Last two links from me. The new redesign and MNs arbitrary thread deletions have done for me. Best of luck to all here.

Understandable DGR but I am sorry to see you go, I have appreciated and enjoyed your contributions and believe it or not, learned a lot from it.

pointythings · 21/04/2022 12:24

Sorry to see you go, DGR - your insights and humour will be missed. I do get where you are coming from, the new interface has more bugs than an insect hotel.

ChiswickFlo · 21/04/2022 12:27

Sorry to see you go @DGRossetti

I've really appreciated your company these past few years...

All the best x

A long time lurker - just to say sorry you are leaving DGR - your posts ( and humour ) will be much missed by me

Peregrina · 21/04/2022 13:46

Ha, India trade deal and more visas for Indians - not what the average Brexiter voted for.

Sorry to see you go DGR. I too think the redesign is a mess.

How many of us who have been going since the Westministenders threads are still standing? RedToothbrush withdrew some time ago, then we used to have regular contributions from people like squid who I haven't seen for ages now.

Admittedly, it's hard to keep the flame alight - I might live another twenty years and have come to the realisation that I might not see us back in the EU. However, I do see my DD and grandchildren being entitled to EU passports so at least they will be able to give two fingers to the brexiters.

But then, I never thought I would see the end of apartheid, nor see Communism collapse - so one has to try to keep positive.

dontcallmelen · 21/04/2022 13:54

Oh DGR another one really sorry to see you go, I have learnt such a lot from you.

Jason118 · 21/04/2022 14:36

Echoing comments regarding the departure of @DGRossetti - pithy, erudite and enlightening, will be missed on these boards.

TheElementsSong · 21/04/2022 14:41

I'll be very sorry to see you go, @DGRossetti and I do hope you'll reconsider.

prettybird · 21/04/2022 14:46

I have always appreciated @DGRossetti 's contributions, on these and the Ukraine threads, and he always adds an interesting perspective and provides useful information and links. I usually agree most of the time Wink with him so like many others, will be sorry to see him go Sad

HappyWinter · 21/04/2022 15:04

I hope you change your mind @DGRossetti , I enjoy reading your posts too. I agree the site changes are distracting and it's driving everyone crazy. I wonder if site traffic will go down and they will have to make some changes. It's very hard to read now.

HesterThrale · 21/04/2022 15:51

Yes DGR I’ll miss your contributions too. I hope you change your mind.
Been on these threads since 2016, and have enjoyed and learnt from so many posters here.
Hoping the tide will start to slowly turn soon... the country needs change.

Bonabee · 21/04/2022 17:10

Don't be a diva DGR we need your anger and acerbic wit. The new platform is crap but please stay.

borntobequiet · 21/04/2022 17:38

Please don’t go, DGR.

Lonelycrab · 21/04/2022 17:45

Another one sad to see DGR going😕
always found your posts really informative and well observed, and have learnt a lot from you over the years, so I’m sorry you’re going although I understand why.

borntobequiet · 21/04/2022 17:58

Let’s at least start betting on BJ’s replacement. I say Ben Wallace.

HannibalHeyes · 21/04/2022 18:26

Echoing the others, it would be a shame to lose DGR.

But I can understand, this new format is absolutely ghastly. Did they not do any testing or consumer research?

quiteathome · 21/04/2022 19:20

Yes, what is going on with this new look. I don't like it.

Goodbye DGR you will be missed.

ChiswickFlo · 21/04/2022 20:11

I kept trying to ‘shrink’ the text down to a smaller size. It’s as if they’ve decided that all MN users are half blind and made everything large print but designed for a toddler. It’s not pleasant but I also echo plead for @DGRossetti to keep making the occasional take down of Tory stupidity on these threads.

It’s a thread that helps keep me sane as it’s not just about Brexit, but about the utter ridiculousness of these Tory idiots/fascists. Doesn't seem that those comments will run out of fuel anytime soon unfortunately.

mathanxiety · 22/04/2022 01:03

@DGRossetti - please reconsider?

Alexandra2001 · 22/04/2022 08:06

borntobequiet · 21/04/2022 17:58

Let’s at least start betting on BJ’s replacement. I say Ben Wallace.

He was a staunch remainer (as a minister) i don't think the back benches (Steve Baker) or the membership would support him, Sunak wrong colour and Truss an idiot.... i think Ellwood has a very good chance.

I want BJ to stay and be humiliated at the next GE, a change of leader, means all the bad things get loaded on BJ and we have a brand new Govt and another 5 years of the Tories.

Alexandra2001 · 22/04/2022 08:08

@DGRossetti The website will evolve, stay and you can force that change, if you leave, you won't influence the direction of MN.

HannibalHeyes · 22/04/2022 09:45

Larry and Paul brilliant as ever...
