In cats, one of the major genes for coat colour is located on the X chromosome and has two forms (alleles) which can be simplified to Orange and NotOrange. Yup. Running down the clock is going badly wrong and they are all blaming each other rather than deal with the problem.

I'm guessing there's a pressure to make no. 10 "Biden ready" - which is going to be a completely different look than remaining (as it was) "Trump ready".
