Crunchy Red, hot and limpy without obvious trauma - same day appointment. Please call your GP surgery.

BercowsFlyingFlamingo · 26/09/2019 11:34

I agree re the ankle.

I've raided the chocolate hobnob stash.

I'm very confused by the claims of "we will obey the law" pAired with "I won't ask for an extension."

Brexit and London seem a million miles away from my lovely north western semi-rural bubble but I'm very worried about the future of our country.

Socksontheradiator · 26/09/2019 11:47

Morning all. Gobsmacked at the horrors of last night in Hoc, and more so at the extremists who condone it.
I hope you are all getting better from brexit injuries!
Despite the madness I am beginning to think that moderate MPs are going to come up with something to prevent no deal.
Still stashing though. Mostly tins of things and rice.

bellinisurge · 26/09/2019 13:19

I'm pinning hopes on Johnson backing all the worst loons into a corner into accepting WA 2.0 because it has the Johnson brand on it.
But that's why I prepGrin

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 07:04

Shit! Smart arse like me has run out of tea .... hang on a minute while I reach for the stash.... sorted. Normal service resumes. With note to self to buy more tea Wink

BlackeyedGruesome · 27/09/2019 07:06

News reporting that more needs to be done to ensure medical supplies.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2019 07:28

240 PG Tips are £2.97 in Iceland, bellini!

BlackeyedGruesome · 27/09/2019 07:44

34 days apparently.

Need more cornflakes. Or a sudden desire to eat shreddies. I have lots of shreddies and ds has gone off them.

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 08:02

Sadly @NoWordForFluffy , I need decaf for MS related reasons. Only Yorkshire Tea decaf tastes like tea enough for me to drink it.

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 08:03

@BlackeyedGruesome , I adore shreddies!

BlackeyedGruesome · 27/09/2019 09:05

I do like shreddies, just in a cornflakes phase. They have a long enough date on them. Everyone will eat them if there is nothing else.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2019 09:25

I used to love Shreddies. Not had them in years though.

BlackeyedGruesome · 27/09/2019 09:39

I really need to find the list of the last few things and get those soon. There is a certain level I have got in my head... Complete that and I will feel I have done everything I can. It is very close now.

Dontlickthetrolley · 27/09/2019 09:39

Aldi do a very acceptable fake shreddie and shredded wheat, but we have to have kellogs rice krispies in this house, Aldi were not an acceptable swap!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2019 09:54

I got a £5 off £20 voucher for Iceland yesterday, so I'm going to buy more stuff tomorrow. I've very little left to get really.

Bluebell9 · 27/09/2019 10:00

Shreddies are half price in Tesco at the moment.

Wolfcub · 27/09/2019 10:06

Ocado order submitted more tins. Cuppa soup. More frozen veg. Pasta, shelf stable potato and more bread making stuff.

CactusAndCacti · 27/09/2019 13:07

but we have to have kellogs rice krispies in this house, Aldi were not an acceptable swap!

I shudder at the memory of the Aldi ones.

My plan is to go to Home Bargains one lunch time next week, I can park right outside which makes it easier. I can also pop into Iceland for ambient things.

yolofish · 27/09/2019 13:33

been in 2 diff sainsbos in the last 2 days, and some very weird gaps on the shelves, tuna steak in sunflower oil v difficult to find, as was own brand cold and flu tablets (to name but 2). Am hoping it is due to Christmas stock rationalisation, but I'm not sure.

Orangecake123 · 27/09/2019 14:15

The tesco delivery to my mother arrived.

The date on all the long life milk is June 2020. The other milk I bought from Aldi was until feb.

Socksontheradiator · 27/09/2019 14:24

That's a good date for the milk. I looked at milk in pound land and the use by was Nov, so didn't bother.
yolofish I wonder if we notice the gaps more than we did, as we are looking out for signs of stockpiling?
I do keep wondering whether people will suddenly start stocking up, who thought it was unnecessary before.

On a slightly different note, I have bought some second hand books and writing paper and board games for just in case Internet/power go down at any point. So reliant on interweb and telly here.

CactusAndCacti · 27/09/2019 14:32

I think the cold and flu tablets are because there is just quite a horrible bug going round. I have a box of tablets at home and work so needed two boxes. The basic own brand ones were only about 60p

Orangecake123 · 27/09/2019 14:56

My local big supermarket has not had ANY ferrero rochers for the past 3 weeks. Shock I could buy them from another store but I know they sell them for £0.35p more.

BlackeyedGruesome · 27/09/2019 15:12

Need to stock up on the children's toothpaste. Was waiting for an offer but it is getting a bit late now. ( Reminded by the 35p comment)

School run time. Must look for my list again afterwards.

Orangecake123 · 27/09/2019 15:20

@socks I think most people are a bit too dependent on the internet myself included. Which board game did you buy? A pack of cards can also go a long way but I remember spending hours playing monopoly as a child.
