@Toptotoeunicolour , nice sentiment but the people who used that foul language changed their names and set up another Arms.

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 12:20

I would write Bellini the most beautiful apology ever if it meant she left the Brexit Arms threads alone, forever.

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 12:24

No one is stopping you

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 12:26

Ah, but would you promise to stay away? If that is all you want from us??

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 12:26

I'll take your apology in the spirit in which it is given.

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 12:31

Offer is there, let me know when you are ready to say goodbye to the Arms.

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 12:32

Your sincerity is touching.

Toptotoeunicolour · 31/12/2020 12:34

C'mon Lurking, everyone has the right to post. There are talk guidelines which must be adhered to, and them's the rules.

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 12:35

Thank you Toptotoeunicolour .

This is another of Brandy's masterpieces. The best bit is Bercow's face.
Lovely to see you sally.
Happy New Year to all regardless of their politics or nationality.

I think you're right Whythesadface it is the stages of grief and where people are at with that. And I guess some might just get stuck in a continuous loop with it. Hopefully they will make through the last stage for their own sakes really. Things can't be changed and so the only thing they are damaging is themselves.

BelleHathor · 31/12/2020 13:03

Looks like the BBC woke up this morning and chose chaos 👀. The replies to this tweet eek.

nice sentiment but the people who used that foul language changed their names and set up another Arms.

I started this thread (so that's me who 'set up another Arms')
I namechanged back in Feb (although didn't post or open MN since back then, so not many posts in new name)
I namechanged back then to try & escape the people who could not stop hounding me 🤷🏻‍♀️
I did not namechange specifically to start this thread

And I NEVER, not ONCE called you 'vermin' or similar

Please, please stop re-writing history & stop dragging me into your drama
I am not interested in the pettiness, bickering, & constant dragging up of the past

It's tedious

Why do people say they can't or won't move on? There is no choice.
The country has moved on.

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 13:10

Nice to hear@BrandySours .

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 13:13

I do feel like maybe the remainers need to do something to help themselves. Obsessively stalking those who they fundamentally disagree with isn't healthy.

Maybe that's why we are happier?

yellowspanner · 31/12/2020 13:17

It really doesn't matter to me what others think.
We have a lot to celebrate.
Apart from the obvious one of leaving the EU, there is the vaccine.
And spring is on the way.
Days are getting longer
We have a Govt. with a healthy majority
Boris is tackling inequality between regions now he has got Brexit done.

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 13:20

So true Yellow. I might start my spring garden plans today 😁

Comradesally · 31/12/2020 13:31

One day more 🎶

Andante57 · 31/12/2020 13:32

I agree yellowspanner

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 13:33

“Things can't be changed and so the only thing they are damaging is themselves.”

What a strange thing to say - they can and will be (unless you just mean in the short term!) Out of the EU and having taken back control we now have complete freedom to shape and reshape our relationship with Europe. With every new government will come new deals, new disputes, new challenges and opportunities. And for remainers the drive will always be towards tighter integration and the opposite for leavers. There is never an end to this, merely a new, temporary and relatively fragile status quo. Those who think remainers will pack up their bags and go home are deluded, just as leavers never accepted EU membership and fought so long and hard to take us out.

Whythesadface · 31/12/2020 13:34

Spring always bring optimistic views, and regrowth, maybe this year it will get rid of the C19 and we can enjoy life again.

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 13:38

I might plant a new rose in honour of our freedom. A rampant climber, that will reward me with its vigour 😊

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 13:39

I assume you disagree with the kind of person that calls you vermin @LurkingLeaver .
