“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

Not George Orwell but often attributed to him. But a powerful statement with resonance nonetheless

As a rule, I guess.

Sigh.

RedToothBrush · 02/06/2020 15:49

Meanwhile when it comes to voting its going to take over 30 minutes for the MPs who ARE there (and are not vulnerable) to queue to vote.

I know the British are known for their love of queuing but this is ridiculous.

As is the 2 hr queue for the local McDonalds which reopened today and is causing traffic chaos. Apparently a friend who works in Macclesfield says the same thing is happening there too.

What a farce!

You come in. You stand on the spot. You say your name and say aye or no.

Approx a third of them can actually do this without being made to do it again.

LouiseCollins28 · 02/06/2020 15:52

Can’t some of them mix it up a bit “Hells No!” Grin

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 15:53

I think Year One could do better than this.

LouiseCollins28 · 02/06/2020 15:55

Agree Mockers how much do we pay these chumps

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 15:56

The best bit: The ones who are in favour of this arrangement are , if anything, the worse at actually following the rules they want to introduce.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 15:57

PS:

Daniel Kawczynski is about nine foot tall!

LouiseCollins28 · 02/06/2020 15:59

This is farcical Grin some of these folks just haven’t got this at all.

LouiseCollins28 · 02/06/2020 16:03

Actually you know what, I am a total convert to this. Brilliant to see who can follow the most simple instructions in the bloody world writ large like this!

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 16:03

We had a glimpse of what they're after earlier: Mogg filibustered and took a million interventions to curtail debate, then Blackford was barracked for not taking interventions because he only had three minutes, because Mogg took all the time.

MashedPotatoBrainz · 02/06/2020 16:03

Have you guys seen that they've now changed the law to expressly forbid anyone for doing a Cummings and travelling to family for childcare? I might have to leave the internet and hide in my basement for a few years as my head can't take much more of this twattery.

pussycatinboots · 02/06/2020 16:04

Red🤦🏻‍♀️
They really do think that there's one rule for them and another for everyone else, don't they.
You'd think after Barneygate they would have learned that lesson.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 02/06/2020 16:05

Our parliamentary procedures are embarrassingly archaic.

LouiseCollins28 · 02/06/2020 16:07

You just know, you just know Boris will screw this up

DGRossetti · 02/06/2020 16:10

Our parliamentary procedures are embarrassingly archaic.

Who gives a shit if they work ? It's the fact they don't that's the problem.

If your primary grumble is they are "archaic" then I'm sure one of Boris' cronies can knock up an "app" to make them bleeding edge. They still wouldn't work, but at least in a modern way.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 16:10

Now those Eagle Twins look like one Eagle Twin moving back and forth very fast.

OldLace · 02/06/2020 16:11

@DGRossetti

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 16:15

Just had a Tory pillock who didn't know which way he was voting.

pussycatinboots · 02/06/2020 16:16

Some of them are really struggling with walking and talking, aren't they?

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 16:17

Just had another Tory pillock who tried to vote No in the Aye lobby.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 02/06/2020 16:19

..........and it takes forfucking ever

BigChocFrenzy · 02/06/2020 16:20

Is this a sneaky IQ test for MPs ?

because many don't seem to have scored well

pussycatinboots · 02/06/2020 16:20

They're complaining about the queue good, now they know what Sainsburys is like

pussycatinboots · 02/06/2020 16:22
