found a parking space (only £4! ) and we got in at 10, but I tell you I had steam coming out of my ears. Two hours to go 16 miles!

Appointment went really well but ds2 will have to go in for an endoscopy. Got him to school for lunch, and will be leaving soon to pick up!

DrNo and wheely I have in my clutches two black headbands freshly purchased from the Den of Doom and they only had S/M and L/XL left so I got S/M as to be honest, they are huge anyway. So PM me your details, I don't think they'll cost more than £2 to post so £5 will cover it. I wouldn't usually be bothered about reimbursement but I'm a bit skint. I'll post them tomorrow!!

Day of ironing tomorrow ladies. Twat that I am. I may throw caution to the wind and just iron the front of clothes . Going to do recovery run soon then DD got harriers. Chuffed as she loves it. DD3 fallen asleep on the kitchen table! I've took a pic, I'll have to put it on, so cute.

DrNo can you use your hotel contacts to find out when the Rugby League Magic Weekend is next year? It's been announced as being in Manchester at the Etihad stadium but they've not announced yet when it is and I want to know so I can book a hotel before the prices go sky high. They're announcing it on Friday but if you tell me now I promise not to tell!
I've guessed at it being the bank holiday weekend at the start of June and have already booked a hotel as there was no cancellation fee but I'm stressing about it being the wrong weekend and having to pay hundreds for a room!

OMG that dog clip! My dog did that to me last winter I'm the school car park - slipped out of the boot and sprinted for the fields with me running ineffectually behind him. Since he can do 45 mph (about 40 more than me) I had no hope.

He took himself off on an hour long excursion of the surrounding fields, shitting merrily away to his hearts content, leaving me to be shouted at by the barking mad lady who lives next to the school about pheasants (wtf?)

He finally came back when it got dark and cold and started raining. I had to drive home covered in mud head to foot - looked like I'd done a commando course.

debi we have a hotel in Manchester, I will ask the sales manager tomorrow, there is a possibility they might know!

Ds didn't give this girl his note, he said it wasn't the right time. He got a yellow card of his teacher for 'continually chatting and disrupting the class' so he wasn't in the right mood apparently Not sure where he gets the chattiness from....

rhet no achilles soreness today, just a stiff neck oddly enough. Hill sesh tonight at running club so that should test it, then a well earned rest for me tomorrow. Ignore silly woman saying you are too soft, sometimes if you wait for toddlers to tidy up after themselves you'd be there till Christmas.

I ran for Brainwave - my work nominated charity so I had to wear a big, baggy, non technical tshirt, my mate knotted hers to make it look more stylish, something I will do in the future.........

Dd2's nursery. I told dd1 I watched tv and she called lazy.... I did point out I did 5k at same time!|

Just finished making rocky road for PTA shopping evening tomorrow and a dairy free choc brownie for a friends birthday. Just need to work out what to do instead of the cream cheese frosting ........

rhet Im sure you're over it by now, but don't take any of it to heart re DD. They go through that stage (I remember being panic stricken - what if she's running over the edge of a cliff and she doesn't stop when I tell her ). LIke you say, pick your battles. All will be well.

So, I have an interview! Friend from old firm tells me her new firm is looking for someone like me :) As an added bonus, interview's not til January so don't have to worry about it interfering with Christmas. Yay!

Glad you got there ok monkey. Will it be a long wait for endoscopy? I had loads of them as a kid, and as an adult. Never had a problem, I always thought it was great to have time off school.
