I need more Vitalite and olive spread, but I am trying to leave it long enough for the dates to be fairly long, but not too long that everyone has panic bought.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/09/2019 19:35

The date on mine today is 28.12, Blackeyed.

sorry about your arm. I will ring the surgery to see if they have any appointments yet, though they were not very optimistic that the jab would be in yet.

I have beetroot stashed at the back of the fridge but need some with longer dates.

I need to tackle the top door shelf of crap yet.

I was going to cook something interesting for tea but as one can not use the kitchen for shopping bags...

I used a large number of spoons on Monday gardening, and again on Friday walking to an appointment so there are fewer spoons for today. I have got them ready for swimming and done the shopping so knackered.

That is what I was chuntering to myself as I went to the car. Hopefully you have stocked up on your wood and pitch for your Ark. Grin

I do have to go out tomorrow but not having to shop will be a bonus. Is @BercowsFlyingFlamingo around for thread three?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 28/09/2019 20:07

I’ve got my flu jab in a couple of weeks. flouncy surgery runs it with military precision, unlike trying to get it done at work which is an enormous PITA.

Well done @flouncyfanny . Compared to my regular b12 injections it was a mere scratch.

Dontlickthetrolley · 28/09/2019 21:44

I thought I had run out of beans today, but found some lurking after pulling half the cupboard out, no injuries luckily!

Just placed my first order with Sainsburys delivery and have £18 off a £60 spend so have added 12 cans of beans 🤣 pretty much done now I think. Although my boys found my Christmas biscuit stash so need to move them

BlackeyedGruesome · 28/09/2019 22:31

Thanks for the Boots tip.

Fridge door trays taken out and washed, well three of them anyway. I have two extra as the sodding Hotpoint fridge is a replacement for the sodding Hotpoint fridge that did not work. This one only works if you take the top drawer out of the freezer.

I have now got room for cheese, or spreads. May put the spreads in the top one as they are fairly forgiving of temperature changes and bring wafted into warm kitchens.

Gingerninja4 · 29/09/2019 01:51

Has anyone else got a separate box for Christmas preping ? Also got bits in the freezer

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2019 07:45

It's kind of the bulk of the stuff on top of the cupboard on the landing. But there's too much to fit on there partly because I've 120 loo rolls up there too so it's now everywhere! Our whole bedroom is stuffed to the gunnels actually.

The freezer is rammed with green and runner beans plus courgette! There is a side of salmon, a ham and some smoked salmon in there too. We've saved one portion of allotment peas in there too (the kids eat them straight from picking; there's very few for actual dinner time eating!). Oh, we've now got orange zest and juice in there. I'll do lemons 2. I buy the cheap ones and do 2 as 1 as they're small. We ice cube the juice.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2019 07:46

Oh, we have frozen eggs for my Christmas baking too.

BlackeyedGruesome · 29/09/2019 09:01

I have clotted cream, a chicken and sprouts in the freezer.

Schloer, fizzy pop and elderflower champagne stashed. There are Christmas puddings in ever increasing age in the cupboard. I will freeze some veg when I can.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2019 09:07

Oh, I have a litre of vodka, a bottle of blag Archers, 3 bottles (or maybe 4!) of Aldi's blag Bailey's, 2 x white, 2 x rosé and 2 x Prosecco as well in the Christmas section of my desk!

I've made 2 Christmas puddings and have homemade mincemeat (veritable shit ton thereof) in the cupboard to make mince pies. Plus the ingredients for mine and DD's chocolate puddings.

Thanks for starting the new threadSmile

I'm thoroughly fed up as this sinusitis isn't shifting. I've been to the out of hours today and now have another antibiotic for ten days. I haven't even the energy to catch up on westminstenders today as reading on my phone hurts my eyes and head.

I'm raiding the brexit biscuits and tea as I did a Bellini and ran out 😱 Thank goodness for the brexit cupboard and the 420 teabags in there

I'm dreading to see what tomorrow brings from politics.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2019 12:56

I have approx 1,500 teabags in my Brexit stash! Maybe more. 🙈😂

Is the flu vaccine 'live'? If so, you could get ill after it. I'm waiting til this virus I've got bogs off, then I'll go to Superdrug to pay for the jab (£3 less than Boots!).

Got another carrier bag of bloody runner beans today. They're never-ending!

Socksontheradiator · 29/09/2019 13:01

Who does the jabs in these places? Do they have trained people? Is it walk in or appointment only?

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2019 13:03

The chemist, I think. They'll be trained, yes.

Boots is appointment and Superdrug says to go in or ring for an appointment, so I'll go in and see what's what.
