Brexit Arms - Pop Up

time4chocolate · 09/10/2019 18:16

Well I’m going to have a crack at this Landlady business and I’ve opened a pop up pubSmile.

Rules are:
Anything brexit related is up for discussion and even not Brexit related if you feel the need (so if you want to discuss Haemoroids that’s ok too Wink).

I’m ok with a bit of arseyness (it’s an emotive subject) but if you go full monty in here I reserve the right to withhold all alcoholic beverages.

I have reserved a quiet table for MNHQ if they want to pop in for a quiet drink (Happy Hour is 6-7pmSmile).

Haven’t properly caught up yet with today’s Brexit news yet but looks like we are finally facing end game, that said still plenty of days left for high jinks and holidays.

Anyone have any views on how they think the next few days will play out are welcome to voice here.

First drinks are on the house WineWine 🍻 Cheers

Burps I feel sorry for poor old Dave. Explained to my teenage DDs that hardly any boy/man will ever choose to divorce their gf/wife. The default position is to behave so abominably that she does the dumping. Sally needs to move out and get on with her life and stop tormenting him. His new model sounds like a right piece of work though so it could be frying pan frier.

Which is why the Brexit Party Change message starts to sound attractive to disenchanted Labour and Tory voters alike. And why Parliamentarians undermining democracy as they have been for 3 years is so dangerous.

DorisDaysDadsDogsDead · 13/10/2019 12:28

Jesus wept! Is there an "appalling analogies" section on the leave website or something?

Bearbehind · 13/10/2019 12:34

It’s completely bizarre; Leavers who spend time thinking up these ridiculous analogies yet can’t actually deal with questions on the subject

It’s always baffled me though - surely at some point they must think, if only to themselves, ‘hang on, I can’t actually back up what I’ve just said - maybe this isn’t such a great idea’

yellowallpaper · 13/10/2019 12:34

Fingers crossed a deal is made and we don't leave with no deal. Quite happy with no end of compromises, just want a sort of normality to return after 3 crap years of this nonsense.

Voila212 · 13/10/2019 13:04

I have read on the Brexit arms that some feel that a no deal been taken off the table was a huge mistake but a leaked government document states that a no deal will affect the leave areas the hardest with 29 out of the 33 most vulnerable to job losses. Would that change your views in anyway?

Burpsandrustles · 13/10/2019 13:08

How, Sally wants to move out but her bezzy is working behind her back to stop this as she's shagging dave.

They are hoping Sally will just go away and be so ground down by their bloody minded belligerence, she will up sticks and leave.

Sally however knows her worth at this point and won't loose her assets..

Once she regains access to her own money and not have dave dishing it out to her and controlling her she will be in a far stronger position.

Burpsandrustles · 13/10/2019 13:11

More bad news for Sally I'm afraid.

She went to court to try and access her bank account and the magistrate and judges ruled against her.

The panel were all daves mates. Shock

They all benefit from Sally's re purposed money too. Poor old Sally.
. Who can she turn too? What can she do?

lonelyplanetmum · 13/10/2019 13:30

When Sally regained control of the 0.7% of her money that she used to give Dave -she will find it doesn't go as far as she thought.

And what will happen to all the minions who believed Sally's unfounded complaints? Sally won't have the resources to look out for them reciprocally that's for sure. She will need to shaft them- and she will.

howabout · 13/10/2019 13:36

Burps Sally just has to bite the bullet and leave already. That is why men who are the primary breadwinner generally end up leaving their primary asset - the family home. Fortunately our Sally has never bothered with building a pension pot for Dave to get his hands on and has higher future than past earning potential.

lonely FWB is entirely the opposite arrangement to throwing your car keys in a bowl at the David Lloyd Centre. One is a mutually beneficial no strings attached arrangement with no hangers on and the other is a recipe for being permanently embroiled in the intimate arrangements of the whole neighbourhood.

Voila212 · 13/10/2019 13:40

Ok I'll play, what will Sally and her friends do when they lose their job, will she go crying to Dave because I don't think Don will give a shit😒

Voila212 · 13/10/2019 13:45

<a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.thetimes.co.uk/article/no-deal-will-hit-leave-voting-areas-hardest-says-report-mxt8nqzxm&ved=2ahUKEwjXvZvHmZnlAhWSr3EKHSkVBDMQFjADegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw0gCdn0atF6BLCIlvSKgxQW" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">no deal Brexit will hit leave areas the hardest

MockersthefeMANist · 13/10/2019 13:47

I think Dave is well shot of Sally and her paranoid tantrums about hoovers and bananas.

Voila212 · 13/10/2019 13:59

Don't forget hard hats mocker. A leader actually rang the lbc radio show to say he voted to leave because of the EU regulation about hard hard on building sites!!!

lonelyplanetmum · 13/10/2019 13:59

One thing we can all agree on is Dave is well shot of Sally.

She has a growing paranoid personality disorder and delusions of grandeur. As she ages he has recently started being very forgetful or shady, she accepts ' help' from Mafia sources but no one else. She is a poor judge of character and plays games. She is very controlling - an ageing failed dominatrix.

Voila212 · 13/10/2019 13:59

Leaver!!!

howabout · 13/10/2019 14:00

Mockers I am unhappy with my hoover. DH is emotionally attached to the old one but understands its limitations. We have compromised on buying a new one and keeping the old one "in case". He is seeking recommendations from my MiL for the new one so we can both blame her for its shortcomings and even dump it guilt free. Almost as if we are planning Canada + with the EU (Henry) and trial run with US (Dyson).

lonelyplanetmum · 13/10/2019 14:03

Typo- Sally is a She not He.

Butt who knows. Sally says her orientations are irrelevant and do not necessarily limit the genders of her submissive partners, if only she could find people to submit- as they are harder to find these days.

BercowsFlyingFlamingo · 13/10/2019 14:05

I think Vice are planning a raid due to all the illegal substances being consumed on the premises.

jasjas1973 · 13/10/2019 14:08

So why do you spend so much of your time on this thread?
Most people do all they can to avoid people they have nothing in common with & don’t particularly like, yet here you are, every single day

Yet here you are, every single day Lol!

time4chocolate · 13/10/2019 14:11

Maybe Dave will come to the realisation that the woman in the relationship is nearly always rightWink.
I still have a heavy cold and this analogy business is hurting my head a little so that’s the best I could come up withSmile.

Sally will be well shot of Dave but will only truly realise her potential when she's free from his constant gaslighting.

It's been particularly hard for Sally because some of her family have been taking Dave's word for everything & have done everything they can to undermine her position rather than just accepting that she's unhappy & respecting her decision to leave.

They've even been going to Dave behind Sally's back - advising him & working with him to make leaving as difficult as possible for her in the hope that she'll eventually be coerced into staying with him.

Such a shame for poor Sally that some members of her family don't care if she's miserable with Dave & continue to undermine her.
It's sad that they don't want to allow her to have autonomy over her life & choices.

#PrayForSally 🙏

howabout · 13/10/2019 14:16

Agreed Lonely. Which is why it is so difficult to understand why Dave is so desperate to keep her. Perhaps Dave is worried Sally will blossom without him? Likely they will both thrive separately. Unfortunately Dave seems to prefer purgatory - baffling.

Voila212 · 13/10/2019 14:21

Do leavers actually answer serious questions, a leaked government document states No deal Brexit will hit leave areas the hardest, does that concern any leavers, do ye think it's still worth it or do ye see it as project fear?

bellinisurge · 13/10/2019 14:22

"# PrayForSally 🙏"
Arrogant bollocks.

Burpsandrustles · 13/10/2019 14:31

pray for Sally.🙏

Sally has been told she's entitled and has notions of superiority. But when she looks around the house she knows she is the one generating cash. She is the money maker.

Daves family are draining her. And yes, they gas light her and undermine her. When she wants to speak, they actually make her speak for a certain amount of minuets.

Usually about 4. And they tell her she's just as important as them.

I don't fear for Sally though. Sally is resourceful, strong and can move fast and whether any crisis as she always has done.Smile

I'm more worried about useless dave and how his whole family will collapse when Sally has left. Sad

#PRAY FOR SALLY.
