The temporary Landlady is back but worry not, all is festive good cheer with just another three days to go until we reach the Only Poll That Really Matters. Till then, the gloves are still on!

Which is why some head over to other threads to listen to some sort of challenge to their views, as it's been shut down on here. Check some out, if you get a chance. Many have wide ranging views, assertions and debate.

I understand that this will be reported, and I will duly be deleted, because I have suggested this thread doesn't necessarily serve everyone on it well, but that's now 'goady', isn't it?

Bless him, I did consider lying him on the floor of the school waiting area and taking a photo, to make some spurious political point, but alas, it seemed wildly inappropriate as he is actually really poorly

Don't get too hung up on the 'polls' - neither ds nor me have been 'polled'. Neither of us do FB - are people really influenced by 'targetted' FB posts in how they vote? Do they really vote because a website or MN told them that's the way they should vote? Or because a newspaper has advised them?

Maybe some do - but the UK electorate have been pared down to their very basics, underestimate them at your peril.

Under Wilson and Heath (therefore Labour and Tory) things were a bit grim - I was a kid so I didn't know any better . It was just nylon, beige and uninspired if you weren't a kid.
I remember lots of strikes but then I also remember the havoc wrought by Thatcherism.

Re the polls. It's going to be very close. I think Boris will do it but I think his majority with be very slim. Surely he can't do worse than Theresa?

I'm a bit worried round here because the Lib Dems are making no effort whatsoever to campaign when normally they are relentless. I think they are backing off and secretly hoping people will vote Labour who are snapping at the heels of our high profile Brexiteer MP. Labour - who have never ever knocked on my door have been 3 times this week. These tactics may well pay off because the people here voted remain.

I found some night nurse in the cupboard so I'm off to bed now. Night all.

It’s good advice Xing, but alas, they don’t think they do it, they just blame us for their behaviour Instead. It’s sooooo tedious.
