Ah orange you and I were separated at birth... (pin heads)

OP posts:
Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 22:47

Good luck tomorrow monkey !

Are you calling me a fathead pinhead Fanny ? This fathead would prefer black but pink and black would be fine. I used to hate pink but almost 7 years of dds has desensitised me and much of my running stuff has pink tinges.

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 22:50

Fellow fathead reporting for duty!

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 22:51

Tis ok wheely I have tits like a Scream mask, a fathead would be preferable. I'm on Headband Watch, need a challenge seen as Cockwatch was such a letdown.

Good luck for the appointment and journey tomorrow monkey.
fanny consultant said it had no bearing on intelligence, so we ok there with are petite heads

Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 22:56

Yes but we know that's not true orange Wink

Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 22:57

Am struggling to picture tits like a scream mask ....

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 22:57

Kind of drooped and scary.

backwardLFDTpossom · 21/11/2011 23:11

Good luck tomorrow, monkey :)

Raaar to US red tape - my friend got sent home from the US about 3 hours after landing due to a tiny error meaning her visa got refused. Total crap as it means she can't reapply for a new one for X number of years...

peach fab rave birth report. I had a similar experience to your first with DS, but have been advised to have a ELCS next time. How I wish I could have a birth like you did with Kate. She sounds like a lovely wee lass, enjoy :)

peachLFDTsmuggler · 21/11/2011 23:11

Oh god, DD1 has a massive napper (Look at that thing, it's like Sputnik!!). They said that's why she was late to sit up, stand up, and walk! Obviously hauling it around was too much effort! Weird, as I have a "normal" sized head (preens) and DP is rocking the pin head look.

sfx, the head bit was fine. I think cos I knew it was all nearly over it was strangely not too sore. Felt kind of euphoric actually. Maybe that was the lovely G&A... Grin

moshi, I kept trying to think of the hypnobirthing CD, but then the pain (excuse me, discomfort) of the contractions took over. I did keep trying to think of them as positive things though that were taking me towards meeting my baby. Hope you have escaped Embassy hell!!

monkey, your DH does sound funny, get him on YouTube, he'll be an Internet sensation.

Having slept all day again we have literally just got into bed and Kate is waking up. How does she do it!?! Smile

peachLFDTsmuggler · 21/11/2011 23:13

Oh, and good luck monkey, with the appointment.

liath · 21/11/2011 23:16

Great birth story, Peach, well done. I enjoyed reading the race reports, too - really inspiring for a novice like me.

PMSL at Monkey's DH. And talking of DH's in inappropriate clothing my DH is planning on running the Deerstalker in this www.amazon.co.uk/Ninja-Morphsuit-Adult-Height-Between/dp/B005DQ1WYE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321917187&sr=8-1.

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 23:35

peach I think we can spare the world the sight of DH's flapping nutsacks ......

Speaking of strange, ds1 came out with a great one yesterday. He was playing Trivial Pursuit with DH and was asked the question who was the owner of the winner of the 1977 St Leger Cup? (it was something like that). Guessing it must be the Queen I tried to give him a clue and said it must be the most famous woman in the world. His answer?

Katy Perry.

ibbydibby · 22/11/2011 06:09

Monkey good luck with appt today, and well done to your DS1 for trivial pursuit answer.....

Peach great birth story. Like you, birth of DS2 (11 years ago today!!) was a doddle compared to DS1, so much less stressful.

Ange well done in Southwold, am tempted to sign up for this next year.

DrNo fab time, have you set yourself a new target for 2012?

Fanny fab time also, great that you have maintained your previous HM time.

Rhet, how is DP?

Up early this morning as missed running club last night, as at school meeting. So running at 6.30am with DH "running boys". They go at 6.30am 4 mornings a week. Why, why, why did I say I would do it. DH still snuggled up in bed and I am not.

bonkersLFDT20 · 22/11/2011 06:39

Liath oooooh, does your DH have the body to suit that Ninja outfit? Yummy!

bonkersLFDT20 · 22/11/2011 06:42

Good luck Monkey. I am not sure what would stress me out more...the journey or the appointment!

liath · 22/11/2011 07:47

Sadly not, Bonkers. He's hoping to lose weight by training for the run. However it's chucking down this morning so not sure how keen he'll be to accompany me on a hill rep session. Poor bugger was very ill last year and all the medication he's had to take has caused a lot of weight gain.

liath · 22/11/2011 07:48

Did you have fun with the running boys, Ibbydibby?

WishIwasCherryMenlove · 22/11/2011 07:51

Monkey hope your hospital trip goes ok, both appointment and traffic!
Ugh Watford hospital, still haven't got over having to stay on postnatal ward

I have been back at work a year today. Already in office. Time flies when you're having fun!

orangeLFDThead · 22/11/2011 09:49

How is the toe today moshi?
Hope you enjoyed the run with the boys Ibbydibby
Hope everthing goes well monkey. I once had a hospital appt at st marys paddington, I was 3 hours late as coming from manchester way and the motorway was a nightmare. I kept ringing them to keep them informed (I was not driving) and they kept saying thats fine just get here when you can and they still saw me despite being 3 hours late. For the second appt we come down the night before and stayed in a hotel.
My plan tomorrow was to drive to where the race is and run 9 miles of the route then just walk the last mile back to the car. But I looked at the route last night and it is very complicated, alot of going on smaller roads. If run it I would have to write all the directions on my arm and see me getting lost. Im a bit disappointed. So I have sort of adapted the route so it more straightforward covering the main bulk of it and hopefully the same hills. So I'm now off to drive it in preparation for tomorrow. Was supposed to be doing housework. But what the hell the dinner is in the slow cooker thehouse will have to stay a mess as I need to know where I am runing tomorrow [orangehead getting priorities right]

sfxmum · 22/11/2011 09:57

orange sounds like a plan, housework will still be there and no one is in danger if you don't do it, have a good run

monkey best of luck

moshi hope you are winning the war on bureaucracy

my paperwork is often out of date simply because I loathe going to my consulate, they are most incompetent, rude bunch of bastards imaginable, they seem to run a racket in there, they are loathsome. if there is one think uniting the expat community is the hatred of that consulate

rhetorician · 22/11/2011 10:14

lovely day here, hoping to get out for a few miles later on. DP had mild contractions in the night, but they've gone away again now...I'd say thread baby no. 2 will be here within the week though :o

ibbydibby · 22/11/2011 10:28

Rhet how exciting.

Orange enjoy your drive. The housework will wait.

Knackered now as not used to early morning running. Met up with "running boys" (that's how DH refers to them). There are 4 of them, including DH, but one does not usually run on a Tuesday. So 3 of us today. Ran down my road in pitch black, head torch did not really help (though as one of running/rubbing boys pointed out later on, I had it angled incorrectly and it was pointing up at sky Blush. Anyway got to meeting place where other 2 were, and one of them said "mornin' " - that is how dark it is, they couldn't even see me. Did wonder if runnign gait or build would give the game away but maybe not at that time of the morning.

Anyway had a good run, sitting on the settee with laptop and headset, ready to do interactive student tutorial. Hoping that I don't nod off before it starts.

stickyLFDTfingers · 22/11/2011 10:46

rhet Grin I hope you're right, those last few days are always the longest. Please give your DP my love.

orange your priorities are definitely right! Housework definitely increases the more time you give to it, so don't give it much time, that's my advice!! I am the queen of the dash round the house in an hour approach :)

moshi sounds grim, hope that stage is over soon (I wonder do they sell hypnotherapy CD for dealing with that sort of pain and stress too?)

ibby love that you tried to light up the whole sky with your head torch! Good luck with the staying awake!

monkey hope you've made it to delightful Watford and are getting some useful advice.

Non running day today, so will be shredding (with my pitiful unweighty weights) before lunch. I'm still on a high since my run yesterday. Running is better than drugs :)

rhetorician · 22/11/2011 11:52

sticky yes - I know - lots of people seem to have mild contractions on and off for days with second babies...

I am full of cold and am tired after a bad night's sleep plus 14 miles of running Sun and Mon, so think I will not run today - but will run home from work tomorrow (the 14km route, probably)

I'd like to get to 200k in November - I've about 45 to go, but events may overtake my plans
