And they're simultaneously clever enough to be at uni, but too stupid to figure out how to vote...

DustyDiamond · 29/10/2019 20:49

Does anyone think Labour will win the GE by default? I am hoping for a Conservative landslide but fear it might be a hung parliament.

I am Petrified that Labour will win by accident Sunglasses

DustyDiamond · 29/10/2019 20:50

I remember watching people physically rubbing out votes live on tv during the count in 2016.

I saw that clip somewhere too!

Hollycatberry · 29/10/2019 20:50

According to Swinson younger voters wont be able to vote because they will be paralysed moving home from uni

Lol. Absurd isn’t it. I would hope that a university student, who we will assume has a certain level of intelligence, is able to work out their location and sort out where they can cast their vote accordingly. It’s not rocket science.

“Does anyone think Labour will win the GE by default? I am hoping for a Conservative landslide but fear it might be a hung parliament.”

My new repetitive nightmare until friday the 13th (eek) of december arrives. [santa]

DustyDiamond · 29/10/2019 20:51

😮😮😮😮

I never twigged it was Friday 13th 😩😩

Bearbehind · 29/10/2019 20:53

That fact about the vote today passing by more than it needed yesterday has blown my mind TBH

It just shows how fucked up this all is and how it has absolutely nothing to do with what is in the interest of Joe Public

Doesn’t that bother anyone else?

sunglasses123 · 29/10/2019 20:53

Dusty me too.....

Corbyn et al are complete nutters

Hollycatberry · 29/10/2019 20:55

I do seriously wonder why Labour would consider keeping Corbyn in bearing in mind his ratings in the polls

Marxists always cling on to power. He’ll not leave even if Labour fail to win this GE. It’ll be the public’s fault for believing Tory lies and/or reading the Daily Mail and/or being old and/or being uneducated etc. Labour will keep with their status quo as they believe they just need another GE for us all to see the light and vote accordingly.

I have done a count, there is no time to do this enough to change a count

BelleHathor · 29/10/2019 20:56

Labour's campaign video is very slic,k catchy song. The problem with suggesting that Brexit is for the rich by the rich ignores the large working and "under" class vote for Brexit. Guess it works in Islington 🤔

Epicwaffle · 29/10/2019 20:56

Hoping that Nige and his brexitty carrot 🤢 , have the good sense to sit this one out. At least in respect to safe tory seats anyway....

frumpety · 29/10/2019 20:57

Oh gosh yes I remember the facebook posts about taking a pen to the polling station Epicwaffle .

To be honest, this is why I was so desperate for a GE even though it's a massive gamble for Brexit 🐻

This Parliament is a toxic sewer & they weren't prepared to do anything other than pursue their own agendas

If they'd voted for it yesterday, BJ was going to progress the WAB but they didn't want that - that's why they voted against
By voting it through today, Lib Dem & SNP are gambling on being able to finally block Brexit for good

They are a bunch of self-interested charlatans

Epicwaffle · 29/10/2019 21:01

“I have done a count, there is no time to do this enough to change a count”

True, but it could make a potential difference in tight marginals.

DustyDiamond · 29/10/2019 21:02

Stephen Gethins won by 2 votes in 2017

DustyDiamond · 29/10/2019 21:03

Soubry with Caroline Flint

Epic I think there will be an arrangement of some sort between Tory and BXP.

Dusty that’s greatGrin.

Hopefully Time4. They can keep it quiet and hopefully BJ has plugged the leaks. BXP focus up north. Hope wizard Cummings has gamed all scenarios 🤞

sunglasses123 · 29/10/2019 21:07

Yes, Farage needs to ensure that he doesn’t take votes from Boris. He can take as many votes from Labour as he likes. It’s really not in the bag though. Something could come from left field for anyone.

I agree with a pp - labour if they lose will make excuse after excuse.

Bearbehind · 29/10/2019 21:08

They are a bunch of self-interested charlatans

Agreed - but a GE isn’t going to change that

It’s just that the outcome is the self interested charlatans you agree with the most are likely to get a majority.....this time

Epicwaffle · 29/10/2019 21:12

That Soubry picture is priceless! Proper lolz 😂

Hollycatberry · 29/10/2019 21:12

What planet is Souby on. Talking about what MPs want yet again. What about your constituents?!

No one wants another election for the sake of it. But given this parliament has done nothing to progress the referendum result and we have had MPs crossing the floor to other parties without going back to their constituents then yes a GE is needed. The EU is fed up, voters are fed up. Probably fair to say I am not celebrating having an election, but relieved that there is now a chance to install a different parliament who may actually oversee us leaving the EU and then get on with the many domestic matters required.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 29/10/2019 21:13

I heard lots of stories about people being told to take a pen when they voted but no videos of people rubbing out votes

Does anyone have a link
