People are meeting at College Green (just down the way from Parliament Square) this evening at 5:30 (and on I guess)

Saturday 31st there is a protest outside Downing street at 12pm. See photo.

I'll add any more that I see. Feel free to do the same.

Job for tonite for those at home:

"I have been asked to email/tweet David Lidington to ask him to vote for the bill stopping no-deal Brexit this evening.

Please can you do so too? Alternatively, call his parliamentary office (might be too late but you never know - 0207 219 4573)

Twitter: @DLidington

Please thank Philip Lee too: www.facebook.com/DrPhillipLeeBracknell/

Parliament Square huge demonstration tonite. Smile

Morning all, sorry, I was too exhausted to update yesterday. It was a good evening. It was quiet on Parliament Square to start with, so I went down to College Green to link up with SODEM. It was not quiet down there Wink

Parliament square packed out later. Then as it emptied out I was beginning to think the demo was over, when a large and noisy group of protestors arrived who had taken to the streets, closing them to traffic.

There were brexiteers around. Mostly they coexisted fairly peacefully alongside remainers and those who did not want to see parliament prorogued. A small number were unpleasant though I still felt safe.

More demonstrations today :) In London get to College Green before 6 if you want to help SODEM during the 6pm news and 6:30 STOP BREXIT shout. It feels good to be doing something, rather than just talking about stuff.

If you can't make any demos, please write to the rebels, let them know they did the right thing and that they have your support.

Morning. 😁

Popping in to say there's a cross-party mass rally in Parliament Square (London) 4:0-8:30 tonight.

I'll be going to that, I think. Though I'm torn between it & the protest outside the Home Office.

Sending love, support and resistance to everyone protesting: you are sisters of my heart. 💐💐💐

I'm in Parliament Square, taking part in 'Defend Our Democracy' (as an audience member). The speeches have been great.

Dominic Grieve And Philip Lee had cheers and chants of, 'You are not alone.'

thecatfromjapan · 04/09/2019 19:47

And Freedom of Movement, Migrants' Rights protest is here now!

So much protest.

🙂

London demonstrations on Saturday:

Another Europe will lead a gathering outside Downing Street from 2:30

Defend Democracy will have speakers in Parliament Square. (Not sure of timings of that.)

Interesting there were loads of UKIP banners out on Tuesday but none seen since. Looks like a bussed in crowd with no self-motivated support.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/09/2019 14:39

That would make sense. It was a bit odd to suddenly see UKIP when there were none on Saturday.

Protests, protests - 38 of them registered for this Saturday. Check out the map to see if one is near you.

I'm away this Saturday, so I'll miss the protests then.

Hope everyone going has fun.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/09/2019 17:54

I hope everyone who has been on a protest today has had a good day if that's the right way to put it.

It looks like pro leave have been clashing with police. twitter.com/BBCHelena/status/1170354860237164546 in total contrast to any of the peaceful rallies I've been on.

Oh dear. It looks nasty. And Anna Soubry had to withdraw fearing for her own safety. Worrying times.
