I'm afraid the other thread op pissed me off a lot so here's another option for those of us that want one.

BREAKING: Boris Johnson's spokesman says the Cabinet Secretary will only investigate the alleged Downing Street party on December 18th, which the prime minister did not attend, and not any other party, including the one he reportedly did attend.

Starmer: "Will the prime minister support the police and support the CPS by handing over everything the government knows about parties in Downing Street to the Metropolitan Police?"

Johnson: "Of course we will do that."

Note this commitment made by the PM at the despatch box goes beyond the specific December 18 party

Boris Johnson’s spokespeople refuse multiple times to repeat their denial, said countless times over the last week, that there was no party held in No10 on December 18th.

They also refuse to deny that another party took place on 13th November, as alleged by Dominic Cummings.

They also refuse to say that Simon Case was definitely not at the event he has been asked to investigate, although PM’s Press Secretary does say: “This an independent fact-finding mission. I think you can be assured that due diligence has been followed on that.”

It's always going to be something small that finally tips the balance, Al Capone was caught on tax evasion. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the the party combined with the new covid restrictions reported to be coming into effect this week.

I think the fact the news has been ahead of the players for so long suggests there is a lot more to drip out.

I'm surprised the government haven't got the police to raid some people to try and see what else is out there. Because it's clear they have no idea.

I'm veering between utterly furious and sadly unsurprised at this turn of events
