Lol monkey Grin

Cherry - can't advise on that garmin model sorry but you need mini micro scooter. Dd2 was whizzing on hers at that age. They're the ones with 2 wheels at front, 1 at back. I think the newer ones do fold up but ours dates from dd1 so doesn't. If they take to them scooters are great !

On that note, anyone who remembers my wafflings a while back I have just taken delivery of dd2's Christmas pressie, a bike. She is tiny and not yet 3 so I was trying to find a 10 inch (she wants pedals so. Balance bike was unfortunately not going to cut the mustard) one and I have eventually tracked it down. Can't wait to see her little face Grin

rhet great t see results, obviously working for you

rhetorician · 21/11/2011 21:02

cherry on the advice of the wise ladies on here, there is an orange micro-scooter sitting in the cupboard of doom cupboard under the stairs which is the baby's present to dd1...

futurity · 21/11/2011 21:19

cherry I have the 305 and use it for running and cycling. I think it is waterproof but I wouldn't wear it swimming as it is very chunky. I love it though and won't leave home without it (tragic!)

MoshiMoshi · 21/11/2011 21:23

A fab report peach and am delighted it went according to plan. Do you think the hypnotherapy was useful?

cherry - sounds about right for the money. The 310XT used to be the triathletes' choice but I think may have been superseded by the 610 since. Mine, the 405CX, cannot get wet which, considering I live (for now) in the UK, is a bad joke. But it had bezel issues and has been updated by a Better Version meaning you can get hold of 405CXs relatively cheaply now. The battery life on the 300 series is better I think though. I need to charge regularly or risk being bleeped at ("Low Battery!")

Spent the morning at the US Embassy battling red tape, of which there is much when dealing with US things. Hmm

MoshiMoshi · 21/11/2011 21:24

No rubbing today...

rhetorician · 21/11/2011 21:28

moshi american red tape is appalling (many years ago DP voluntarily surrendered a green card and every time she goes to the US she gets called into a small room by a scary looking person with a big gun) - I can't imagine how complex it gets when moving an entire family!

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 21:32

peach fantastic read that was, I was holding my breath at bit re taxi! Perfect birth and perfect baby. Smile. Can't believe you're still posting in here, trooper you are. Sooo when you rubbing again then....? Wink. Ouch to piles.

wheely I'll nip there tomorrow for you. I'll PM you when I get back and we can sort out fine details. IF by any chance they have assorted sizes - you a S/M or a M/L? If you're desperate and there's none left, I'll send you my older one for nowt.

rhet brilliant re knocking time off! What you think it is? Ignore woman calling you soft - better than calling you a bitch I suppose.

monkey Grin at DH's nuts escaping the cage! Gonna Shred this week and gonna rope DH into it too!

WishIwasCherryMenlove · 21/11/2011 21:33

Thanks all for Garmin and scooter advices.

Obviously the cunning part of the Garmin plan is that I get to borrow it Grin. Maybe the scooter too if I'm late for work.

Must delete my browsing history so nosy DP doesn't suspect!

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 21:34

Ladies all the way up the climb of The Orme yesterday, I kept thinking "ohhh if I had that Star Trek Garmin, I'd know if I was about to finish this fucking hill". Grin

Noshi Angry at Embassy. You all sorted?

rhetorician · 21/11/2011 21:50

only another minute or so to go and I'll be logging paces like your really really slow runs, fanny

RunningAllDay · 21/11/2011 21:50

Thanks rhet, will purchase tomorrow.

MoshiMoshi · 21/11/2011 22:03

Visa being processed fanny. Which is good as I am losing the will to live. This relocation process is killing me.

orangeLFDThead · 21/11/2011 22:09

peach thats sounds a fantastic birth, very positive. You did so well. I love race birth reports.
Well done on your run rhet
Grin monkey your husband sounds funny. I keep trying to talk dh into shredding or even better running but he won't have any of it. I think he would be a very good runner, very long legs. He power walks 4 miles to work 3 times a week and does it in just under 45 mins which is good going for walking.
Just got back from meeting for work where there was lots of scrumptious cakes that I could not resist, doh.

Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 22:09

Thanks fanny - hmm guess I'd be m/l probably. I have a big head !! Dd2 follows suit and the last time she was measures was 2nd centile for height, 9th for weight and 75th for head circumference (and that didn't include her mophead). It's amazing she can balance really Grin

Great time improvements rhet you must be chuffed. Do you put it down to the HRM training ? I have never used mine... Perhaps I should find it.

orangeLFDThead · 21/11/2011 22:19

wheely stupid hv referred ds2 to the hosital when he was little as he had a small head [scared us half to death]. As soon as we got there consultant took one look at me, measured my head and said I am not even on a centile line for head size as it so small so it was obviously hereditary and immediatedly discharged him.It was a very strange hospital appointment.

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 22:20

Oh wheely ds2 has a massive head and skinny body - he looks like a lollipop. When I had my scans his head circumference was literally off the scale and led them to believe he would be 12 lbs + which was a bit scary. He was only 9 lbs 10 oz after all that panic!

Dreading tomorrow's hospital trip with him, I have to get to Watford for 10 am after dropping ds1 at school in the opposite direction. For those unaware Watford is officially the arsehole of the universe with a ring road that makes me scream with rage and frustration at the best of times.

rhetorician · 21/11/2011 22:31

monkey good luck tomorrow

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 22:32

My friend the same Moshi - she's waiting for medicals before visas issued for her and kids. Very long drawn out process and like you, has 4 DC all under 10. Don't know how she does it. You'll be there soon enough, sprinting up those hills and sending us photos of sea lions at Fisherman's Wharf. Envy. I aim to do a SF trip with my friend next year (only £100 for my flight Grin).

wheely I'm a peahead which is as bad as a fathead. My 3 year old nephew's head measured more than mine! Blush And shoulders like a coat hanger too. I'll aim to get you a black one but they did have pink and black too, what would you prefer Madam? Anyone else want one while I'm there. I'll pick one up for DrNo too I think.

OP posts:
fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 22:33

Oh yes, monkey hope all goes well and if all fails, drive on the pavement. Wink

OP posts:
rhetorician · 21/11/2011 22:38

fanny giving great advice there, as always Wink

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 22:38

rhet I'm going to rob my friends HRM to give it a go, I'm sure you'll love my full velocity results!! Calm down, calm down you'll be saying.
