We love low-flying planes and helos. Lots use our valley for low flying training. A friend visiting from Oz looked outside and saw his old squadron do a fly past. We (cheekily) asked for a repeat so he could get a picture; sadly, they were tasked elsewhere for the rest of his visit!

DH hates flying. He especially hates helicopters. Which is why he was specially chosen for the job of helping to transfer IRA prisoners from The Maze to Magilligan after the riots. The helicopter hugged the ground all the way to avoid missiles.

DH has just suggested a silly idea, so I've posted a note on Richard Branson's 'personal' mail in Virgin Airway's website suggesting that we'd contribute to a first class one-way ticket for Jezbollah and his friends to make whoopee in a Socialist paradise, one way only.

DS appreciates this 'rite of passage', I've said how lucky he is to be able to vote so soon after he turned 18; he said "well it's really just another Brexit Referendum"; can't disagree with him on that one.

Many thanks to our LL - you do everything so properly and run the 'establishment' so well, and much as I'm a bit averse to the 'norm', I also appreciate things done 'properly' and following the rules.

Not liking the polls folks... they are not looking good as time goes on. 😞 How will the country get through hard socialism, do some of you here older than me have any positive stories from back in the day? I was a thatcher baby.... I arrived on the very tail end of the last socialist misery. There must have been some upsides surely? 😬🤦🏻‍♀️

My relatives and older people I know don’t seem to talk favorably of that time.

Debating whether I should go to bed early and try to sleep it off or should I hit the wine and hope it will be gone by the morning. Answers on a beer mat please - I suspect I'll be told to get to bed.

Picked my poor DS up from school today, shivering and chucking up with flu. Bless him, I did consider lying him on the floor of the school waiting area and taking a photo, to make some spurious political point, but alas, it seemed wildly inappropriate as he is actually really poorly.😞😉

Fingers crossed I won’t catch it 😞 (selfish alert 😬)
