You do know that English isn't the only native language in the UK, right? Of course the government isn't going to outlaw the speaking of other languages, how would they even police that?

On the other hand, the less pleasant members of any society will always seize a chance to air their vile, bigoted opinions and that's what has happened here. Assuming that anything happened at all.

A friend shared it on FB this morning as an example of awful things happening post Brexit. She lives in the West Country and said it had happened near her so I'm.not sure if it it is real or faked.

Yeah but apparently no other language counts. Welsh speakers being told off for speaking Welsh is one example.

It’s not stirring to state that there has been more racism since we voted out of Europe, police and government statistics are agreed on that. Incidences such as this, whether this was true or not have increased.

Whatever your opinion is on Brexit it is undeniable that some of the campaigning and the eventual result has meant that racism has risen.

It's genuine apparently. Sadly Brexit seems to have allowed opinions that people may otherwise not have voiced openly, to do just that. Too scared to put their name to it though.
