Today is the last scheduled day for talks with the EU.

We have til 30th June to ask for a transition extension. We won't.

That leaves us starring down the barrel of a no deal exit, when we still could be in a covid-19 crisis and the US may be in turmoil given recent events and the coming election...

It's not a pretty picture.

My thoughts to. Win win. For Barnier - he stops wasting his time, and can get on with his life, and Boris and chums, can say it's all the nasty EU's fault.

Meanwhile, we the plebs suffer. But people can only take so much. As we have seen with the Black Lives Matter and the Colston statue, I wouldn't like to bet on how the public would respond. They didn't buy the Cummings excuses.

Oriel College are properly mindful of the previous attacks they have suffered at the hands of iconoclasts in previous centuries.

That said, could they not just move him indoors, out of sight and out of mind?

A Boris Vaccine, leaving people impervious to being swayed by mop-haired shambolic rants interspersed with extraneous gobbitts of random Latin, would be a public good worth investment.

Well, I drank most of a bottle of rosé on my terrace with a friend whose father is dying before I toddled back to my laptop, so I can't pinpoint what might have caused the censorship, but basically I said I could confirm that people here in France agree with our viewpoint on DC, that a friend mentioned today how "juste" Douglas Ross's resignation statement was, and that my French mates think Brexit is done and CBA with it anyway.

I may have compared DC unfavourably to a word beginning with T that is also used to refer to female genitalia (I can't remember my exact wording, TBH), but I am struggling to identify what caused MN to hide my post.
Regulars on here will know that I am not exactly the most likely candidate for censorship.

The word that AuldAlliance that begins with "t" is actually a relatively mild pejorative term in Scotland - without the meaning of female genitalia (it just means someone is a real idiot - but more pejorative than that). It was only on MN that I learnt that in certain regions it is a much stronger word (in the same way that I wouldn't use the "c" word except in French

Given that we freely use the term clusterfuck and cockwomble , I'd be surprised if that was the reason. It could be another one of the "hidden" words (eg laughing with a dirty mind - "S" plus the name of Guy Gibson's dog in Dambusters, which is a word that isn't allowed at the moment) that has triggered the automatic filter.
