Well at least that is honest. And I would never want anyone to be stopped from casting their vote in the way they think right. Equally i would expect a degree of acceptance that yours and his choice has massively reduced my and my family’s choice and that this is a significant loss. You may regard that loss as worth it in the overall scheme of things but it is significant. Anyway enjoy the freedoms you have taken from the rest of us whilst happily keeping for yourself. At a minimum I am sure you will never spend more than 90 days a year ever again in the EU. I am sure you will also tell your children if you have them that they should not work in the EU even if they legally can - because that is something you and your husband believe is of such little value that you chose to remove it from a whole generation of other young people - and it would therefore be gross hypocrisy if they were ever to make any use of their eu status. The point about brexit is we are all in this together and it is vital that your family also take the downsides with the upsides.

Toptotoeunicolour · 31/12/2020 17:32

So basically, you wanted me to vote in line with your priorities instead of in line with my own? You do know that's not how it works?

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 17:37

No @Toptotoeunicolour you could vote as you wished, but I think she expected that you would have enough self awareness to recognise the impact of your decision on others who don’t have your privileged position

Dg390 · 31/12/2020 17:39

No - what I want you to do is to own the massive downsides of your choice for other people. I get there are reasons to vote brexit (sovereignty etc) but it comes at an enormous price and I want you to own that price. You haven’t confirmed that your whole family intends never to use your right of free movement which you have activity chosen to
Remove from the rest of us. it must have been a much easier choice for you and brexiteers husband. Like most people it tends to be easier to make choices where other people take all the the pain. And to be fair what you have chosen for me is nothing like the risks hard brexiteers have chosen for NI.

Toptotoeunicolour · 31/12/2020 17:43

And in casting my vote, I made a judgement call, like millions of others, about what was important. You can't expect my priorities to be the same as yours - if enough people had felt the way you do, then Remain would have won.

Andante57 · 31/12/2020 17:46

But we’re stuck here with people like you 🤷‍♀️

What a spiteful post.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 17:46

@Dg390 I don’t think @Toptotoeunicolour is for real. No one is that tone deaf. Don’t rise to it!

yellowspanner · 31/12/2020 17:47

👋👋👋 Epic, hope you are ok. 🍷 Happy New Year to you.
I will be celebrating at 11pm and then to bed. My friends and family have a zoom party going to celebrate finally, after 4.5 years, leaving the EU. I will be glad to see the back of 2020 because of Covid but I think it will also be remembered because it is the year we finally became completely independent again.
Not long to go.
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾

Toptotoeunicolour · 31/12/2020 17:47

Oh FGS. Words literally fail me.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 17:48

@Andante57 is that not the truth? @Toptotoeunicolour has freedom to move and settle in 28 different countries. I’m stuck here because of a vote that she and fellow Brexiteers took.

BrandySours · 31/12/2020 17:49

We've reached OWN YOUR SHIT status on the thread! 🙌🥳

The tried & trusted barometer of an imminent significant Brexit moment...!

Just over 5 hours to go 😱🇬🇧👀🍾

Toptotoe - ignore, ignore, ignore!

They're howling at the moon 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not worth your time or patience ❤️

I voted Leave and would do so again. Like the rest of my family and nearly all of my friends I based my decision on what I thought best for the UK, not on what was best for me.
I am amazed that people are asking leave supporters to make promises to complete strangers on the Internet.

Toptotoeunicolour · 31/12/2020 17:54

I know, it's another "Sue you're shouting at tea" moment. Someone should write a song. Smile

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 17:55

We aren't going away. Happy New Year.

yellowspanner · 31/12/2020 17:56

Topto, you have just been accused of not being real. 🤷‍♀️
I thought only real people could post here, never mind vote.
Just ignore it all...like Brandy says ...just over 5 hours to go.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 17:57

The truth is Brandy that you will never own your shit. Your triumphalism over a decision that has divided and broken our nation makes me sick. I wish you had an ounce of humility to recognise the feelings of those who did not vote for this. But you clearly don’t and never will.

Don't bother, it's impossible to understand 😬! You are being used as a convenient punching bag.

As most normal people do, you made the choices that were best for your family. Funny how when areas in the red wall asked for assistance due to a massive increase in immigration putting a strain on local resources they were ignored. When factories were moved to Eastern Europe leading to increased unemployment hardly any assistance was sent.
Brexit was easily predictable for anyone outside of a "bubble" the European project didn't benefit everyone and successive governments failed to address this.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 18:06

Given the momentous night I thought there’d be more Brexiteers here. But just the four of you. Guess the others are already slinking away....

Morsmordre · 31/12/2020 18:09

No... plenty of us here lurking in the background and reading your salty posts. Just busy filling the fridge with Champagne for later - will join in the celebrations and banter later 😉

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 18:10

Sorry, 5 of you...

thegcatsmother · 31/12/2020 18:15

Equally i would expect a degree of acceptance that yours and his choice has massively reduced my and my family’s choice and that this is a significant loss.

Had you exercised that choice though? It sometimes seems that people complain that Brexit has taken their choices from them; yet they either have never, or would never, choose to exercise those opportunities.

HeyHeyImABeLeaver · 31/12/2020 18:15

I'm very much still here🥂

larry5 · 31/12/2020 18:20

So am I.
