Talks between Frost and Barnier still unresolved issues. There are rumours but 'all without evidence' (the new in phrase on BBC news tonight) that the UK is waivering.

Less that two months to go.

And there is the small matter of what happens in the US than might influence events.

I wonder what other companies hire people on the basis "I couldn't get a degree because the establishment was afraid of the truth I spoke" ?

Worth remembering that the Peter Principle states that the real work in any hierarchical organisation is actually undertaken by the people who have not yet reached their level of incompetence. I guess with some powerpoint magic I could whip up a series of slides that show as the ratio of competent:incompetent approaches parity, the organisation becomes less viable and it it exceeds 1, they are not long for this world.

I wonder what the ratio of the UK government is right now ? 1.1, 1.2 ? And what would Cummings purported* departure do to it ?

Quite, and I actually did hate science at school, the life sciences, the ones that smell bad) at least, loved Physics. But that if anything makes me want to listen more! (Not that I have any choice in this household , by somehow unwittingly and unpredictably having nurtured a Scientist I have learnt so much more than I ever did at school........)

Many, many years ago, I read a depressing article about how bright kids had learned to hide it so well they were marked down as a way to avoid bullying. Especially boys.

I have no tolerance for deliberate ignorance. None. If you choose to be ignorant then you are any number of epithets that mean "thick". And here's here a lot of Brexiteers let themselves down by their heroic continued ignorance.

Mind you, it's almost a given that apart from the airline, Branson dropped anything with "Virgin" in the name years ago.
