Brexit Arms - Out with the old and in with the new

It’s time again for another Brexit Arms thread to see us into Christmas and beyond.

Well what a week it’s been!!

Boris has now completed his first week and he’s been busy. New conservatives have been sworn in, the Queens Speech yesterday shows promise (aware that the proof of the (Xmas) pudding is in the eating) and Boris’ Deal is going to be voted on today with the results being around 3pm I believe.

Meanwhile, on the other side all four wheels have definitely fallen off the red bus and were very nearly joined by a garden gate and a car door. Oh dear!!

Anyway, I have added a few more Christmas decs to the pub and popped the fairy back on the tree (it took a nasty tumble)

We are now good to go.
Cheers all 🍷🍷

Ps. If anyone wants to volunteer for outside catering that would be👍🏻

I'm so excited to tell you this...Mr Lily and I have been invited to a constituency dinner in February. Never been to one of these things before but the guest of honour and speaker is Geoffrey Cox. It will be worth it just to hear the Shakespearean oratory.

Afternoon all - I'll have a small coffee please LL.

Question re passports - are they still burgundy or blue??? Obviously this was the only reason I voted leave and I need to send off for a new one now as I'm having to go to the US in March and I won't have 6 months left on mine at that point.

I thought some of you said they were now blue, but the husband is saying they're still burgundy. Which is correct?

@SingingLily the look Boris has on his face is the look that all mothers have shared. The amusement at the embarrassing situation that we are pretending not to notice.

He just needs to pick up Jeremy and stuff him I to a car seat, all while the tantrum crescendos.

There might even be some bollock-tugging that angry boys seem to deploy 😂

Welll...Boris's WAB scraped through on a vote of 358-234. A majority of 124!!!

Phew! That was close. Not.

Looks like some of Jezza's flock decided not to wait. They've already embraced the principle of self-determination, one way or another.

What a fantastic way to start your career as a brand-new MP - to vote for the very first time at this historic moment!

🤞for Prince Philip. Crossing myself frantically here!

are they still burgundy or blue???

It's a lottery, Twattage. They are still using up the last stock - burgundy but with no mention of the EU, but the blue ones are trickling through. If you want a blue one for sure, I'd wait until mid-January or thereabouts. Mine took a record six days.

lily unfortunately I can't wait as I need a business visa for the US for first week of March (as I've been to a naughty country I can't get an esta any more). So that will have to go through via the US Embassy once I've got my PP (we are not sure how long it will take but can't leave it to the last minute).

Personally not keen on burgundy as a colour so purely from an aesthetic POV, I'd much prefer blue (as it's one of my colours).

BBC Scotland were out and about in E Renf last night. Quite a lot of buyer's remorse at inadvertently having bolstered the Indyref2 cause in evidence.

@ChrismArseDarkly I am cringing for you. I also suspect I know who you are. Maybe you need anger management because you seem to be far too invested in trying to hurt people rather than move on with your life.
