Note: I am a shit host, and not a patch on previous Landladies - I don't cook, I don't clean & I don't prepare drinks. I am a selfish bellend. If you want feeding, there's a microwave in back & a shop down the road. If you want drinks just help yourself 😘 - it's a free bar 🎉🥳🎈

It’s less what he is saying (I know, I’m 😱 too) but more what he is retweeting, you would have to go and look to get a feel really!

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 10:18

Aargh! I'm a technophobe! But will try to find it...

SilverySurfer · 16/12/2019 10:21

Morning - munching on crumpets and Marmite.

I'm looking forward to seeing who will be in the Cabinet and hope it's a good mix from all parts of the country..

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 10:26

Morning, Silvery and also Boswell, Boris and Dapple. Don't go skinny on the marmalade - we've loads!

I've just look at LOJ's Twitter account. 😱 or 🤣 - can't decide.

The only sane comment on there was from someone who said, "The first step to building a broad church is to purge from it anyone who doesn't agree with you", or words to that effect.

LOJ is building a broad church.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 10:29

Bless him, as always, as long as that Broad Church consists of a dedicated parish that worship at the Altar of LOJ’s opinions, then all will be well in LOJ world I’m sure. 😂

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 10:40

They can all huddle in the sanctuary of the Broad Church and sing The Red Flag while the zombie apocalypse unleashed on Thursday the 12th rages outside and razes the country to the ground.

It must be a comfort, in a way, to know that even in this sea of troubles (the one likely to last ten years now, and if they carry on like this, even longer), a beacon of truth and sanity and compassionate still shines.

Pretty sure there's a film script in there. All the zombies could wear Boris wigs.

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 10:49

Also from the Telegraph:

"Jeremy Corbyn has called on like-minded followers to join the Labour party in an apparent bid to ensure the election of another hard-left leader.

Defiant in the face of the party's massive defeat, Mr Corbyn said "although this wasn't our moment, our time will come". He added: "To those who haven't yet joined us, join now".

There are no words, are there? No words at all.

I hope LOJ is planning a loft and garage extension. He's going to need a bigger Church.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 10:55

Defiant in the face of the party's massive defeat, Mr Corbyn said "although this wasn't our moment, our time will come". He added: "To those who haven't yet joined us, join now".

The arrogance of this nut. Case in point as to why people wouldn’t vote for him. He will not relinquish control, until he has rebuilt the party in his own image, he still thinks he is right and will willing destroy what’s left of the party to prove it.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 10:55

Willingly

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 10:58

I’m awaiting the installation of a Corbyn Junior next, I think we are about to enter the first stages of an attempted dynastic socialist agenda. It wouldn’t surprise me to see at least one of his Sons stand in 2024.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:08

So Emily Thornberry has apparently involved solicitors over the alleged ‘stupid constituents’ comments.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:09

She said, “they can’t make up shit about me” sky had to bleep it! 😂😂😂😂

The wheels are really coming off now... 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:11

This is beginning to look like the aftermath a disbanded teenage house party.

horse4course · 16/12/2019 11:12

I read these threads as a remainer sometimes to try to understand how other people think. You don't come across well. An awful lot of gloating and crassness.

Whatever your position on brexit, we should all be worried about:

  • the report on Russian interference, which is being buried until jan with no good reason.
  • Dom Cummings saying he'd have challenged the legality of the referendum if remain had won
  • the government looking to interfere with the independence of the judiciary
EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:13

“Hide the booze!”

“Don’t tell my mum!”

“I didn’t invite all these idiots”

“It wasn’t me!”

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 11:15

Morning, horseforcourse, ☕️ for you and do help yourself to something from the breakfast tray (now brunch),

Who would you like to see as the next Labour leader?

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:17

“You don't come across well. An awful lot of gloating and crassness.”

Biscuit won’t be engaging with you for that alone. Thread hide is that ‘a’ way love.

AutumnRose1 · 16/12/2019 11:18

Re the teenager party, James O’Brien has already RT’d some no blame statements with the lyrics of “it wasn’t me” 😂

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 11:18

😂Autumn

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:21

“Re the teenager party, James O’Brien has already RT’d some no blame statements with the lyrics of “it wasn’t me” 😂”

😂😂😂😂😂

horse4course · 16/12/2019 11:23

@SingingLily I'd like to see Starmer or Benn. Someone who can cut through better than Corbyn and has broader appeal.

Even if you are pro-Brexit and support Johnson, he must be faced with an effective opposition. Otherwise you get sloppiness and corruption.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:25

😂😂😂😂😂

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 11:30

Please don't @ me, horse. I'm already on the thread. Thank you.

I agree with you about the need for someone who will have broader appeal. If you have been lurking on this thread, you will know that I have consistently argued that our democracy requires a functioning opposition. Jezza completely failed on that count and in doing so, he failed all of us, regardless of our political persuasion.

What does concern me is the fact that even those you mention might be regarded as fatally compromised - either by the current membership because they are not left enough, or by the electorate because they could be regarded as those who enabled this whole mess.

What are your thoughts?

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 16/12/2019 11:33

Amazing isn’t it? We have repeatedly discussed this issue and the need for a strong opposition! Considering the pp is claiming to have read the threads, I find it somewhat odd that they have completely opted out of making that observation.

SingingLily · 16/12/2019 11:40

Don't worry, Epic. I haven't lost my marbles Wink
